I joined this in a moment of forgetting, "If it sounds too good to be true...". First I was shocked to see that the instant I signed up I was charged $60. I thought I'd be given a choice. Then I tried to recoup my losses by bidding and hoping to win. It was only much later when I learned you could get a refund. Then I quickly noticed that the "bid-o-matics" won all the big-ticket items because they had deep pockets and intend to re-sell the stuff for profit. I thought I finally was winning a laptop when I hit "bid" at the 1-second mark, only to have an auto bid click AND CLOSE THE BID at less than a second. What a scam! I "won" a couple of trinkets but am still kicking myself for being so stupid. There should not be any auto bidding allowed.

Sorry to hear this has been your impression of QuiBids, Paula.
While using the Bid-O-Matic does not guarantee a win, the Bid-O-Matic feature is a helpful tool that can bid for you while you take a short break. You can set the Bid-O-Matic to place between 3 to 25 bids at a time. As long as you have bids remaining, the Bid-O-Matic will bid in order to keep you as the highest bidder in the current auction. If you run out of bids in your current Bid-O-Matic, you can re-load the Bid-O-Matic with up to 25 more bids or continue placing single bids.
For more details, check out this link: http://blog.quibids.com/the-bid-o-matic-explained/

Please feel free to email us at support@quibids.com or call 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) or 405-253-2038 anytime Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM CST and we will be happy to further assist you!

Does anyone understand how much money this site is making off of gullible people thinking they are getting a "bargain"... well it is thousands of percent over the retail, let alone what they actually pay for the product. Please people stop this insanity, it is unbelievable, don't fall for this racket.

Wish I had read this site before we got bamboozled out of $60. Oh well... what a brilliant scam. Wish I had thought of it. No, wait... I would NEVER have allowed myself to rip off people like this.

Good luck, and to other people like me, I feel your pain.

I thought it was an "auction" site but its disguised for gambling and to scam someone. You have to purchase bids 1 bid=. 60 cents and then you pick an item and start bidding on it. When you do, it doesn't mean your going to win it and your bids are gone to. (100 bids= $60.00) Here's an example. A tablet might show its at the price of $12.64 but if you bid on it 100 times that's actually 60.00 you paid for it with bids and there "gone" you don't get them back nor the tablet your bidding on if you don't "win" it
I got taken so stay away!
This is NOT a real auction and shouldn't be called/referred to as one.

Awesome/Horrible
January 30, 2016

It is the most thrilling rush. Bidding is so unpredictable. Some of these people are psychopaths that will bid relentlessly. Other times you can win with one or two bids. From the initial $60, I wasted most of my bids losing bidding wars but I did win 2 items (a Thomas Kinkade print and a skirt) and then 2 more (underwear and a bracelet) from voucher bids collected in the process. Combined price for 4 items: $0.18! So... $60.18. The only problem is that now I am convinced that I can win that high dollar auction with the right timing, enough $$ and the courage to keep bidding. You never know.

My Lucky Day
August 27, 2015

I had a choose it item that I was unable to link with to purchase it. I called phone support and they were "out of the office" even though it was before closing time. I contacted via chat support. My item was sold out, but the chat support staff member offered me a game play as a consolation. I was thankful since they are usually in high demand. I "only" won 21 bids, but was able to turn them into 2 gift card wins, totaling 25.00 and 40 voucher bids during a busy bidding time! Chat support was great and lucky for me today! I quibids!

Don't do business with this place, they took $63.00 of my card and when I called to close my account, the man hung up on me, I called back and after about 15 minutes on hold the same guy answered and all he wanted to do is talk down to me, but he said he had put the money back on my card and he had finally closed the account, that's what I wanted to start with.

I think that any site that charges you simply to register smacks of a scam. As soon as I realized my credit card had already been charged for a batch of bids I never asked for, I unregistered. If I don't get a refund on my card, I will know for certain the site is truly a scam. Everything about it feels like scam. Its tempting you in with "too good to be true" chances at buying something for next to nothing. But in the end, you will have spent a lot of money to end up losing an auction.

I watched the bids on the site for a couple weeks. Mostly gift cards to various stores of $25 was going for. 30 cents to 1.50... As soon as I tried it, bids jumped to like $5. The ones I didn't bid on... 30 cents. Sounds like bots bidding against things people bidding on to jump up prices.
I tried bidding on a couple other things... same thing.

Not what it used to be...
June 23, 2015

I have been a member for 5 years and have won a lot of amazing products at incredibly low prices. Unfortunately, the site is now swarming with colluders and software users, making it nearly impossible to get good deals. Just yesterday, I ended up BINning a product precisely for these reasons--first I became the target of colluders, and then a software user jumped in. If QuiBids doesn't do something to clean up the site, I will most likely quit bidding. To make matters worse, the "value price" of most products is so inflated that deciding to BIN is hardly ever a viable choice.

