I bid on an item. Won it and it was broken when arrived. I emailed my my ticket to them, mentions the problem, had all item info and have never heard from them. Now I am out of $8. Bucks plus when I won I tried again only not to win our have enough after $60 to buy it now item. I only wish to return the item for a new one but the site said not to send it back to sender? Well. Live and learn. Rip off
They constantly oversell items and when the wrong product is shipped they expect you to pay to return it. I have been a good customer for a few months but am sick of the customer service when there is a problem and they seem to have many. They are quick to sell bids but do nothing to resolve any problems or issues. Too many issues to list here. They now have several "voucher bidders" that stock up on thousand of free bids and then take over. It used to be fun and entertaining but now is a joke. Avoid QuiBids and just shop with Amazon. Save your money and frustrations.
If you can find something worthwhile that you need, it can help. I recently purchased an Odessy putter for 11.24 with shipping, retail over 110.00. Ebay buy it now at 79.00 plus shipping. If you find the item, look at recent history, understand that the price will also go to around the same point. Example is a IPad, retail price 699.00, bids are going up to 280.00+. Do not bid until the price is close to that mark, yes a gamble, you might miss the window and the auction closes, but you are not wasting. 60 each time you bid.
The site makes. 60 per bid. If the Ipad goes for 280.00+ that is 28,000 bids at. 60 each, a total of $*******. 00 per item, a total of 2400% profit! Understand what the price is, look to bid at the top, do not get in a bidding war, you will LOSE BIG.
It's my first time on the site and I find it quite easy to use with no complications whatsoever especially with a new user, when you go through the help centre on the site, you will find everything you need on there.
Well not a good thing that it's not available in my country yet.
There really were not that many products that I first of all really want.
--Closest thing would be buy some gift cards. Else, not really. Secondly- and maybe i misunderstand the process, the idea of having to pay $12 for $10 gift card seems silly... I think I understand that I pay for the bid wether I win or loose. So I bid $5 for a $10.- gift card. Someone else bids $6.- I need to bid $7.- to not just loose $5?
The other guy needs to do the same- and now we see who is willing to go the most over the value to not loose. I dont think this is a good program for me. So glad you send my money back. It seems plenty of other people are very happy. So. Its probably just me..
I joined, but after nearly a year, I was not able to take advantage of my membership. I called to ask if a refund was possible, & in a matter of seconds, Alicia refunded my initial fee. It was immediately posted to my account, & the issue was resolved. Fast, courteous customer service, very pleased!
If you change I will join. On where it says the way you pay you do not say you have to use your card first that's why when I saw PayPal I was going to join. I was burned on line and lost my money never again, I will stay with eBay and gumtree. Thanks.
After joining with qbids, I asked for my refund since I didn't buy any thing, well sure enough, I had a very fast respond to my email, and full refund was applied to my account, and for that you have my respect. I will talk about this to my friends, once again thanks a lot.
It is legitimate, but the odds of you winning a bidding contest are small. You have to buy more bids, and then more bid, and that is how they make there money. So if you get lucky enough to win, that is good. If not, you have spent a lot of money to get nothing.
Think of it as a lottery more than an auction.
Can not understand how stupid some people can be. When you sign up for these sites, you should read the t&c, they are clear and there is full info on how they work. If you can not be bothered to read it, do not be surprised when money has been taken from your bank... with your consent (had you read the t&c`s). All your moans could have been avoided it you had just taken time to read what you singed up for, clicked on what you did and did not want eg: automatic top up.
I have read the reviews about most of these sites, they are not for me as I am not prepared to take a gamble by paying for bidding, but as for letting me know what I would have been in for, all the sites have made it VERY clear how they work.
BEWARE! They disguise the log-in procedure so you do not know you have to buy bids in order to participate. Suddenly you have agreed to purchase 100 bids. It's too late now. As I have watched the bidding it seems rigged. Things I do not bid on sell for let's say $15.00. When I bid they sell for $50.00, right after I stop bidding! BOGUS!
Did not like the way you take the 1st purchase automatically from my credit card, there was no confirmation option of purchase. I was not prepared to spend $72 for 1st venture to you site. If given option I would have cancelled out purchase if possible. But will not rule out that I would sign up again if smaller outlay was an option. Maybe later.
I received an email stating that I click a link in the email to receive 5 free bids. The email link did not work. I emailed customer service and within the hour they answered me back and credited my account with the 5 free bids. This was exceptional in my book! Usually you wait for days to hear back from some sites and sometimes you don't hear back at all. This was handled quickly and was done correctly. Thanks QuiBids Customer Service!
I did not know that when I signed up that $60 would be deducted from my account right then & there. When I went to customer support to get my money back, the lady did it was we were chatting. - Wonderful Customer Service
The frustrating thing is the way the auction ends. There can be 10 active bidders bidding like crazy. And then it stops and the item is sold. Right in the middle of active bidding. It makes the process seem random. Not like a conscious bidding war in which the back and forth keeps going on until there is no higher bid. It stops so suddenly it is hard to know why and what happened. Maybe the timer goes to zero bids because the 10 bidders all pause at the same time. Who knows. But it stops on a dime. Yours.
Stay away from this site! I registered, bought my vochers, made a few bids (didn't win) and logged off. Now when I try to log on it says "Username not recognized". I've emailed quibids 4 times now and they just keep resetting my password. So, I can't log on and they have my $60.00.
I hit the wrong button and didn't realize it until I saw an email on it!
Wrote for a refund and Tammie took care of it immediately.
Now once I see that refund on my cc statement-I will be delighted!
Word to the wise-read the rules before you get caught up in the bidding!
I have been on QuiBids for a little over a year. Sometimes I do real well and sometimes not. Of late I apparently have done too well. They have severely limited the auctions that I can participate in, made bid busters available to me about every 6-7 hours and when I can bid on them, they are only singles and never a double. I currently can only bid on cheap stuff that is worth maybe 1/4 of the listed price, gift cards that I suddenly can not win and of course all of the voucher bids that I want. Voucher bids can be the biggest waste of money on the site. I did send a complaint to them about being so severely limited and they admitted that they had done this and that if was for the benefit of other bidders, so they would have the opportunity to win major items. In other words, if you get too good or too lucky, they will basically kick you out.
My first winning bid was delivered promptly however was the wrong item. Anytime a new system or product is a failure from the start for me, I get out or get rid of it.
I contacted customer service regarding getting the correct item. I also expressed my desire to cancel my account with refund of my existing balance.
Customer service was prompt and cancelled account, is refunding money, and will work to get my correct item. So far, so good.
The poor seller cost QuiBids a customer.
I was registering and it asked for credit card number, I thought it might be to keep on record for future orders. I received a conformation email for a $60. Order. I paniced & was upset. I explained what happened & I have no money in my bank account. Customer service refunded me. I am so grateful! Thank You!
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
