This site is amazing... Even though the prices seem unbelievable the math all works out... It's not a scam... It's an amazing site... I only wish that they had more items on the site
I submitted questions regarding voucher bids. I promptly received complete, succinct answers to all questions; satisfying my inquiries.
First of all I was interested to see what this site offered, but I dont want to have to pay upfront just to look. I normally I shop for amazon and offer up deals. Just trying something new. I think I wont be dealing with quidbid for a charge. I am aware if I bid on something I will be charged. 60, but I dont think I should be charged to browse the site...
After the information provided by your company, I determined that it was not a good fit for me. Honesty and open explaining of the process was very helpful in my decision. Good luck with your company and the best to you in the future
Start with gift card and learn the ropes before jumping into the big ticket items. It will make it more rewarding and profitable.
I recently joined Quibids (online penny auction site). I understand the dangerous of penny auctions and how the system works.
So, with a bit of experience, I started winning auctions at Quibids (won 2 auctions using only 8 bids / pennies) quickly.
Very shortly after the wins, my account was suddenly suspended. Upon inquiring, I was told that my computer IP shows I am not based in the USA. Although my shipping address and residence is in the USA (at the time I was working on a contract in Africa), they could not accept the fact that my computer was somewhere else in the world.
So, here is the kicker. Upon signup, one has to purchase bids, which I did. This money they accepted without any problems (although they should have seen by then that my computer IP was indicating Africa).
It is very disturbing to try and figure out why. The only simple answer that comes up time and again is this... I won too quickly and too effectively. They did not like that. And kaboom... no more me.
Again, with my shipping and residence address in the USA, it is very inconsiderate of Quibids to suspend my account because of where I was bidding from.
Unbelievable. Their customer service was horrible and short off, insulting at times.
I do not recommend this site.
I then pushed the envelope and described my exact situation to other penny auction sites (that my computer IP shows Africa, but my residence and shipping address is in the USA). Every single one of them (I approached 5 sites) approved / did not have any problems for me signing up with these conditions.
Quibids do not like winners. Watch out.
Hi Andries. We would never close an account because the user is winning "too quickly and too effectively." We simply do not allow users to bid from a country other than their residence as a way to prevent fraud and to ensure the security of our users. We take account security very seriously here at QuiBids and we have a compliance team that monitors accounts and activity to make sure that everyone is bidding on an equal playing field. Although we cannot speak for other auction sites, we instill controls like this to give our customers a better peace of mind knowing they can bid safely on our site. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I received an email quickly. I feel like I was treated with respect
Hi Tammy. We are glad to hear that you are pleased with your correspondence with our support team. We take great pride in the professionalism of our staff, and we are glad it has shown through in this review. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Have a great day!
Disappointed with bidding but happy with customer service people.
I guess I expected too much... win a big tv or something... LOL
Quibids.com is the best website out there.
There always there to help and fix any issues you may have thow you should not have any problems
Wasnt sure if ill get a response but they replied back in seconds. They really helped me out in my situation and im really greatful for there help
I accidentally purchased some bidding $ thinking I was only registering my credit card and they immediatley refunded my money when I requested it. They didn't have to do that so it was very nice of them.
I was greatly surprised by the speed and efficiency of your customer support team in refunding my bid charges and canceling my account. QuiBids was just not for me personally.
I asked for a refund of my unused bids since I don't really find this type of purchasing to my taste... a little too complex, translating bids to $. 60, also can't quite understand how with voucher bids selected to be used first I still got billed $. 01 on my credit card when I won a bid for vouchers with only 1 bid. I guess I'm just not up to speed for this action. Thanks for the refund minus the 1 bid.
I was concerned that it would be complicated to explain what I needed but the on line chat agent was great!
She was very polite helpful and gave me the best over the phone service I have ever received.
There was an unauthorized purchase made with my card and this company Quibids quickly refunded my card
I called with a problem, I had not received my item won. I was told that it had been reordered and that I would receive it soon and I received it the next day.
Sucked wasted over a 100 dollars with out a thing to show for it
Hello Hunter. I want you to know that we are definitely not a scam. We have lots of happy customers who truly love bidding on our site, just look at the comments on our Facebook page to see what we mean. It's important to keep in mind that you cannot win every auction you participate in. So for those instances when you don't win an auction, we have a nifty feature called "Buy Now" that prevents you from ever having to walk away empty-handed. With the Buy Now feature, when you lose an auction you can apply your spent bids toward purchasing the product at retail. So best case scenario, you win the auction and get a super discount. Worse case scenario, you don't win but can apply your spent bids toward the Buy Now price to get the product at the retail value, just like purchasing from any other retailer.
All of this info and more can be found on the QuiBids 101 and Help sections of our site. We strongly encourage all new users to read through this information before placing a bid.
We understand that some users want to jump in without fully reading the material. So with that said, you can contact us at support@QuiBids.com and we will be happy to offer a full refund for your unused real bids. Also, we can better explain any part of our site that you have questions about.
After winning an auction and receiving an email stateing that my item had shipped I couldn't get any information about the delivery date from my order History page. Upon contacting the help section I was given information that led me to the shipper direct and they answered all my questions.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
QuiBids is a penny auction site.
Hi Cynthia. We are sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with our site. We want to make sure that you're aware that you can always go to www.QuiBids.com to browse auctions without needing an account. However since we operate on a "pay to participate" model, in order to bid you will need to purchase the starter bid package (100 bids for $60). We understand that QuiBids is not for everyone, so if you purchase the bid pack and later decide its not for you, just contact us at support@quibids.com and we will be happy to issue a refund for your unused bids. We apologize for any inconvenience.
