quibids.com is a scam, like many people I sign up and joined to find out it was all an auction scam. I ended up winning 2 pretty cool items for really cheat $$ and they cancelled my membership and they didn't even refund my bid money that I place which cost me $80 plus dollars. I reported this website to my state attorney generals office. People please be aware you are getting involved in a SCAM, learn from my mistake. Don't spend your hard earned money.

This sucks: It's a quick ripoff
May 20, 2015

They have u thinking u paying. 60 then they hit your card with 60.00 it sucks don't do it. The only good thing other than me getting my money back was the customer service she was very nice. Unless u want to give away ur hard earned money for free then I would say cool if this website pops up RUN!

Hi Private P.

We can assure you that all the text and copy on the purchase page tells you exactly what you are paying for. If you are referring to the starter bid pack purchase page, then this payment is $60 for 100 bids (that equals $0.60 per bid). It sounds like that you already received your refund. We're happy to hear that you were pleased with our customer support team and with the refund process. Please know you're free to come back at any time. You can also send us an email at support@quibids.com and we'll be happy to further explain any aspect of our site to help you understand better. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here. Have a wonderful day!

DON't DO IT
December 1, 2010

DON't DO IT. Its sixty cents per bid. Every time you hit the button its bingo for them. Its looks good, sounds easy, but you will go through money worse than a slot machine. I believe that there are 3 or 4 people pulling their money together ( a team) to out bid you. I tried not to get into "bidding wars" but the final result is your going to spend a lot of money. Even when you win, you lose. You still have to pay for what you won, plus shipping. IPAD for $95.00? That 9500 bids x. 60 figure it out. STAY AWAY! Don"t let them lure you in.

Can't cancel or get a support response, just keeps taking your money while the same scam bidders show up at. 01 cents conveniently, we have been watching this site and can not trace the official buyers of most items, there are approx 1200 ppl working on bringing this site down and they still will not respond to a cancellation request, we have photo and video support of this, also quotes from an employee base

"A fool and his money are soon parted". Let's think logically. Say you found an ipad laying on the streets, how much would you sell it for? Probably $300 plus. What then gives you the idea that any one would sell it for $0.08? These bids add so fast it's not even funny. Stick to what you've known all along. If it's too good to be true, well, it ain't true. I don't suppose you're a fool because you took the time to read quibids reviews before investing your hard earned $$$. And if you invested before reading, well, now you have a story for you kids!

After reading a number of other comments, I realized that many first-time patrons of QuiBids experience the exact same set-up: buy the beginning package of bids, start in the beginners bid area, "win" (easily) a package of additional 25 or so bids (at an additional cost of $2.00 for handling), and then maybe, quite by chance, "win" a simple low-ticket item.

After that, it's pure gambling and the average players chances of "winning" anything drop proportionally by the amount of time and money one has to waste.

I would advise anyone who asks me about this site to steer clear and save your cash for a year-end clearance sale at a reputable retailer.

I have been a member for 4 years now and I have found QuiBids to be the best penny auction site on the web by far. They are also the cheapest I have seen with bids costing. 60 compared to most others at. 75. I have actually received about 10 times in winning from what I have spent. Where else can you pay. 10 on the dollar for new and quality items. I had 2 minor issues and they took care of me right away. I find their Customer service personal to be A-1... You must watch, read Quibids 101, go to their facebook page to get a lot of info from other members. If you do these things you can be very successful.

They charges your credit card $60 to start and every bid would cost you $0.60 every hit win or lose. Not a dea! I lost $60 without any merchandise at all. Customer rep, Porsche refuse to cancel account or refund. Save your money and do not trust this site. Not sure about the good reviews where they coming from perhaps their own employees? Hmmm

I am a very frugal shopper. I have been a member of QuiBids for two years. In the last 2 months alone, I have won items with a retail value of $1009. 85 That's the QuiBids retail value, which is often much less than Amazon. My savings during this time frame was an incredible $755.40 Where else could you go to get brand new high quality items in factory sealed packaging with free shipping on every item? No where but QuiBids. Those that complain do not take the time to learn how to effectively participate. But what about the cost of bids, you say? I have received over a thousand free promo bids from QuiBids, through daily contests and sweepstakes on facebook and twitter, and special promotions weekly throughout the year. QuiBids has been a life changer for me and I will be a member for life!

