I was charged the $60.00 start up fee twice, much to my surprise. I submitted my concern electronically on the website, and within hours, there was a refund to my account. This is really exceptional service. Thank you.
They lure you in with easy-to-win beginner bids. Once you do that you are a seasoned bidder I guess... $15 Walmart gift card for $60.00. What a bargain! If you like to gamble, this is the site for you. If you like to gamble and win... well, nobody gambles and wins. I find throwing money into a slot machine much more satisfying. With a slot machine, there is no false hope of actually getting something for a low price. And slot machines aren't gambling in disguise - they put it right out there. At least with a slot machine I know I probably won't come out ahead. But I actually think my odds may be better.
Whenever I have a question and send a message to you, someone always gets back to me very quick! Just like it says! "QUICK Bids" They are very good about explaining what the answer is to your question. I love it!
The Customer Service email support was timely, friendly, accommodating and professional, and promised to make an immediate refund of the $60.00 that had been charged to my credit card due to my not understanding the sign up protocols for new members. As of this writing, I am waiting for this credit to show on my credit card account.
I ordered something that did not fit at all. I contracted customer service and asking to return the item and exchange it for something else. Unfortunately no exchange could be done but they did send me a prepaid return label for UPS. They refunded my bid cost within a couple days and refunded all the bids used to win the item. I appreciate how quick and convenient they made it for me. I didn't even have to stand in line at the post office I just stuck the label on the package and dropped it in the UPS drop box by my work.
My grandson enrolled in quibids.com and lost money before I even knew what was going on. Yes, I should have been more diligent in watching his activity, but was not aware he had completed the enrollment. In any case, he spent all but $13.00 of the $60.00 enrollment fee. Upon realizing what was going on, I called Quibids and was told I could not get this money back, but would get the $13.00. I have called my bank and reported this and see that Quibids has returned $7.00 to my Visa account. What a ripoff! It is scary how a supposedly legitimate business can operate in this fashion. DO NOT BUY INTO THIS!
This is a shameless scamming company. Even the banner ad is totally misleading. It claimed a Toshiba HDTV is sold for a bid of $57.38 with a "retail value" of USA $1349. The reality is their so called $57.38 (in their currency) is actually equal to USA $3442. 8 PLUS shipping! I cannot even imagine how much people are ripped off with less "good" deals!
Argh, Quibids why have you done this to me. I'm going to admit it was my own fault for not having read these reviews first. But still, Quibids is not a company that makes the world a better place. It's a company that gets people to do stupid things, and makes money off of that.
When I caught on how to win, I kept being blocked from participating. So when you are winning you are LIMITED to 12 items in any 28 day period. At which time you are blocked for 8 days. Suddenly I'm being blocked repeatedly anywhere between 16 hours to 3 days. I had 4 open auctions going when I got blocked. So I lost at least $70 in active bids. When I write CS I get a canned response. Days later I cancel my account, they tell me I've got my refund. Guess who doesn't have a refund?
I asked to get out of the program within an hour after I signed up, but I haven't gotten a response. It says 100% money back and I didn't realize that you just took our money even though we weren't bidding on anything. I want out and my money back under your guarantee. Thank you-
I personally love the site, you just can't be stupid with your bids. I started by by bidding on gift cards that came with free bids on top of that. A $25 Walmart gift card with 20 extra bids for $0.03 is simply a steal. Sure it took me 10-15 bids to understand what to look for and go after. The simple secrets to the site is start small and just figure you will never ever get an ipad for $15 so its pointless to bid on it. Also don't bid on things that have a lot of people bidding on it because you will lose. BE RESPONSIBLE and you will love it!
I felt "sucked in" to buying a bid pack upon registration, not knowing how the site ACTUALLY worked. Even with that, I tried bidding several times. It just wasn't for me. When I contacted Customer Support, they were very communicative and assisted me with getting out. I was impressed with how quickly they did that. If I ever find myself with more time to dedicate to something like this, I would definitely choose to come back to QuiBids. No hassle getting out of it impressed me.
I used this site for about a month and did win a handful of items; your best bet is to bid on walmart gift cards and then try to get them cheap/worse case is you pay full price for them.
Now on the flip side. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! And I have had multiple tech issues that they refused to assist in or make right. I hit the buy now option on a gift card(I only owed $6.80) but never received it. I contacted support and was told it was being processed and would receive it soon... never got it. Contacted them a second time and they said I never ordered it and was told they would go ahead and open it back up for me... they NEVER did. Contacted them a third time and they said they couldn't do anything for me. I had spent well over $200-300 and they opted to lose me as a customer over $6.80.
I don't recommend this site to anyone!
DO NOT DO NOT DO IT. Just finished checking my first time on and bidding. I calculated I spent $104 buying bids. Could not sleep all night thinking how foolish and what that money could have bought. Checked my bank online, they took out 3 times the amount. I tried using the friendly online chat my computer shut down, ran so slow. Rebooted twice. Now I am suggesting to you not to use. I will have to call my bank to see if I can recover some of my funds. What I lost was my fault but there is no explanation for the rest. CAREFUL folks.
This is a scam i monitored the bids from different machines, and i can see the robots bidding in different auctions at the same time. The rules clearly says one auction at a time but hell no, try it your self open two machines and watch the bids, you will see and identify the robots.
I spent already 50 USD on nothing, its a big scam
Talking to Chris was great. He made it so easy.
Now I am a seventy two year old person. And I need more help. I have received several emails stating I have earned badges or something like that and I hav no idea what to do. If it's possible I would just like to put them in a bank and hang on to them. If you respond to this, then please explain as if explaing to a five year old. Thank you.
I've played for almost a week now. And obviously it is pretty darn exciting seeing the auction count down, three, two, one, and when you see "Auction Ended" when it says that you get real excited and, sometimes, start dancing around the room! HAHA
However, there's also the bad days, like today. When I just keep bidding and bidding and the other bidder won't give up! So I ended up losing a bunch of bids today and didn't win anything but more bids that I ended up losing.
So Quibids.com has its ups and downs, but overall... I would say it's a great experience!
I joined Quibids without realizing my credit card information was to collect $60 to join. I am disabled and live on a very small fixed income. And Steven responded quickly and refunded my money. This is what I wrote to him:
Thank you so much Steven for replying so quickly to my request and for your gracious offer to refund my money. I think Quibids is a model company and if I ever the opportunity to use your services, I would not hesitate!
Bidding was made easy... when you sign up you have to give them your credit card number and immediately they charge tour credit card 60 bucks to bod 100 times... that was kind of confusing because I didn't know that as soon as I entered my card number that I would be charged...
Bait and Switch... So, I love how they tell you that you can get a Ford mustang for $45, but not that you pay $45 for your winning bid + the 20,000 bids which cost 60 cents each. You CAN get a deal on this website, but its impossible to know how much you will have to spend on an item since you pay for every bids and there can easily be hundreds and thousands of bids per item. In the end you can end up paying more for the item due to the bid system. Not worth the risk.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
