QuiBids has a rating of 3.3 stars from 3,064 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with QuiBids most frequently mention customer service, credit card and gift cards. QuiBids ranks 2nd among Penny Auction sites.
There are three phrases uttered by customer service reps that instantly make me ill: 1. "I apologize for the inconvenience, but...", 2. "I'm sorry you had a negative experience..." and 3. "Not at this time"/"At this time we have no plans to..."
Well, after reading the BS responses to the reviews by D-bag Erik, I'm adding a fourth: "I am sorry to hear that is your impression of us..."
What a $#*!.
AS their rep said below..."Erik G. [QuiBids Rep] Hey Gordon! Sorry that you see it that way. The reason there are a group of positive reviews is that we growing community of people who love QuiBids and participate in our Facebook community. You can check it here https://www.facebook.com/quibids and see for yourself that all these reviewers are legitimate QuiBids customers."
What a bunch of BS, all of the 5 star ratings at the begining of August came from people who have 1 review (quibids) and just joined in August. Seems like qubids is trying very hard to make themselves look better than they are. Don't fall for their BS!
Thanks to everyone out there for your ratings and comments... will never join this site,... also was wondering if they don't have anybody else in customer service besides this "Erik G character (robot/alien/ computer... who knows. Never saw a comment from anyone else but him... probly owns the company out of a storage unit... lol
I apologize for the confusion. QuiBids has one account for this site under my name which shows up every time a response is posted. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at support@quibids.com or call 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) or 405-253-2038 anytime Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM CST and you can request to speak to me directly.
Definitely a complete scam... if you watch the ending auctions, the same "people" are bidding over and over again... obviously people are paid to pump up the ending price and suck the money away from regular people.
In addition, all of the "awesome deals" are just nonexistent. Try searching for anything popular... iPhone, LED TV, LCD TV... the listings are all "Buy Now" items. Nothing for auction.
You pay $. 60 per bid, only to be instantly outbid every time until the magic price is reached (so you'll pay hundreds for the item and hundreds for the bidding). PAYING MONEY for permission to buy something? That's a joke.
Save your $60 and put it towards something real, or you'll end up spending hundreds for items you'll never see.

Let me provide some insight that will help you understand the value in using QuiBids. Each bid costs just $0.60. These bids are pre-paid and placed in your Bids Account. Each time you place a bid, your Bids Account is deducted one bid. Once a bid is placed the auction price will go up in one cent increments. A maximum of 20 seconds is also added to the timer every time someone bids. This gives enough time for someone else to make the decision to bid if they're interested. This is similar to the “Going once... Going twice... SOLD!” approach of traditional auctions.
If you are the top bidder when the timer reaches zero, you win! You will then pay the ending auction price as well as the cost of shipping. If you do not win, you lose your bids that have been placed; however, we offer a "Buy Now" feature on all auctions. When you use our “Buy Now” feature, we subtract the cash value of the bids you’ve placed (excluding voucher bids) from the value price of the item, and you only have to pay the difference.
Let's say you spend 30 bids trying to win a $30 valued product, but you don't win. Your 30 bids are worth $18 (30 x $0.60), so if you choose to use the "Buy Now', you would pay $12 plus shipping for the product. *Please note that this offer applies to real bids only, and that voucher bids to do not apply to the ‘Buy Now’ option. This feature limits the risk in participating in our auctions, as we offer the "Buy Now" feature on all of our auctions!

So you are telling me that you pay to bid and if you don't win you loose you money. You know what that sounds like gambling. They just steal your $. You not even getting a service for what you are paying for. Some needs to get balls and sue this company. I can't believe one of the associates said the bid is an investment in the product. That like saying the casino is an investment. Lol brain washed employees r
We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. Online gambling is illegal and QuiBids does not partake in this kind of activity. Gambling implies the uncontrollable element of chance, and because every auction on QuiBids is customer-driven, there is no act of randomness. QuiBids hosts a Buy Now feature on every auction. This assures that no user, having participated in a particular auction, will ever have to walk away without either winning the auctioned item or purchasing it at the listed price.

Hello I just want to WARN everyone of the MANY bait and SWITCH options they are doing. I paid my 60.00 but in total I puchased over 300.00 dollars in bids. I guess I thought quibid was legit but believe me and the others on this page they are NOT. Now to get back to my items as I won two different auctions both for the same item a tablet carrying case but when it said I won it showed a cheap qz ring for one auction and a cheap qz necklace for the other. None showed what I was biddibd on. Whrn I contacted customer service they said it was to late because I had already checked out. They said if I had not checked out and had gone to the item I really wanted I would see a VERY SMALL link that would have given me the choice to get the cheap qz ring or my item. Bait and Switch. Also if you look closely during ANY hour of ANY day you will see the same person winning and bidding on items. Ho we it this possible everyday at any hour 2am 6pm midnight 5pm this is a BOT!
Please do not waste your money. I have a friend who is very good at computers and explained he can take this info I have listed here and post it to many sites. Also called attorney generals office and they are aware of this site and are working to get a large restitution because even though this is an Internet site our state covers it because of the bait and switch. Please people save your money... look at all of these complaints.?...
A big waste of time for the products offered and how long each auction lasts.
I never received the products that I ordered. I called to track the package and they asked me to wait a few more days. After a few more days, I called again, and they said it was too late as it had been thirty days since the order. The did nothing to compensate for my loss of money, or the lost package. The only response they gave to me was that they cannot trace packages after thirty days.
I apologize for the inconvenience, Amy. If at any time you do not receive a product 7-10 business days after it has been shipped out, please contact us right away so we can further pursue a claim. If you would like, contact support directly and ask for myself and I can further assist you with this issue. Below I have provided contact information, and once again I do greatly apologize for this!

