Hi, I was a registered bidder at Beezid.com for over 3 years. My total wins were over $300K. Beezid.com closed my account for a reason not listed in their TOS. Beezid is a corrupt company, stay away.
Penny Auctions: To also post your experiences where fellow bidders can see them, see this forum http://pennyauctionsforum.com/index.php also see this facebook page about Beezid https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beezid-The-Truth-Behind-The-Scam/354379261431059.
BEWARE BidClikr and Sean Kellington
Also known as Brian Miller, Richard Stewart. Geographic area Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Also owns WOW1Day Painting franchise in Alberta and is affiliated with Air Sprint.
Sean Kellington admitted (on a bidder forum) to using electronic bots to run up bidding on his previous penny auction site BidClikr. Sean also used several aliases to attempt to shift blame to other parties that didn't even exist. Anyone should be wary of having any business dealings with Sean Kellington as he has no problem lying or taking money from the public under false pretenses.
On his site BidClikr, customers purchased bids in order to bid on items he had up for auction. By using bots to bid against those customers, he stole their bids, thereby stealing their money. Some were able to recoup a portion of their investment by filing chargebacks against their payment processor (most used PayPal), however, bids already used were not refundable. Especially the bids used against the site bots.
Sean Kellington should be banned from operating any future auction site. His business ethics are highly questionable.
In the penny auction world, reserve sites are usually a waste of time for me. Most reserves are so high it doesn't pay to buy bids to win the item. Here is where NidBid.com comes in. Currently, there are several bid packages, the least expensive being $12.50 for 125 bids. Your goal is bid on auctions until you hit the magic ending price! This site ships usually within 24 hours via egift cards. You are able to choose your desired card from hundreds of retailers. The unique aspect of this site is the bids you purchase are only good until 5:00 am cst, so no one can build up a huge bid bank. I recommend this site for anyone wanting to give penny auctions a try. It is possible to make a profit with a very small investment.
Tip for consumers:
Use your won points to purchase bids using no additional investment.
This site was good while it lasted. They closed up shop July 15 and are in negotiations to sell out to another site. Unfortunately, their customers are left holding the bag. No refunds and no items shipped.
I have been a customer of penny auctions for many years and still bid on many sites. I have to say while Quibids is more of a challenge than some of the other sites, they offer a wide selection of items and I love that you can "choose your item." You have to do your homework on some items. Research value to know how high to bid and whether or not to use the bin. You win some and you lose some, but I am ahead overall and consider Quibids my "home" site. Thanks to Quibids for running an honest and fair site.
Tip for consumers:
Stay within your limits and know when and when not to bid. You can do well here.
I was a registered user on Beezid for over 3 years. My wins totaled over $300K, until they closed my account for no reason. They actually still owe me over $15K worth of bids and merchandise. This company is located in Quebec Canada. There is very little help a U.S. complaint can offer. The only way to get anywhere is to continue to file complaints against your credit card company or hire an attorney in Canada. Hit them where it hurts. I have proof Beezid.com shares personal information about its users. Be careful with these high pressured sales people. Customer service is ONLY trying to sell bids. Their "assistance" is only a means to get you in deep so they can then pressure you to buy more bids. Steer clear!
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY!

That is right, Gail! You-Choose it Auctions means that you can bid on many different items and once the auction is won, you can select the specific item that you wish to purchase.
Here is how it works: If you navigate back to the auction page, you will see a small link towards the top of that page that says "You Choose It: Update Selection." If you click on that link the system will present you with a list of items for you to choose from. Once you decided for the item you desire, the auction page will reflect that choice. At that point, if you click the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the auction page, the system will successfully add that item to your cart.
I hope this helped! You can read more about You-Choose it auctions here:
