After reading and trying this "scam" of a site, it is clear that you are lured in quickly in to buying a "bid package," the rest does not matter you already spent your money on the site. Even if you do it once multiply over the million that do it once...
It seems that everyone wins in the beginning some gift certificate, but I have yet to hear from someone who keep on winning.
This site is a scam
Thanks to all the negative reviews, it saved me from making a mistake and paying $60 flat for 100 bids (. 60 each)
It seemed like a scam when I read and decidedly paused my acceptance until searching the web for reviews. Thank you all for saving me from this company.
They obviously are scouting the forums and review sites with their customer service people trying to dissuade others from believing the one star reviews. Trying to put out fires fast, I would imagine because it has to be an incredibly profitable enterprise...
Here is their (Must be bought and paid for) BBB Report

I don't see how I am losing! I signed up, they gave me 100 free bids, I've bid and won on a $100 Lowes gift card (winning bid was $. 37) and a $15 Walmart gift card (winning bid was $. 24). Both came with additional bids attached. My bid total I have now is 122. I haven't bought any bids and I'm up about $110 bucks after you take away the $. 61 plus the $4 processing fees.
What am I missing?!
I did not realize what this site was all about in regards to how you played and the expense to you. If I had won something worth while it might have been ok but all I won was more bid points to keep losing money on this site. They promote bidding wars by putting more time on after each bid so the bidding wars keep going... EBAY is so much better and cheaper to play on. If you are smart you will stay away from this site. It is mean. It cost me $70.00 to try and win something on this site. It cost you more to play than if you had actually won something... because items usually do go for good prices but as I said... poor sucker me... cost me $70.00 for nothing only two sets of more bid points which I had to pay for on top of the 67.00 i paid for in the beginning and I did not realize I was going to be charged this amount of money... worst site I ever been on... be warned...
I signed up with this site after hearing about all the good deals and since Christmas is near figured why not save on gifts. After the initial sign up formalities they wanted me to buy a starter package for $60 plus tax, on my credit card. That made me weary so I did some research and quickly discovered that a lot of truths about actual costs to win bids are not accurate. So I immediately deactivated my account and intend to stay away from this site, you should too, save your time, your money, and sleep better.
Total scam never realized the immediate debit of $60.00 would happen. Yes the fine print explains it, however the structure of joining is very deceptive and is carefully worded in their favor. If any litigators are reading this you better act fast since I am sure a Class Action suit is in the works. This website will cease to exist within two years. I tried to cancel the $60.00 scam charge within 10 minutes to no avail. These guys are very slick and know exactly what they are doing. Beware.
Called to ask if I could get a refund due to an accidental hit of the site to buy bids. The gentleman that answered the phone said no problem he could fix the problem one two three. I couldn't thank him enough. He was wonderful. Polite, sweet and made me feel like a VIP. I'm more than pleased with QuiBids!
The decieve you steal your money tricked me into a 60.00 charge on my credit card for nothing, asked to explain nothing no money back what a scam stealing from people I am on disability cant afford hits like that shame on this company 0 stars
Hi Gia. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is we can offer a full refund for your unused bids. Just send us an email at support@quibids.com and we'll be happy to assist you.
It seems they out bid each time and they are gettings 20 times of what the item is worth, They got me for 48.00 but I won a 25.00 gift card it seems this is not a real auction@ 1 cent bids they auction off things worth a few hundred dollars nd getting thousands in some cases, it's legal but they will be short lived with all the bad comments? Is anyone checking them for storing your credit card information? We are all guilty of being dumb.
RIGHT, something for nothing, free lunch, if it sounds too good to be true it ISNT?
You people are fools. Grow up. Anyone who thinks this site is legit, I am auctioning the moon, but you can buy it now for 29.99 and I will throw in a t-bagging for free. Statistical analysis, R-factor, what a douche. Lol
I decided after a opened an account that I would rather not use Quibids to bid on items. Customer service was quick and courteous and refunded my money. I appreciate them resolving my issue so quickly. Would make me think about using them in the future if I decide to bid on product.
My experience ended on a good note. I only wanted to view the site to see if it was any different than another site which is partnered with the site, but I did not intend to be charge before I was really ready to order or place a bid. I contacted the support and they were sensitive to my concerns and proved that customers are important the the company.
Quibids is the most fun and exciting site to be able to experience. If you can practice patience spending your bids and really take some time to learn a little strategy, you will have no problem winning some great stuff. The support team is really committed to making sure the players stay happy and the game stays fair.
The rep that handled my email request seemed very thorough and said he did everything I asked. Just awaiting my credit and all will be great. Provided it all goes according to plan, I'm very impressed with this rep. Great job.
I recently signed up to participate on your web site but realized I had no idea how to bid, etc. and no time to spend. I requested a cancellation and was immediately credited back with my subscription fee. Very much appreciated.
I personally do not like this site. There is too much going on for me to follow. I did not get any "chat" support although they did respond to my email and I am awaiting a refund because I don't choose to shop this way. I'd rather yard sale than this *****! No offence, it's not for me.
Customer support very prompt responding to a concern with billing. Web design at registration needs simplified with billing details more readily visible. Overall, satisfied with QuiBids communication and response.
I'm reading the reviews and it seems to me that the folks who are totally pissed are the people who don't read HOW it works. Yes, i spent 30 bucks on a package and I won't spend any more that. When its gone,. But in the meantime, I've had a fun night home alone with a glass of wine and won a few neat Christmas "santa gifts " for my teenaged son. Things I wouldn't pay retail for and got at a substantial discount. Buck up people. Read the way it works, stop being stupid and please. Learn how to spell!
I didn't see any fine print on the first page of the website - maybe it's a problem with my particular browser - stating that by signing up, I was going to be automatically charged and buying bids. I don't have the time or money to constantly bid (and probably lose), so it's not for me, but when I asked to opt out and get my money back, that was honored really quickly. Nice company - great customer service.
Hi Charlotte. We apologize for the inconvenience, but are happy to hear we could take care of your refund with no problems. Please know you are welcome back to try our site anytime. Have a great day!
The website deliberately undermines other websites such as eBay by basically comparing all of the traits it has, eBay has many other good things that they don't mention. This site is also pretty much just gambling disguised as something different you buy bids (basically the quibids equivalent of chips) then you use them to bargain with other people on the web and ultimately you will lose money as not everyone can win the auction, and im pretty sure the chances of winning are alot slimmer than you think.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
QuiBids has a rating of 2.8 stars from 3,066 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with QuiBids most frequently mention gift card, retail price and business model. QuiBids ranks 2nd among Penny Auction sites.
I am sorry to hear that this has been your impression of QuiBids. Let me provide some insight that will help you understand the value in using QuiBids. Each bid costs just $0.60. These bids are pre-paid and placed in your Bids Account. Each time you place a bid, your Bids Account is deducted one bid. Once a bid is placed the auction price will go up in one cent increments. A maximum of 20 seconds is also added to the timer every time someone bids. This gives enough time for someone else to make the decision to bid if they're interested. This is similar to the “Going once... Going twice... SOLD!” approach of traditional auctions.
If you are the top bidder when the timer reaches zero, you win! You will then pay the ending auction price as well as the cost of shipping. If you do not win, you lose your bids that have been placed; however, we offer a "Buy Now" feature on all auctions. When you use our “Buy Now” feature, we subtract the cash value of the bids you’ve placed (excluding voucher bids) from the value price of the item, and you only have to pay the difference.
We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. If you purchased bids and did not wish to, we have 100% guarantee refund of any unused purchased bids. Please contact our support team via email at support@quibids.com and we can work with you to issue a refund of your unused bids.