I see the small amount these people "paid" for the items and I'm not swayed at all. Why don't they state the amount of money@ $. 60 each bid they paid too in order to win the item? Combining those two amounts would then show how much it REALLY cost them to win the item! Until I see those true dollar amounts, to me personally; Quibids is BS and in no way will I pay $60 for a "beginner" package! That kind of tells you what you are up against right there.
We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. If you purchased bids and did not wish to, we have 100% guarantee refund of any unused purchased bids.
Also, if at any time a bidder reaches the purchase price of an item, we stop that user from bidding and recommend using the Buy Now option. The Buy Now feature offers you the chance to purchase any product at any time during the auction and for up to 2 hours after the auction ends. By utilizing the Buy Now feature, an investment of real bids never has to go to waste. Any ‘real’ bids you place in an auction will be discounted off of the Value Price. Please note: Voucher Bids have no monetary value, therefore do not apply towards the value price when utilizing the Buy Now feature.
I hope this helps provide some clarification! You can find more information regarding the Buy Now here: http://blog.quibids.com/how-to-use-buy-now-to-your-advantage/

On the site for 2 weeks, after winning 3 items for cheap (1 to 4 bids, not received yet) and never using the "bidomatic" feature, i studied several items for days to see bid tendencies, avg bids etc. searched youtube and found some very questionable info but thought i would give it a shot. When i had enough info to bid and win using the bidomatic feature, i lost both of the items against another person or bot (not sure which) because all the info i gathered before the auction went out the window. They both went for record amounts until i was literally out of bids against another that had no problem way over bidding the actual value of the item in the 1st auction. Today was my 2nd try at an item listed at $75 value where i researched the normal win amount (the past 30 times) at 77 bids or less. I started the bidomatic at 77 and was not stopping till i was out of bids. I lost by stopping at 221 (over 3x any previous win) coincidence?. This site reminds me of online poker which I'm very familiar and the sites that have been "caught" and shut down for ripping off players by seeing their cards and playing against them (not fair). Where easy money is involved its always followed by greed. It would be easy to bid against a bot (a machine) that sees your account. Like poker, they could "let" you win a few small items to "hook" you into larger amounts later that you have no chance in winning. I also find it interesting that the total bid history is not available (like ebay), only the last 10 bids from a site that claims to be so transparent. They also claim an independent evaluation as if that holds any water, so did the poker sites. Bottom line for me is that it reminds me too much of the poker scams and how easy it is to steal your money "on line", so i wont be back. Now time for the "quibids rep" to refute this by the "I'm sorry you had a negative experience BUT..." Bottom line there is no "proof" either way until someone gets caught. In the meantime, I'll be at the casino with real people, real dealers and real cards playing for real money.
So I thought it was free to join, you pay when you bid. I was wrong got charge with the 60 buck. So what the heck i try it out. After doing some reading and looking around. For you to win big prize like a MacBook, Ipad, etc you have to bid big or be SUPER lucky and get away with 20 -30 bid according to the history stats. I saw this bid for a Macbook, retail price at $979 and this user bid 399 times, its. 60 cent a bid so you do the math. Yes he got it for cheaper by bidding. But you have to buy the bid, so if you plan on bidding small for big item don't even try it will be a waste. The only way for you to win is to go all. There was a bid on a Macbook, the end price that they bid went all the way up to $126.80. So thats ******* bid total from all the bidder x. 60c thats $7,608! On a MacBook that cost 900 buck. It's a good profit for quibids. I think majority of the user buy the item and resell it on ebay!
Ace, I am sorry to hear that is your impression on QuiBids. Let me first start off by saying you are correct, each real bid is $0.60; therefore, every time you place a bid into an auction, you are investing $0.60 towards the product. QuiBids is a pay to participate website, as mentioned at many places on our site including the registration process and QuiBids 101 help section. We offer bidders the chance to win items at a discounted price. If they do not win the auction, we offer what is called the Buy Now option.
With that being said, it sounds like the 12680 bids that were entered in an auction for a Macbook was a combination of Real bids and Voucher bids. Unlike the Real Bids you purchase at the Bid Store, Voucher Bids are not eligible for a refund, and nor may you use them toward an item’s Buy Now price. In addition, QuiBids does not allow customers to pay more than the retail value of an item. So, if the Macbook was priced at $900, we would stop the bidder from continuing participation in an auction if they reached that price.
I hope this provided clarification. Below I have provided links to our QuiBids 101 and Help sections.

