Yea, the site is most likely a scam. Remember, anything sounds too good to be true most likely is.
But I give this site an extra star because of its most interesting chat representative, Kelly. Now Kelly and I had some long chats, but she is very elusive. But I found out that she is 24, her birthday is January 14th, is from the "LA area," and has a boyfriend. However, when I asked if they engaged in carnal relations, she replied "That is inappropriate." Most intriguing indeed.
I signed up for Quibids thinking it was free - I would have been ok with the. 60 charge per bid but didnt realize I was purchasing a bid package at 60.00. I sent in an email asking that the charge be reversed and it was taken care of that same day. I cannot remember I had such a great experience with no questions asked just giving me what I asked for! I have already told people about the greatness of the customer service I received and will continue to.
Thank you,
Julie
I was looking at QuiBids and thought to register, it looks like a great site. I was doing this at lunch at work, but during the process I received a phone call so wasn't really paying attention and accidentally signed up for a bunch of bids. When I realized this I sent a note in response to my order confirmation that it was a mistake, my account was credited back immediately. Impressed with the professional treatment and timely response. I will be visiting this site again. When I am not going to be interrupted by the phone. :)
I did not understand that I would have to pay $60.00 for an initial try at the bidding
Process with a 100 bid package. I was given an immediate credit when I expressed my surprise. I wanted to dip my toe into the process and did not expect the cost. I am still thinking about getting started; but the customer service was great.
My husband mistakenly put my credit card in thinking he was buying the product for the price listed as opposed to bidding. I immediately contacted customer service and within 4 days (and this was over Thanksgiving holiday) my credit card was refunded of any unused amount.
Quibids is a great site, and definatly not a scam, which many people like to say! I will say, that as more people join, it is getting harder to win. I've won around 50-75 products on this site, and they all arrive to my doorstep quickly. Support is also great! They are helpful and nice and always make things right if there is a problem. Plus, shipping is always free (except for gift cards) which makes saving even better!
Didn't realize when I put in my credit card there was an automatic $60 charge and to be honest items seemed great but confusing to me. I asked to cancel my membership and they did and refunded me immediately. Very impressed. Thank you!
It was nice to talk to people who were prepared to resolve the problem without having to answer 50 questions before getting any result. I contacted them, she fixed the problem and I said thank you.
By the way you do not allow my email address domain to get bids so it does me no good to try and earn bids through my email address.
Should be zero stars. Just stay away from this gambling site. The only long-term winner is the owners of the site just like a casino. I imagine people get addicted to this type of gambling as well because there is no other explanation for its popularity.
I am a new member and made a mistake with the amount of bids I purchased. When I contacted customer service I was refunded instantly! No waiting, no calling back just 100% customer service. Excellent work! It gave me confidence in their products.
Really like Quibids - especially lightning auctions. The only trouble is so many bidders its hard to find good wins anymore. There are never any "sales" for bids and voucher bids do not count towards BIN.
Games are a fun way to win bids - they are difficult to win and if you bid more then the item costs and do not win you cannot buy the gameplay.
I was unaware Quibids would charge my card when I started an account. I was furious and that it was a scam. Ready to take action with my bank and dispute the claim I called the Customer Service and to my surprise they were understanding and offered me my money back within 5 business days. They are legit and understand that not all people will know how they do business. I now have no qualms and realize it is not a scam but a legit business. Thank you Quibids for the help!
I am wondering if any people won 2 times or more. If not, the auction is cheating. All the bidders are not real besides you. I spend 40 bucks and 2 hours but just won a flush driver valued less than 10 in the begining easily nothing after that.
It's a scam. I logged on using a "free" intro bid pack (25 bids) and it charged my credit card $48! For 80 bids! I'm just finding this out now after going through my SPAM folder in my email. I won two bid packs, used them to win a $10 gift certificate. Whoopie. I never actually SAW the 80 bids listed anywhere, and in the quibids account, the charge does not show up anywhere as a "purchase" of bids... it's really slimy. PLUS, they are making money hand over fist for what they are offering.
Unless you have a gambling addiction (or you want one!) don't bother with this site. Winning is difficult, and you pay. 60 for each bid. NOT. 02 or. 01 like they are listed... no, you are paying 60 cents per click for something that you may not get and they will get ten times what the thing is worth once the bidding is over- which, apparently can go on for as long as people are bidding.
