This website is a complete garbage site created by pro-Israel interest groups with the sole purpose of pushing Zionist narratives and false Jewish mythologies above all while censoring scientific facts. Practically all large social media and information sites are controlled by them but Quora is particularly special in how blatant it is; much worse than Wikipedia which is already terrible. It pretends to be inclusive and unbiased but let's be honest here, anything that has a central authority will be under their complete control, especially if they were the ones who created it in the first place. If you counter their general narrative with proof and facts, which is very easy to do by the way, they will fabricate an excuse to have you censored and banned.

Edit: Just to be more precise, in my case they blocked me for allegedly violating the "name policy" based on no evidence whatsoever even though I was using my full real name and they won't even respond when I appeal the moderation decision.

Far left propaganda masquerading as impartiality. If you don't like being told exactly how you should be thinking by biased ideologues pushing their political dogma, avoid it.

Getting worse!

After using Quora for about 4 years, I am disappointed to find that Quora's quality of replies is rapidly decreasing. The power of commercialization..

I agree with another user; Quora has a definite politically correct vibe. Last straw was when the daily digests they sent me had a rainbow 'Q' icon. So much for impartiality to all viewpoints.

"Feelings don't care about your facts" should seriously be the new Quora slogan lol. Quora's so-called "moderators" are truly the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen on the internet. A statement as harmless and inoffensive as "women nag more often than men" and that "women possibly enjoy nagging" is enough to get these snowflake moderators to be all up in arms, calling it "hate speech" and a "violation against the site's rules." Quora moderators take PC culture and sensitivity to a whole different level that I never thought was even possible. Saying "the sky is blue" or "birds have wings" is probably already enough to trigger these snowflake mods, and could get you perma-banned. It's safe to say that free speech is basically non-existent in Quora. The whole site is basically just one big "anti-free speech" and "PC/liberal answers only" site, and anything that you say that is remotely conservative or slightly offensive, will get you permanently banned or close to being banned from the site.

Oh and that whole "be nice, be respectful policy" is complete nonsense. It's just a convenient way for the mods to silence any answers that they disagree with. On Quora, only one side of an argument is allowed to talk, while people who have a different stance on the issue has to "shut up" and get banned. This site is so biased it's not even funny. Do yourself a favor, and stay far far away from this site. If you want answers to questions, look elsewhere.

I was very enthusiastic about Quora when I first signed up for it, being a 'refugee' from Yahoo Answers which has become a forum for the very young and, often, very stupid. By comparison Quora seemed to have attracted the more mature of us and I enjoyed many months of formulating (hopefully) good informative answers and sharing personal experiences which I hoped would be useful.

To my horror I then received a mail saying that a perfectly good, measured answer had been collapsed because it 'did not fully answer the question'. No protest or appeal possible! And that meant that all the rest of answers I had spent my time giving were vulnerable to the same fate.

No, no no Quora! That's not right! I'm out of there.

Seemingly, I may change my mind as they have allowed a 14 day cooling-off period before deleting my account, but my time spent on formulating answers is worth so much more than Quora give credence for, particularly when I note the number of banal questions that are posted, untroubled by Quora's intervention!

Quora has Moderators that are supposed to control content i. E. no hate speech, no insults, limiting curse words, etc. In practice, those who are Conservative or Republicans have questions and answers deleted on a routine basis. In just one day, I had 23 answers collapsed, some of those answers had been posted for over a year. I suspect someone(s) didn't like what they saw, so they reported my comments and Quora collapsed them. My appeals were rejected by the moderators. I had 62 comments collapsed in the month of October 2019, some of those had been seen by over 47,000 people and had been posted for over 1 1/2 years. No matter to the moderators, they collapsed them all.

Currently, I have been blocked from commenting on Quora, with no explanation.

I suspect it is a question I posted in Quora that asked,"Democrats: How fair of an FBI interview do you think Mike Flynn got when before the meeting a FBI agent said," "What's our goal? Truth/Admission or get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?"