The problem with this type of site is that there is only one winner and at 60 cents a bid you might get lucky and get an item really cheap but the other bidders are ripped off. I have seen an ipad go for $20 but if you figure it out for every dollar an item goes for it's $60 so for an item to sell for $20 that means the company made $1200 for an item that cost them $300. Def a rip off. So you make one bidder happy but the other 500 bidders just gave the company a crap load of extra money.
That is correct, every bid is equivalent to $0.60. Also, just because you do not win the auction does not mean it's over! We offer the Buy Now option: By utilizing the Buy Now feature, an investment of real bids never has to go to waste. Any ‘real’ bids you place in an auction will be discounted off of the Value Price. In addition to that, we will never allow a bidder to bid over the value price of that auction/item.

Everything I needed to know about this site is told by the clustering of positive reviews at the beginning of August, all of them clearly and carefully written with a lot of factual detail, contrasting a long and continuous stream of negative reviews, not always clear, perhaps hastily written or emotional. A company that pays people to pad a review site, maybe a company that shills its own auctions? I'll never find out. Thanks to all who contributed.
Hey Gordon! Sorry that you see it that way. The reason there are a group of positive reviews is that we growing community of people who love QuiBids and participate in our Facebook community. You can check it here https://www.facebook.com/quibids and see for yourself that all these reviewers are legitimate QuiBids customers. QuiBids feels it is unethical to pay or compensate anyone for positive reviews. Anything that is posted on this site is the genuine experience of a customer good or bad. We try to do a lot to educate any potential QuiBids customer on how the site works. For this reason, we provide a thorough help section and QuiBids 101 tutorial that is available to anyone prior to purchasing or placing bids in auction. We have also been independently audited of all internal controls to assure our customers that we do not use shill, bot or company bidders. This practice is unethical and prohibited by our terms of service.
Quibids is absolutely a scam. I watched 2 different items that went on auction at the same time at 5 oclock in the morning (thinking that I could compete against less people). What I saw was pretty funny. The same users were placing BidOMatics bids and single bids at the exact same times, and I do mean at the EXACT same times. I watched over 500 bids go for each item that were IDENTICAL and not one single bid was more than a tenth of a second later than the one on the other item. This is a design just to get people to spend their money on bids with the occasional winners to keep some fairly good reviews. This is more like a lottery than an auction penny site. I hope that people see this message before wasting money on bids. I would suggest actually buying a lottery ticket.
Sorry to hear this has been your impression of QuiBids, Kee. Let me just start by saying that QuiBids is a legitimate business with an A rating with the BBB. You can read more about that here:

What you may be observing is what we call You-Choose it Auctions. This means that you can bid on many different items and once the auction is won, you can select the specific item that you wish to purchase.
Here is how it works: If you navigate back to the auction page, you will see a small link towards the top of that page that says "You Choose It: Update Selection." If you click on that link the system will present you with a list of items for you to choose from. Once you decided for the item you desire, the auction page will reflect that choice. At that point, if you click the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the auction page, the system will successfully add that item to your cart.

I have been a customer of penny auctions for many years and still bid on many sites. I have to say while Quibids is more of a challenge than some of the other sites, they offer a wide selection of items and I love that you can "choose your item." You have to do your homework on some items. Research value to know how high to bid and whether or not to use the bin. You win some and you lose some, but I am ahead overall and consider Quibids my "home" site. Thanks to Quibids for running an honest and fair site.
That is right, Gail! You-Choose it Auctions means that you can bid on many different items and once the auction is won, you can select the specific item that you wish to purchase.

You can get advice from family, friends and strangers, but the best advice comes from your heart; it never lies; trust it. There may be many people that are trustworthy, but only a few are worth trusting with your heart; choose wisely. To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.
I do not recommend this penny website. Very hard to win -- have to play for 6 - 12 hours to bid on something big-- all night long, just to have someone come in and play against you -- I think they have someone on the payroll doing this!
One time I did bid on a TV & spent 12 hours on the computer & didn't win -- had to buy it for the difference of what I had spent in Quidbids -- which was more than I could buy it at Sam's Club -- then it took them over 4 weeks to deliver it -- I contacted them and threatened to rescind my credit card charges, etc. -- we went back & forth! Finally I did get the TV.
Just not professional in my opinion!
Sorry to hear this has been your impression of QuiBids, Diane. When bidding on higher valued items, it is most likely that the auction will last longer compared to lesser valued items. For this, we do offer a feature on the site that will "lock" an auction after a certain amount of time. Locked auctions are a feature on all QuiBids auctions that allows bidders to win more easily by limiting the competition. After a certain point, auctions will become locked and only bidders who have been participating will be able to continue placing bids, while all other bidders will be “locked out.” You can view this same information here: http://blog.quibids.com/locked-auctions-winning-just-got-easier/#more-9427

Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
