For starters, I thought I was going to a somewhat real auction type event, but that was really not the case was it?
It would have been nice if Quibids was more upfront as to what they're really up to. And to call themselves for what you really are,. A casino offing cheap prizes, with an occasional expensive item here and there to entice people to come and gamble in their casino!
It took me a little bit of time to figure it all out. I now realize Quibids is nothing more than a cleverly orchestrated gambling game, disguised as an auction, with Quibids itself being the REAL winner at the end of each auction.
As a result, I don't use Quibids any more at all.
I congratulate the owner(s) of Quibids, they've pulled off the perfect casino, without having to go through any of the normal governmental gambling licensing requirements, because of their "Buy it Now" button.
I'm not a huge fan of the auction style that Quibids uses. It felt like I didn't have much of a chance of winning any of the items. I went on the Quibids FB site, and it looks like there may be some inherent flaws with the format that allows for automated bidding, people who are allowed to bid/win auctions over their allowed limit, and a very low chance for the "average Joe" to win any auctions. Based on the posts on Quibids FB page, I asked for a refund of my remaining bids, which they did very quickly. Quibids has great customer service, which; unfortunately, does not make up for the bidding format.
My a purchase ad didn'even know it, at the age of 77 sometime you do things you don't know what your doing. It was my fault but any way I could get a refund? If not I understand. Mary Williams.

What a rip off. The hot bids are placed at hot times of the day so that many folks bid. They lure you into paying $45 for some 70 bids (to be honest, i thought I had clicked the option to get just $15 worth of bids, but when you're a first timer, they trick you into paying $45). It's just a rip off and works for folks who have time to sit around and wait for the unreal deal. As for me, I'm back to ebay where I pay what I'm prepared to pay without silly gimmicks like this. My warning - stay away from this site! They will just make you pay for bids, and then you'll feel bad coz you got nothing for the bids you paid for!
Their customer service is a rip. They shipped me the incorrect item i had bid on and paid for and they sent a different item knowing that they had and now i am in a big conflict with them over getting the correct item. They are not going to honor the buy and have a take it or leave it on what i can do to get my product. Stay away from this site don't make the same bad choice i did!
I didn't realize what was really going on and QuiBids returned my $$ no questions asked. I was expecting an argument but was very pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficiently this company helped me.
Let's say you buy a $15 iTunes gift card. Your actual payment amount is $1.25. Wow great deal right? Well, maybe. Considering the bidding started at $. 01 and each bid raised the purchase price by $. 01 and each bid cost the bidders $. 60, the value of the item turned into $75 (. 6 x 125). Now you could have gotten lucky and placed the final bid for $. 60 and got it for $1.85 + $2 shipping = $3.85. Or if you got into a bidding war you could have lost money on it... or even worse you lost the bidding war and you are out many dollars with nothing to show for it. I was fortunate enough to win two $25 gift certificates. Getting them cost me a little over $50. I consider it a wash and learning experience and I'm done. Advice if you try it... don't spot bid. Decide you want something and go for it.
I was unaware that I would charged "upfront" for the bid credits.
I want to cancel my account and have the (upfront) bids charges taken off my credit card account.
They were done right away, no hassles.
Thank you!
This auction site is the best one I have ever joined! Winning definitely happens and if you don't win you can use your bids as credits towards the end purchase of your desired item... which you can change and choose from a massive list of items. It's fun and the best feature is the game feature where special auctions have games attached so you can win more bids to use in future auctions. Shipments are ultra fast too!
I accidentally signed up for QuiBids not realizing you were charged a fee before actually bidding, but thanks to the wonderful customer service they quickly had my monies returned and explained that there was a one time fee to join and then you can bid at any time after that. I will definitely definitely join in the future because of the honesty that was shown. Keep your excellent customer service, I was very impressed!
Was signing up with a free trial costing $1.00 for quibids and was charged 60 dollars instead. Emailed customer support who were great in responding quickly to refund the amount. Just waiting for the refund to hit my account.
Quibids.com lures you in with the promise of getting cheap name brand items at a faction of their retail cost. Don't believe it... run... run... has far has you can from this site. I believe the site is a scam and all you end up "winning' is more of the bidding money packs that the site auctions off. I ended up losing, or should I say given, Quibids $70 dollars before I realized this website is a scam. Now I see them advertising on TV and I feel sorry for the people who will get sucked into giving their money to this website.
Lost a bid of 899 $ because I could not buy more bids with my credit card that had been previously used and approved.
Then when I had the chance to buy the object valued $899 it was not calculated in my bill, i guess for the same reason,. So after passing a couple of hour in the auction I came out with a bill of 789 $ and nothing to show for….
Quite discouraging but I still hope they will correct the mistake.
I cannot thank those of you who pointed out that you can only go up in 1 to 5 c increments. What a scam! I was about to join the site and thought it was too good to be true and looked it up and ended up here. Thanks a lot guys. For the person who had positive things to say about this site in upper case letters and claimed not to be an employee or associated with the site. Are you kidding? Great scam though... the thought does cross my mind... why didn't I think of it?... just kidding...
This site is bait and switch they claim they save you money on new items but they charge you $. 60 for each bid. Boy wish I would have know this before I tried the site and the should disclose it on the TV ad that you have to pay for every bid you make. I am sure the Department of commerce and FCC should look at this site closely to see how they are cheating everyone. You have 50 people biding $. 61 at a time on an item so in reality they are profiting on everyone and make more than the item is worth. I ll go to Best Buy and pay retail or open box item price. At least they will give you complete customer service instead of citing did you read the fine print completely so screw you we have your money just go away unhappy. I tried talking to customer service and disputing the charge on my card the next step is the department of agriculture.
They advertise this as a shopping site but it's really about gambling. There is no way to get the items except by luck and the purchasing of many bids--which translates into a lot of money for Quibids. This is a rip off; don't waste your money!
I wanted to test out the service, however, I did not want to purchase $60 in bids. I would have preferred a smaller amount to start off. After seeing the starting charge, I contacted Customer Service and my charges were promptly returned with no questions asked.
As I said in the other page... I am elderly and did not understand what I was doing and then got charged a large amount and your staff was very helpful in refunding it to me... thank you so much! Living on SS really does not go very far so have to watch my pennies.
Eric and Tammy took care of my problem when I asked for help regarding gift cards not being properly valued. They lacked the dollar amount as stated on the card. They were professional and provided Outstanding response to my concern about the problem. I Love Quibids!
I saw a link for this site (Quibids) on another site... Decided to check it out... ALL I DID WAS LOOK... I had never heard of this site before... I did not sign up for anything nor did I give any information about myself... what do you know... within minutes of logging off I received an email from them... what did they do?... hack into my computer as I was on their site?... how else did they get my email address?... coincidence?... I THINK NOT... STAY AWAY... if it smells fishy it usually is!
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