DON'T BOTHER LOOSING YOUR MONEY HERE! THAT IS ALL YOU WILL DO!
I think the site is a total rip off! Total waste of money & time! I DON'T RECOMMEND IT@ ALL! I wished I could have thought of reviewing the site 1st & see what was happening before wasting my money! I could have saved a lot of money! Darn It! Grrrrr! Why is channel 9 news advertising something soO bad?!?! (They're thought) "It's like taking candy from a baby!" Given that we're now having though times & want to get bargains with everything & everywhere... So, they take advantage! It's soO upsetting!
A waste of money and TIME! Try to bid on any item of interest. You don't have the time or enough money to last long enough. At a Penney a bid(for most auctions), an item of value could last for days and once you have bid, there is no way to win unless you happen upon the max amount anyone would bid. And, they make of you, 60 cents a bid. Would be much fairer to charge a penny a bid as what is used. They could allow for someone to up the bid as in an actual auction. This would speed up the auctions, but why do it this way, when they get the 60 cents per bid, so what's the rush? Let the fools (I'm one!) bid and get nothing, other than low cost items. In conclusion, stay away from QuiBids unless you like throwing good money away. Try the Casinos as your odds of winning is better.
As I had gone to the website to investigate, I thought it would turn out to have more negative consequences, versus positive ones. Therefore, I had decided to exit out of the tab. A few seconds after I had done so, they forcibly RE-OPENED the tab, with a pop-up (I have anti virus software, with pop-up blocker, but apparently this was inevitable) informing me that a "live operator" would like to 'discuss' with me about reconsidering and sign up for a membership... They even offered me 100 free bids, all the while making it seem realistic. I decided, "why not" Let's talk to the... But apparently, there was "an issue with" my software, and all that remained was to talk to some disgruntled automatic response system...
There is something very fishy about the site... >.> Use with caution.
This quibids site is nothing but a SCAM! Beware, stay away, do not think you will get the deals they advertise. It's ambiguous, sneaky, and should be prosecuted by the States Attorney General! They are stealing people's money.
They won't use PayPal as it won't allow their shenanigans.
I'm an old timer and an eBay user. EBay is Honest, quibids is not honest!
STAY AWAY!
Everything I needed to know about this site is told by the clustering of positive reviews at the beginning of August, all of them clearly and carefully written with a lot of factual detail, contrasting a long and continuous stream of negative reviews, not always clear, perhaps hastily written or emotional. A company that pays people to pad a review site, maybe a company that shills its own auctions? I'll never find out. Thanks to all who contributed.
Hey Gordon! Sorry that you see it that way. The reason there are a group of positive reviews is that we growing community of people who love QuiBids and participate in our Facebook community. You can check it here https://www.facebook.com/quibids and see for yourself that all these reviewers are legitimate QuiBids customers. QuiBids feels it is unethical to pay or compensate anyone for positive reviews. Anything that is posted on this site is the genuine experience of a customer good or bad. We try to do a lot to educate any potential QuiBids customer on how the site works. For this reason, we provide a thorough help section and QuiBids 101 tutorial that is available to anyone prior to purchasing or placing bids in auction. We have also been independently audited of all internal controls to assure our customers that we do not use shill, bot or company bidders. This practice is unethical and prohibited by our terms of service.
I tried bidding and came very close to winning, however, I ended up purchasing my mixer through quibid at a discount I was ok with. I was bidding on this item a long time which is the process if you want to win, but I don't have that kind of time so I will most likely not bid again... not sure.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.

Kyle, online gambling is illegal and QuiBids does not partake in this kind of activity. Gambling implies the uncontrollable element of chance, and because every auction on QuiBids is customer-driven, there is no act of randomness.
QuiBids hosts a Buy Now feature on every auction. This assures that no user, having participated in a particular auction, will ever have to walk away without either winning the auctioned item or purchasing it at the listed price.
QuiBids is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has recently passed an independent third-party audit of our integrity and internal controls. Http :// www.quibids. Com/static/productimages/files/QuiBids_Grant%20Thornton-FINAL%20Report_2011. Pdf
