Don't use this company, it is completely fraud, I have sent 3000$ July 4 and was not able to send even though provided correct bank info and 2 bank account but was not able to send than cancelled transactions, now today 30th July and not getting money back
Tried to send money to friend overseas that I sent to before using same account. Remitly puts money on hold and tells me to call them. I call them and they asked so many very personal questions that I thought were very inappropriate to verity account and transfer. Finally they send the money to my friend. I wake up the next morning not only to find out the money transfer was canceled but also my account locked. I called and they said that my account was closed but they cannot be specific as to the reason why it was closed. Never experienced any crap like this. This company definitaley will not be around long if they do business like this.
So I admit that I think the person I was sending the money to was a scammer (she was supposed to get me a deal on plane tickets through Trip Advisor and I found her through Upwork) but why close my account?
So the person getting scammed is responsible for the scammers?
They REFUSED to give me a reason citing their privacy & protection. EVERY company who doesn't care about their customers says that.
Then they tied up the funds on my credit card because the transaction had been initially approved.
This is my 4th call & I STILL can't get the money returned to my credit card. Yesterday I heard that whoever processed the refund didn't do it properly.
All you get are people who don't understand English and it takes forever for them to think, speak and all they do is make mistakes.
Now I'm waiting for a manager to call me AGAIN.
After trying to send money overseas my transfer was cancelled and my money was debited and I have been contacting remitly for weeks to get my money back, today after remitly informed me that they tried to credit my account but that it was my bank in Australia that was blocking the payment I asked them to give me an address where I could lodge a complaint to remitly, the person in the chat room gave me an address that doesn't even exist... I have no idea if I will ever get my money back but one thing is for sure, I will never use your service again because in the end it's called a breach of trust and I can say goodbye to my money!
Save yourself some headache and stay away. They will take money from your bank, put the transfer on hold and if you request cancellation. That will take 7 BUSNIESS DAYS. Some documentation that they will require to send money, SSN, drivers license, paystub, bank statement, mailing address and phone number. I am not sure what they do with all these information, this is more like applying for mortgage.
Remitely will allow you to open the account. Take the funds of the transfer and then cancel your account without explanation of how to retrieve the funds you just entered.
Total RIP-OFF. STAY AWAY! Money will be lost.
I ended up with Remitly with the highest currency transfer and looked at the revieuws to see what people would say.
I definitly dont agree with those revieuws.
The money has already been procesed and is ready for pickup, in less then 15 min.
The transfer is from the Netherlands to Morocco.
I can definitly recommend them, its easy en really quick!

These guys are just pice of crap. Tried sending money to Pakistan, because the app for aria was not working. The money was to be delivered on July 21, they asked for a piece of ID of the recipient which I uploaded right away. The status was showing in progress then. My recipient tried to get the money on July 21. Was told it wasn't available. I contacted their customer service and was told that the I'd was not forwarded to the verification department. And they will send it to them right away. I received an email from them that the money has been transferred to the bank in Pakistan.
The recipient went back on July22, and was told money was not there. I contacted them again and still verification. I asked for a manager, was told it's a part of the service agreement. The whole purpose of family emergency is brought down to ground and only for a small amount of $270.00. Waste of time... won't ever use again.
My mom had to go to the banks 3 times and still cannot get the money I sent to her in USD. Once it stucks because her middle name doesn't show up, there is no place in the app for it, the other time it was because the bank that I picked in the app refuses to pay in USD, the other time is because I request adding middle name but customer service did not do it for me, and I am not sure the next time my mom gonna get any trouble with bank and remitly. It's been many days.

Can anyone convince me to use Remitly again,i doubt it!
Remitly have withdrawn twice of the same amount for my transaction and claimed it was a bank error not them after I have found out about it.So dissappointing
Remitly works until it doesn't. Terrible customer service. I am not sure if they are incompetent, rude, or both. I was locked out of my account without explanation.

Its been 3 months now. They did not refund my money back. Every time i contact them still there answer is same. I dont know what to do. Their service is disgusting
Very horrible company. Never will I use their service again. Their promise of few minutes delivery is scam. Stay clear from this company. They Need to be sued, and SHUT DOWN.

I used Remitly for the. First time. They took the money. From my credit card, then cancelled my transfer. When I. Contacted their customer. Service agents to complain and ask why they had canceled my transaction ((using thir chat line) I found out that they had alsso blocked my. Account, when. Ii asked why the Agent, hiss name was Wendel tollld me to read the ttrmmss and conditions, he told me if I gave him my telephone number security would call me within. 10. Minutes,, I am still waiting 14 days later.
I. Will return to WesternUnion, Remmitly are just scam artists.

When I tried to log in, I noticed my acct was suspended for 'suspicious activity'. And they only have an idiot bot to chat (no humans)... not much help. Western Union is a much better choice.

All the reviews are from overseas foreign workers (India?) and are phony. They ask for WAY too much personal information and will cut you off without explanation. Not trustworthy
I used two different bank cards. Each time "some "suspicious activity" was noticed and the transaction was cancelled. I went on chat with their support only to wait for their response about 5 minutes each time I typed something in. The person simply copy-pasted the same messages I received after submitting my transfer request. I told them they wasted close to 20 minutes of my time and ended the chat.
I tried their phone support and got to talk to a woman with a very strong (I'm assuming) Indian accent. I could barely understand her. Same story. She would "check on something" time after time and tell me the same stuff I already got before. No way to solve the issue or even learn what the problem was in the first place. I was told I will hear back from them within 24 or 48 hours (don't remember now). Needless to say, they never called or emailed me.
I would say, their customer service will not solve anything for you. Just because they pick up the phone reasonably fast, doesn't mean it will result with you getting any help.
That's my experience with Remitly. My warning to others: use at your own peril.

Remitly, will quize you to death on your first transaction. If Remitly thinks you wont be a profitable customer, they lock your account and cancel your first transaction. If you have to call the call center, which is not in the United States, expect to have your transaction canceled and your account sign in frozen out. They are not seroius about doing business, they are just interested in making billionaire investors like Jeff Bezos richer at the expense of the Global poor. I will never do business with them again. Hope Wall Street toast this bogus company!