It seems the Liberals and Democrats didn't like that question one bit. I was immediately blocked from commenting, without any reason given. At quora, Democrats and Liberals are all in favor of free speech until they see or hear something they don't like

The majority of answers to questions I explored on Quora are constructive, helpful, thoughtful, and possess merit. I value reading multiple answers from people around the world, and I appreciate when people provide info about their credentials. While there are a few unhelpful, self-serving or negative responses, the majority reflect positive, well-meaning people offering truly helpful responses. One thing I like about this site is the focus on constructive dialogue even on contentious issues (very little in the way of rude, offensive, or judgemental language -- people leave crude language, profanity, etc. out of their responses (or I guess they are filtered out). Collapsed answers, which are not readily promoted, generally failed to answer the question in a helpful way or to provide supportive evidence for some of their responses; they might simply express a rudely worded opinion without any support or justification -- not really helpful. Quora is not meant to be a venting medium, and I value this about it, too. It focuses on exploring answers to questions. I have found this site very helpful. My one caution is that the information is given in goodwill, as I understand, so if you are sharing unique ideas there's a possibility others may use your ideas to their own advantage (publication, etc.). I'm not sure what the copyright is on the information you provide. Otherwise, I have found this site helpful, intelligent, and full of well-meaning exchanges of info between people living in various communities around the world. I love it!

There is a lot of anti-Western propoganda on Quora and for the most part, the site seems to be okay with it. Most of it comes from Chinese bloggers who often use pseudo-English names. It is very misleading information and one does wonder how Chinese could be blogging on an American site without permission from the CCP.

I have posted on Quora and found that it is controlled by special interest groups. For instance, Democrats gain control to crowd out Republicans. How is it done? They SIG uses 100 accounts to REPORT FOR VIOLATIONS any content they want removed. And the stupid bots and mods comply. For instance, I posted some verifiable facts about Jehovah's Witnesses, and that group has a special office that REPORTS with over 50 accounts. They are successful in getting undesirable facts about them removed so that they can continue their door to door propaganda campaign.

I just finished reading an "opinion" on Borderline Personality Disorder. Downright dangerous and disgusting. A blanketed and narrow minded, bigoted point of view on what is a very serious and real mental illness. I am actually appalled that this site is allowed to get away with publishing such a dangerous and one sided dialogue. Clearly the perspective of a person who has been in a partnership/friendship with someone who has this illness and got burned. Boo Hoo. Perhaps the relationship ended because the writer was such an incredible tosser! As a person who actually has this illness, and has fought it most of their life, I can tell you, reading this was quite distressing. So basically I am someone who feels hated, and should not bother to ever have a relationship because I am just a manipulative and self absorbed cow, it will just always end the same way?

I guess my "opinion" here of basically an intolerant and narrow minded person is unwarranted? What a shameful and stupid site this is. Proof of why social media is and will be the downfall of society.

It is an understatement to say Quora has a twisted agenda under the pretence of running a Q&A site. It is not even something difficult to look at as they make it so transparent when you know what to look for. They want to dumb down people and let them think their opinions matter than they really are, and you know what they say about opinions. If you ever sign up for this god forsaken site, you got to see the kind of answers and questions that appeared in your email digest and daily feed. I am convinced the excruciatingly poor moderation is actively promoting only the kind of answers and questions they like and blast them out to the www while any other answers worth your attention (but not aligned to agenda) is either hidden or not found to begin with. For a site supposedly built for knowledge, this is ridiculous and unacceptable. No one should ever spend 2-5 hours sifting through their feed just to get it right. The site is a disgrace, and I think it will do a lot of people a favor if it ever get shut down.

IF they were NOT libtards they would NOT post such hateful slanted questions and then promote them by emailing them out to everyone who shows interest in the political category. Oh but look, Quora company is based in Mountan View, Ca., no wonder, that is the same town as GOOGLE Corp offices... do you see the dots connecting here. Just like GAIA, owned and operated by the evils of the people...

I wrote an answer to expose a pedophile (A pedophile, someone who likes little kids in a sexual way), but, Quora didn't take down the account who was trying to date little kids, it took down my answer because of the BNBR policy. Also, when I paste an answer I wrote, it becomes blank? Fix that.
