Used to love it but you are bombarded with offers which means spending money. You get less and less tokens and cash so to continue playing you need to pay. Avoid.
This game used to be great, fair game and you could progress with a good win rate and getting gold rewards and cash upon completing challenges and voting.
Now gold and cash have been converted to coins and you ended up with significantly less.
They took inventory away that had already been bought with real cash in the way of buying tokens to unlock, now you have to progress through the levels in order to win it back?! If you don't play for awhile then you slip back down the levels and can end up with newbie status even though you may have 9000+ designs.
This is really not fair especially for long time players who have lost more inventory as they have been playing longer and accumulated more.
Disgusting treatment of customers who pay hard earned money to play a game that at one time was fun and relaxing.
Avoid if you want to not waste money and appreciate a company who values your custom and loyalty as Redecor most certainly do not!
Redecor stole 137$ from me by selling obsolete currency which was falsely advertised. Support refused to help me or refund my money. Apple support blindly denied my request for a refund and also refuses to help me.
There is no accountability. Redecor will take your money, BEWARE!
This app was actually fun. Though you could spend some cash here and there, you didn't have to in order to decorate spaces.
This all changed overnight about a couple of months ago. They choose the inventory you can have and is completely limited to the most boring and outdated decor items. You want a rug that goes with your decor aesthetic? PAY FOR IT.
WALL PAPER? PAINT? PILLOWS? PAY FOR IT, PAY FOR IT.
IT HAS BECOME A COMPLETE BORING RIP OFF?
Time to move on…
This app is okay if you have a lot of money to spend and nothing to show for it afterwards. Rooms I believe are chosen by an augurithum. When playing most games your materials are chosen for you, and the choices don't fit the theme of the space. Most of the time the choices chosen for me, I would never use in any space I create. There're better apps out there where you can design your own space and choose the fabrics and furnishings you desire. I recommend Decormatters great app.
I purchasing or sometimes win silver, gold coins and paper money. Before I get a chance to use my winnings, Redecor takes them away.
I, too, loved this game. Gave me more confidence in designing. Now? It's a rip off. Few new designs or repeated designs, they take the things you already paid for away. This has to stop. They make think they're immune to a class action suit, little do they know that no one can waive their right to sue. Unfortunately, I don't have much 'going on' right now so I continue to play and be taken advantage of. Pisses me off. Anyone know of a better design gane?
Check you cell phone because this game automatically sets to full access to a
ALL you photos! Not sure why this game needs to access your photos. But it says it also access dept and location!
When you start palying the game gives you great items (with limited uses) to use. Your initial designs almost always come 1st place. But then everything changes. There are challenges that in order to play you need to spend real cash because one out of the 7 or 10 items is only available by paying money. Still, if you pay you come 1st-2nd place a few items, but then, no matter how good your design is you end up 4th and below so that you wont get game currency and you will have to pay cash again. It is plain and obvious after a few days that the game is unfair and totally rigged.
I had to do a factory reset on my phone. Reinstalled the app using my original email. Progress and purchases GONE. I have records of every penny I have spent on this app throug Google Pay. In process with BBB to get my money back. Not everyone uses Facebook.
Takes your ideas and uses them WON'T give you all the items purchased to use on challenges Keeps diverting you to purchase more constantly as if you haven't already Con artists
I purchased "star coins" on this app several times and my count never went up and they refused to give me a refund for my purchase. They claimed I needed to keep logging out and logging in after each purchase. They got forty dollars from me for nothing in return! One day I had 125 star coins and then without doing anything on the game I saw that the next day my coin count was down to 85. And without coins you can't do designs. It's made to keep forcing you to purchase coins. It's bull$#*!. They also don't allow you to see any of your purchases or dates and times of those purchases at all. Totally shady. Scam, scam, scam! Do not recommend this app.
