Reading Plus

My school makes me and do this and it's like misery i'm freaking dying when i do it. All of the people i know like my entire class and some other people from other classes HATE it. My aid teacher says that I have 2 more weeks left of school and that I wont have to do in 6th grade but I am still protesting for the fourth graders who will be inn 5th grade next year and will have to do THIS FREAKING APP. Sorry to hurt your feelings but its the truth no wonder you have 1.2 stars. Pls try to first get better and shorter books to read also in vocabs or vocabulary sometimes i press a word by accident and i get it wrong and then i cant go back so ya byeeee.

Been doing readingplus for years (approximately 5th grade - 9th grade) and an honest review is that it wasn't what people would expect. First off there isn't much fun while in this website cuz it's mostly monochromatic and plain. Most of the stories read here are more like going through a treacherous journey, taking at least 1 hour to complete a story, then taking another 10 minutes for the questions, and if you forget the answer to a question, you have to reread which can take another 5-10 minutes again. The stories provided are lackluster, sure there's a whole variety of things to read, but the selections seem to be AI written and basic informative script. Also the stories can seem outright random with titles and stories that make no sense or look stupid and uninteresting. Barely any first person POV fiction stories or anything that would stand out to the average kid in school. Overall, it feels like being on the Moon, sluggish, low gravity, no atmosphere, no personality.

I am being specific as to what glitches happen, not only that but reading plus expects YOU to get 80% or higher (a lot harder then you think) The stories are just awful and some questions even lie. Some on questions on vocab just make no sense, NO ONE likes this experience, despite America banning reading plus they bring it here, THIS IS THE REASON BOOK NERDS GET MAD, there's nothing good about it and it's going to be apart of our future generation, THIS LOWERS GRADES, this is why I'm depressed, no wonder it's hated so much, only a few DUMB BOTS like it.

I'm in 7th grade and my teachers assign me reading plus. My sister and I have always had trouble with it and we never get super good grades because of it. I used to be the best reader at my school and now I'm failing the very class I should be excelling in. It is because of reading plus because 1 NONE OF THE STORIES ARE INTERESTING! Last year I stayed up till at least 2 am trying to get all greens like what the flip?! I barely slept at all the night and I was super worried that I was gonna get in trouble. Please remove this app. All it does is cause pain and suffering to kids. All the kids at my school agree so uh yeah please remove this app thanks.

Reading plus is a websites that doesn't motivate students to want to learn, there are no updates, no changes, same boring stores, and does not entertain students at all.

Literally so dull I do not want to read AI generated stories about gossip or dams flooding the reading test at the start was actually somewhat fun but the rest sucks.

I have been forced to use this for almost 3 years now. I can tell you now I have never read such boring stories. I am one of the top-of-the-grade kids and I believe these stories (even at the top levels) are written for smaller kids. I am getting 50%'s in this program because I can't bear reading these. I was hoping each time for something like a end where all the characters die or something (sorry I read really gory stuff and all that) and every time I get a low score my rr goes down to an unbearable level so I can't focus. I have actually been a little scared of books because of this program and how boring and bland the stories are. Add a entire section with a ton of unlocked stores (marked with any triggers, of course) and maybe I'll get better grades here. This program is terrible in every way. My eyes hurt because of the background. More background colors would be cool too.

Why do I need to learn how to read. I already know how to read. Why only 2 rereads? If I am given a handbook, I can reread whenever the (censored) I want. Why am I so limited. How is this helpful, because I sure am learning useless information that I will forget the next day. This has unhelpful resources. I can read the entire wiki and say "wow this sure was interesting" but the topics here are (a lot will agree) BORING! So 1 star and this should not be a big part in my grade. BABABABAABAAAAADDDDD

This app does not help with reading its not fun to read any of these story's ever week I will not be using this app it is horrible and no school should buy of use this app.

The lessons are super boring and everytime I get under 80%, it's really frustrating, as I got like 78% which is basically robbery. Lessons can be too easy in one level and too hard in another..

The site is very boring. Since ReadingPlus is to help kids read better, the app teaches you how to read in a very specific method called "G-Rate". Instead of the child using his/her own way of reading efficiently it makes it very difficult. When it is difficult for the child it won't be fun or engaging as it should be.

There are also topics that have almost no interest making the site not very fun to the reader, and it asks you around 10 questions and expects you to get more than 80% by the end. Depending the weight of homework according to the teacher, this can be extremely stressful for the reader if the topic is not interesting and the amount of work and forced reading you would have to do to get the 80%+. This app causes stress to the other readers and me.

A suggestion I have (in my opinion) is that the site would have a place where you could request/suggest for various topics that the reader could actually be engaged within the topic and answer the questions without problem. It could reduce the amount of stress but the rest would be on the teacher.

Overall I give it one stars, if the suggestion was added I would give it a three.

This website is absolutely horrible i cant find anything fun about it i dont learn and it gives me a headache just trying to read on the screen i hate this website and want it gone.

Why do teachers find the need to use this website in the first place? Im a fast reader, which means i have to slow my reading speed way down. This site downplays my reading ability by saying "your reading level is much lower that last time". Bull$#*!. Absolute bull$#*!. I can read 300k+ word books/storys in under 24 hours, and this thing is saying my reading level is "much lower" than last time i did the assessment? This site is a monstrosity to people in school, and should be taken off the internet. It isnt helpful for most people, has nothing interesting for me to read, and downplays/misjudges students reading abilitys. Whoever made this site needs to take. It. Down.

THIS SITE SUCKS BRO. Istfg i HATE it. My teacher assigns me like 6 a week and I absolutely hate it, it stresses me out so much and I have no time to do anything. I can't hang with friends, I get barely any sleep, and I'm way too stressed out. Over quarantine, I've been struggling with depression and mental health and this just makes it worse, I would like it better if there were more interesting stories, I feel like then I would actually want to do my work.

I was a happy child once until covid struck. Now, it wasnt covid itself. It was the introduction of reading plus. My school was forever changed. Hat first it was 8 inchest now its -8 inches i did 29.999 minuted of reading plus then my english teacher nuderd me, I found my first computer hanging from a tree with a not on it saying i just couldnt take it anymore. In fact we have seen a increase in suicides after reading plus. I haven't seen john in a while. Now hitler is the principle of my school and osama bin laden it the assistant princible. Im just waiting for the school to explode.`

Reading plus may seem good but it does not do good on telling how fast you should go and you can not customize to your liking so I do not recommend reading plus.