No one here seems to understand that the site is intended for a CHANCE at a discount. You are very fairly warned when you are exceeding the amount of retail price and if you can not do the math to figure that out, then you should probably be spending your money else where. It is very simple bid on items you can afford at retail price and you won't be disappointed. Yes the site is making money off the $#*!s who are not educated enough to examine what they are doing before they do it, but who shouldn't. This site is an altered design of other auction sites and every single person who hates on them should shut their mouth because there is no way you would ever turn down this kind of idea if it belonged to yourself.

QuiBids is what it claims to be... an online auction. And an auction it is in the truest sense. Continued bidding extends the length of the auction just like live auctions. I think that fact that Ebay has dominated the space we're all used to that type of format which is technically not like an auction by traditional definition.

I was skeptical to say the least but after about one month of actively using the site I can say with complete confidence that many of the deals are legit. I myself have one a Sony PSP 3000 ($200) for $12, a TaylorMade Driver ($399) for $24, and a number of smaller items. HOWEVER, I do question whether BOTS have been employed by someone. I have seen buyers bid on items to the point where the final sale price+cost of bids exceeded the "Value" or retail price.

I would caution would be users to be on the lookout for those. You can sometimes spot them- relentless bidding with little strategy visible.

I bought the beginner package and won a about 3 bidding vouchers a 10 a 15 and a 100 bid one i won them really cheap too. The most i spent was 1.30 and that was for the 100 bidding voucher after that i lost some bids but then won the new touch screen ipod nano for 3.40 and shipping brought it up to 14 and some change i think its a pretty good site i agree with most of the comments but then again u have to factor in the people who don't do the math and just want to win something at a cheap price and end up bidding more than they should i admit im one of those people who continually hits the bid button but thats what discourages people to bid against me

The site tells you that once you have bid up to the price of the item, you can not bid any longer but can buy now. Using this reasoning on at least three occasions, I watched a site until the bidding was down to two or three bidders. Knowing that these bidders were getting close to their bid limit, I entered the bidding but found that the bidding kept going against one last bidder who should have long ago bid out. I think the site has an employee bidding against you with no bid limit. What a rip off.

Awsome Custoner Service
January 28, 2016

I was checking out QuiBids and didn't realize I had bought bids, which cost me 60.00. I contacted Customer Service as soon as I got the confirmation in my email.
They put the money right back in my account. I was so very happy with their quick response.

Basically it's a gambling website. People trying to get something for nothing. If they offer something you really want, it might be worth buying a bunch of bids and trying to get it. But again how much is your time worth? There's a lot of bidding and those 60 cent bids disappear fast.

Problems With Games Fixed Right Away
June 2, 2015

I was experiencing problems completing a game. I emailed, received a quick response and the problem was fixed right away. This is amazing considering
My experience with other sites was far from "A quick response" and took a long time to correct.
This is just one of the many reasons I like QuiBids.

You can get advice from family, friends and strangers, but the best advice comes from your heart; it never lies; trust it. There may be many people that are trustworthy, but only a few are worth trusting with your heart; choose wisely. To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.

Great service!
July 25, 2015

Did not realize there was a fee involved to bid on items... so once that charge came thru I wanted to not be involved in this type of business. Asked to have my charge removed and it was did within 24 hours.

Very appreciative of the quick response and resolution of the issue.

Accurate advertising where?
April 16, 2015

I should start with QuiBids is a great idea, and definitely from a financial standpoint it could be quite popular. However, the advertising that QuiBids is doing is quite inaccurate. When I decide to join something that offers me the chance of brand name goods - then I want BRAND NAME goods. Another issue that I found horrible when you join you're automatically charged. I didn't notice anywhere that I'd be charged simply to join. I know that a lot of places are doing that since it's been successful for other businesses. I'm already going to be shopping with you, but you're charging me just to see what you're selling. Actually stock Apple products - then come back to me, and I'll gladly sign up.

Hi James. We are sorry to hear that this is the impression you've had with us. Please know that we do offer all sorts of brand named items. For example, you can find our Apple category in the QuiBids Store here: http://quibids.com/en/browse-2352-electronics/?brand=2

When viewing items in the QuiBids Store, you can see which ones are currently appearing in auctions. Just find the item you want to bid on, click on it to go to its product page, then select the upcoming auctions to add to your watchlist. You can also buy directly from the QuiBids Store and get free bids with your purchase.

Also keep in mind that if an item you are looking for is not currently showing up in auctions, come back and check again later.

We are also sorry to hear that you weren't aware of the starter bid pack purchase when you were entering your credit card info. On the card entry screen, it states that you are entering your info for the Starter Bid Pack (100 bids for $60 - $0.60 per bid). This purchase is not required to view auctions. You don't even need an account to see what is currently up for auction.

With that said, we are more than happy to assist with a refund for your unused bids. Just reach out to us at support@QuiBids.com and we'll take care of you.

Overview

QuiBids has a rating of 3.3 stars from 3,064 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with QuiBids most frequently mention customer service, credit card and gift cards. QuiBids ranks 2nd among Penny Auction sites.