I noticed some extra charges on my credit card that I didn't recall making from Redecor. Started watching more closely and keeping track of purchases that I did make and, sure enough, a charge I did not authorize shows up the next billing cycle. After requesting my account be eliminated, I get a cutesy email stating that they will cancel my account as soon as I decide to do that. Again I requested the account be closed and … crickets. DO NOT download this game and watch your bank statements if you have already signed up for this scam.
You don't have to follow the rules in the briefs. There is no point. The one who spend more money, he/she wins. Obviously they use algorithms.
Most of the time. I've learned to avoid noticing user names and avatars and don't do some challenges. I don't know how much devs may have turned this into a separate gamer for every user, but the thing I'm noticing lately is that some days I could vote all day and hardly earn any Redecor dollars or tokens if I participate in challenges. I've learned to give myself a set amount I can spend per challenge, and then I have to vote until I pay myself back. I wonder how this works for anyone with a busy schedule. It's a lot of hoops for what's supposed to be a relaxing game, but still better than the vast majority of online games.
Lots of disgusting/sexually suggestive/negative attention seeking/menacing avatars and user names. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy decorating party houses, rooms with flying pillows, haunted rooms and similar junk. It got on my nerves, along with the sense that anything goes if it's done in a lowkey way and will attract a wide enough audience. Too much like the worst of social media. And it's true if you won't pay real cash you will be restricted to awful looking choices for your decor. Plus I sometimes got the feeling each user's activity can be remotely monitored while in progress and perhaps even directly influenced, though I'm sure we call this glitches.
Redecor is killing itself by continuing to update the app in ways that make it far less interesting and fun. The people who continually win challenges are those who pour real money into each challenge. I played for almost 2 years. Initially, it was fun. Now, not so much.
At first this app was fun, however they do not honor all of the challenges. Be prepared to not get the promised rewards and canned unhelpful responses from "customer service." The paywall has grown exponentially since I began playing 3 months ago. You won't have fun for long unless you plan on spending a lot of money. The voting is definitely rigged. The game is glitchy and goes down frequently. The app issues have caused many players to lose prizes in money both real and in-game and Redecor is not willing to make it right. I feel scammed by this game.
Besides the money ripoffs noted in the other reviews:
1) They rarely have design theme materials that can fill the supposed clients design requirements.
2) First place designs (and others) rarely respond too the clients requests. When I do one of the design challenges I try very hard, including purchasing additional design material" in order to try and meet the clients design wishes. This seems to count for nothing. I enjoy doing this sort of games but spending $100's of dollars a week is just too much for how poorly the game is managed. A shame daft his could be the best game online.
The new game developer that purchased Redecor turned it from a fun and addictive game who treated their players so well, to a greedy insulting money grabbing game. When purchasing the season pass was once enough to create designs is since no more.
They no longer rank designs and have voters vote on them to decide the winner as they once did. While they claim to do so, too many instances debunking their FAQs have happened.
In no way should Playtika, a criminal company who specializes in gambling sites, should be running a game like this.
They will plummet in sales and rightfully deserve to. They promise mew and exciting things and sure they put out new materials but they tripled the prices. When you post on their FB page, they quickly delete and mute you so others don't discover what you have uncovered.
It is a complete shame what they have done to a game that was once wonderful before they acquired it.
Since Playtika bought Redecor they have taken materials away from players who purchased them.
Playtika is using the same strategies as its gambling apps and has become very pushy with players to spend more money
The season pass doesn't give players the same opportunities as it used to
They've raised prices a lot, over 400% on some while lowering rewards to force players to spend more cash
Playtika's main growth strategy is to acquire games and then to enhance the scale and profitability of those games. One way to do so is to increase in-game revenue per user by increasing the prices and by limiting in-game options when the user does not pay enough.
Playtika's ambitiousness and greediness to push low-revenue players to pay more create a risk of losing the attraction of its social games, and worst of all, its strong communities.
Answer: There are virtually no "good" ways to to spend tokens or coins. They do everything they can to convince you that you MUST have the newest and most expensive. Not so. I've started buying only the monthly Season Pass for $4.99. They'll get no other money from me.
Answer: Mine does this also! Especially when placing items on the picture