July 30, 2011

Be careful! Its a total scam! Want to get something go to ebay or better yet buy it in store and you gonna save money over buying it on quibids. The clocks are rigged. Who knows who wins this stuff, probably people from quibids. What a BS!

The owner of this company is laughing all the way to the bank. I bought the starter pack and went through those bids so quick with a CHEAP $19.99 product to show for it. Should be a $5.99 value but everything is FAR overpriced and even if YOU win 1 or 2 you will lose overall. Another get rich scam people fall for

I've used Quibids for a couple of months and at first was very pleased, however, this past month I purchased as well as won several auctions but have yet to receive my gift cards. It's been about three weeks now. I have sent several emails asking for updates on my order and have yet to be answered. Quibids also offers an online chat option, which basically keeps telling me to wait while all representatives are busy before I request a chat. I am utterly disappointed and will be cancelling my account with Quibids

Intelligence, patience, and restraint are key when using this site. If you go after big ticket items, you are going to waste $300 before realizing you have nothing to show for it, but in my case, researched how items sold, and at what times, for what price. I bought the $60 bid package of 100 bids. After 1 weeks I am out of bids, but I have $160 worth of home depot gift cards and a $130 pair of Oakley sunglasses. $290 worth of merchandise for $86 (after shipping and processing fees)? I'll take that deal all day long...

Stay away from this site, definitely a SCAM! They make you think you're bidding in 1 cent increments but it's actually costing you $0.60 per bid. And unlike ebay where you know exactly what time each auction will end, quibids keep on going, and going... raking in your money. Believe me, you'll spend $60.00 and end up with nothing but disappointment and regret. There must be a way to shut down this scam site.

I see the small amount these people "paid" for the items and I'm not swayed at all. Why don't they state the amount of money@ $. 60 each bid they paid too in order to win the item? Combining those two amounts would then show how much it REALLY cost them to win the item! Until I see those true dollar amounts, to me personally; Quibids is BS and in no way will I pay $60 for a "beginner" package! That kind of tells you what you are up against right there.

We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. If you purchased bids and did not wish to, we have 100% guarantee refund of any unused purchased bids.
Also, if at any time a bidder reaches the purchase price of an item, we stop that user from bidding and recommend using the Buy Now option. The Buy Now feature offers you the chance to purchase any product at any time during the auction and for up to 2 hours after the auction ends. By utilizing the Buy Now feature, an investment of real bids never has to go to waste. Any ‘real’ bids you place in an auction will be discounted off of the Value Price. Please note: Voucher Bids have no monetary value, therefore do not apply towards the value price when utilizing the Buy Now feature.
I hope this helps provide some clarification! You can find more information regarding the Buy Now here: http://blog.quibids.com/how-to-use-buy-now-to-your-advantage/

QuiBids is a legitimate business with an A rating with the BBB. You can read more about that here:

I 'won' a gift card 4 MONTHS ago and still haven't received it. I've contacted customer service by email (they don't give out a phone number-bad sign right there) at least half a dozen times and they've given me several excuses. The best being that I moved before it arrived and it was my fault that I didn't receive the product. I've lived in the same house for 12 years.

Wow, after reading all of these posts I am very glad I decided to check the reviews about Quibids before I gave them my cc number or bought any bid packages. Thanks to all who have posted in either a -/+ way. It looked like a fun new way to get somethings a little cheaper. Alas if it looks too good to be true it probably is

In my opinion this website is a scam. Bids are not recorded accurately and customer service blames the bidders internet connection. You will purchase additional bids only to lose them. Stay away. If it seems too good to be true it is. What a mistake.

For all those who feel that Quibids is a scam, I beg to differ. I've just received my 32 G Ipad from Fedex today and I 'm very satisfied with all my winnings. It cost less than $200 for the $599 Ipad (retail see Apple). It took 39 bids and $153 for the win and $15-$20 for shipping. Nevertheless, bidder beware. If you don't sit in front of the screen all day long and bid at the last second, you can find yourself wasting time and money. You'd be better off getting a job and paying retail than spend wasted hours and bids in front of the computer screen. And remember, like in Vegas... the house always wins. But the game is legit, I've gotten my winnings and the customer service was spot on. So, for all those who feel they have been bamboozled, this game isn't a scam and it isn't for everyone. Good luck and I really mean good LUCK!
