Reading Plus

No wonder kids hate reading when teachers assign them this its so boring. What happend to 20 minuts of reading each right. Where the kids could read what they want at there own pace and they dont have to go faster. When you get a question wrong it just takes you back to the text. And when you get a vocab wrong it just gives ou a dictanry definition. Why cant we just have them do 20 minuts of reading each night.

This app is literally too stressful you get a few wrong and It makes you do like 5 new ones and I only have four days to do it and My school doesn't do it on the last day cuz of this think called thrilling Thursday and its so hard to keep up with everything ugh

At least i only have to 2 a week but this is horrible whats the point of doing this why cant we read actual books not these boring disgraces to literature

Waste of $#*!ing time, this website is nothing but the used crack needle forcefully shoved up my $#*!, I have assignments all $#*!ing day just to have to do this $#*! as well or else it'll slowly decay at my grade effecting every other piece of $#*! work I have to do

These stories boring and stupid as $#*! if not downright false with its information, if you get even 2 wrong it ruins the entire grade making progress extremely slow I'm not even trying anymore I don't read the stories I put whatever $#*!ing answer I've given up there is truly no god

Reading Plus thought they would be so funny, doxxing me and taking my location. It's DESPICABLE. I haven't seen this bad of a site in my 2 years of living. Horrendous, and sometimes the vocabulary practice doesn't even have the proper definition, it's some definition nobody's ever heard of! AND IT CALLED ME OBESE! BOYCOTT READING PLUS. I am TIRED of this, I work tirelessly to get 8 lessons done and IT'S STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH YOUR TIME WILL COME READING PLUS... I HOPE THE NEXT PRESIDENT SHUTS DOWN UR STUPID APP AND MAKES YOU PAY EVERYBODY BACK THEIR MONEY, PLUS TAX, PLUS INTEREST (interest applies to the already added tax)

As a student I try to be as tolerable as possible with sites and platforms that the school makes us use, but this is just awful. It's tedious, the articles aren't interesting, it's hypocritical by telling you to slow down even thought it's literally trying to track your reading rate. When I read, I need to reread things sometimes and the "scan" way of reading it provides is super unhelpful and distracting. It doesn't let you go back while reading either, so if you read without actually thinking, then you can't go back. The "rewards" are stupid too. No one cares about an achievement in a reading program. Unfortunately, you can't use the reward system psychology with this. I absolutely despise the way they teach you to read faster. I can't comprehend things whenever the words are trapped in a tiny box I'm forced to follow.

This section isn't about reading plus, but schools as a whole. Schools don't pay attention to student reviews when it comes to educational sites because they believe that kids just hate school and don't make any valid points. I believe that I've made some valid points and I'd like to be heard on these subjects

DO NOT EVER GET THIS THING! It is just simply HORRID and it has caused multiples near-deaths as you can see from the other reviews. It should not be allowed in schools, it is a very poorly designed website and it hardly even does the one thing it was meant to do.I does NOT encourage reading at all.

This was the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen, my teacher wants us to do it but ive been put on support ode which is calling me stupid. And right as im writing this reveiw its telling me im doing a great job! A REVEIW ISN'T A ESSAY READING PLUS, and its telling me how to right a better reveiw? Why? Reading plus im assuming your calling me stupid. I am so good at reading im honestly offended. I cannot belive this why you would ever do this to me, my feelings have been hurt by you therefore ive given you a 1 star.

All the stories are so boring and we are forced to read them. It's that or a bad grade. I don't understand why can't we students just do regular REAL reading from a book.

Reading Plus is a horrible way for students to learn "silent reading" or vocab. There are people willing to make a better solution then this horrible hellhole of a reading program.

The readings that you read through answer question is dog poo and you can't set what reading level you want to be in and what the reading speed you want to be nor the program won't allow to read in your own pace you have to read that pace until your able change it or reach the limit.

The website came out of the Windows Visa era with the buttons and the whole UI having the glass appearance and it is eye bleeding to stare at for a long period of time. The program needs to be more fun and less of pain and also having a UI similar to NoRedInk. Like at least NoRedInk got it down for UI and not being a pain but it is still eye watering too stare at. Anyways! Reading Plus is a crappy program for teaching students and it's website UI.

I think there needs to be a way to reset your score. There needs to be better things to read, such as, jiu-jistu, instead of kratae. That is the worst most useless thing ever. I wish i could rate this one fourth of a star. Very bad, might be the third to sixth worst thing in the univese.

I hate it, it makes me wanna never read again even though I love reading and it's something I'm ever so passionate about, but school and this website just really pushes me to my limits. The window is really horrible and irritates me a lot, it makes me read like two words per second when I read really fast and quick and that's how I like reading and that's how I enjoy it, it pisses me when on the fourth bit where you read on your own without the window that when I tap the screen after I'm Done reading which is really quick it stops me and makes me reread. I hate reading with it. The window distracts me from reading a lot, making the other words all blurry so I can't focus because it keeps moving. The questions don't make sense, because why would my score get lower all for reading the text again? That doesn't happen in real life, I don't lose a mark for rereading. I think the creators should really have a check on the reviews they are getting because in my opinion it's not good. Anyone who says they like it is joking or just a generally weird person. My school makes us compete against each other to be better at reading plus all because this one stupid student does 33 reads instead of the normal 5 my teachers set us. It's horrible, awful, irritating, annoying and bored the absolute heck out of me. I hate it, not one tiny minute little bit do I even like it. I would give it -10 stars or 0 but I can't, so I have to give it a one even though it's no where close to that.

Even though the answers may be grammatically correct, if its not correct according to their standards it will mark the question wrong. Teaches incorrect grammar and usage of words on the website.

I think i've said enough but it is completely unhelpful to educate the students properly and any school that does this is not worried about the students academic success at all.

My review please I can't find anything interesting and that I want to read so I don't recommend this stupid and gay website. So if anyone is going through the same your not alone and also the rating of when you get one wrong is BullS**T cause it's like oh you get a red 10 deducted and a yellow is like 3-5 deducted so yeah kind of weird right so pls decrease that to like 5 for reds and like 1 for yellows so I don't keep getting gay 78%s when I do this and I also have no brain cells from staring at a screen for 5 years and cant even go back to the text whenever I want so reading plus if you are reading this please fix these.

I wish i can give this a half star beacause no wonder i hate reading so much. The way the website will inprove is by adding more fun stories, and atleast geting a 70% to pass a seereader. I literally almost fall asleep in class by doing reading plus. Everyone hates this website. Reading plus makes you spend 1 hour to read boring stories and to answer 10 boring questions when i can do the same thing in reality. You can read fun books in real life and answer 10 fun questions. Reading plus is useless.

"NO, NEVER, and NO! Do NOT purchase! It makes you read SOOOOOO SLOW! And it doesn't even help you with your reading. All it does is make students like myself want to die! If you want your kid to practice reading, then a BABY BOOK would be more helpful than reading plus!"
