Guys, This web-site is awesome once you learn how to do it. In the beginning you have to bid only for small items that you are willing to buy via the "Buy Now" button.
Once you get some experience under your belt you can move up to bigger items. Now I only bid on items at least worth at least $200.
I limit out on my 8-monthly wins in 1-2 days and have to wait another month to do it again. I win around $2,000 to $3,000 dollars worth of items each month and spend only around $500 to $1000. It seems very easy to me.
The worse I ever do is having to pay full retail for an item and that does not happen very often. Based on my strategies I win at least 50% of the time and save any where from 50% to 80% off the items.
In Australia I am competing with all the players in the US and they have much better products to win from (like gift cards!).
Its not worth me competing with them so I will spend my free bids and not purchase any more.
Sorry, but it could of been a really good game if you offered better products and gift cards to the rest of the world too.
I didn't read the rules or how the system worked. I thought it would be about the same as other sites. When I discovered that I was very wrong and needed to have actions I took without realizing reversed I contacted support. Two minutes later all was completed. Thank you Support!
Had gotten a charge and did not understand why it was explained to me in a professional respectful way and also offered refund as well when they didn't necessarily have to tells me it is a top notch business with respect to its customer base
My issue was resolved in a very timely manner by Ryan. He was very friendly in his email in response to mine. I haven't dealt with customer service a whole lot, but when issues do come up, they are just outstanding in finding a solution!
When I registered I incurred some unintended charges and was surprised to see an order confirmation from QBids in my inbox. I emailed them asking to reverse the charges as they were unintended. Received a reply saying the charges had been reversed. All done quickly and without question. Thank you QBids.
Loved that I said, "cancel account", and done. No questions whats so ever. Did not matter to them that I took my own money and decided to leave. That is great customer service. All companies should follow this model of providing perfectly executed customer service.
I've never received such prompt & courteous service from any company that I've dealt with. This company is also very customer friendly. In other words, they listen to the customer and, if possible, grant the customer their request.
It's closer to gambling than an auction. Only a lucky few get good deals, most waste a lot of money.
I thought bidding on more bids to lower your avg cost per bid was a good strategy. Didn't work for me. It still takes luck to win and the bids you win don't count towards purchasing an item outright.
I did receive my $50 Home Depot gift card. I don't think the site uses bots.
They don't need to cheat to screw you. They will screw you over just fine playing by the rules.
Also they try to bribe you with free bids to leave a good review at sites such as this. So take any positive reviews with a grain of salt.
Update: I sent them a link to this review and they gave me 5 free bids for my positive review lol. I didn't win anything with my bids of course and I cancelled my account right after.
I do not recommend this to anyone. Talk about a rip-off!
I just gave away $45.00 in less than 10 minutes. I did not know that every time you hit BID on the same Item you are giving away. 60 cents. The way I understood it was that you get one bid per item no mater how long you're on it but that is not so.
How? You purchase 75 bids for $45.00 so: Divide your $45.00 dollars times 75 bids and that's 60 cents per bid. That a scam, big time!
Is anyone else noticing that alot of the "positive" replies or comments appear to be from the same person (people), replying to multiple responses with the same text? Hmm, if they employ a BOT to respond to complaints about them, I can only imagine how many BOTS are on their own site. No thanks quibids. Thank you's to all of you for sharing your experience! God speed!
When the internet advances more quickly than our laws we end up with sites like this. They call this an "auction". The definition of an auction in the US is "the public sale of something to the highest bidder". This website is not an auction, but rather a gambling website where people buy cheap tokens in hopes of winning an expensive item. The are skirting the gambling laws that prohibit online gambling in the US and instead are getting away with calling these things auctions. Site is very misleading as they should not be allowed to use the word auction to describe their website. They should be forced to tell the public that this is a gambling/slot machine website. I have no doubt some people do win, but I have an issue with how the site portrays itself
I found this site to be an absolute fraud. I'm asking all residents to contact their respective AG's and file a complaint. For thos of you in MAss., I need about six to call Attorney Paul Morenburgh. His number is *******050. He wants to do a class action. Please, enough talk, let's get your money back!
Thanks to everyone out there for your ratings and comments... will never join this site,... also was wondering if they don't have anybody else in customer service besides this "Erik G character (robot/alien/ computer... who knows. Never saw a comment from anyone else but him... probly owns the company out of a storage unit... lol
White callaway cap i won went missing in the mail system -- when i advised quibids support team they reacted like first responders with almost instantaneous replacement -- it's nice to be treated to such awesome customer service.
They tell you how easy it is and even start you on a beginners auction that you, of course, win for cheap, then you try to win anything else and you get outbid. Every auction I was biding on went for way more than the same item in another auction. Makes me wonder if I'm really bidding against someone else or a computer. I've used eBay for years and am a pretty savvy bidder, but this site is ridiculous. And the newbies don't seem to realize how much money they're actually spending in bids, on 1 auction. At least I was able to bid on over 20 auctions with my meager 141 bids ( kind of like playing the penny slots in Vegas). Quibids is making a fortune and I just paid $65 for a $10 gift card. Shame on me.
Frustrating and deceptive. New TV ads say saving too good to be true can be achieved. Yes, but for an elite and lucky few.
Playing lotto may have better odds.
I did manage to buy a cool measuring cup for cheap. But if my $100 worth of bids winds down without a major win, that's one expensive cup.
I bit, so I can't whine much... but don't get suckered in. House wins.
I want to say that I enjoy the quibids site and their premise, and that I've saved money purchasing a few items from them. However, their turn around time is terrible. I've won three auctions, and nearly a month later I've only just received a single item. None were items that should be difficult to obtain, items that they were selling, and continue to sell at least once or twice a day. Furthermore, their customer service has been abysmal. They don't respond and their live chat makes you wait in line before saying that everyone is busy and to try again later. After my first auction I was planning to do much more business with qiubids, now I don't know if I'll even use my remaining bids.
Good auction site which is fair. You can't lose IF you bid only on items you are WILLING to pay full price for if you don't win at a discount! I've won a Kindle, a Patio propane heater, a PSP 3000, and several other items in the last month. I've also had to choose Buy It Now on even more in order to come out okay on my bidding adventure! BUT I've had a good time and learned a lot... which I have written in a quick "Guide" about auctions like this! It is entertainment shopping... not a way to win cheap and sell for profit!
Quibids is a total rip-off. They lure you into their auction website with so-called auctions that sell high priced items for pennies on the dollar. I was curious enough to sign up, and if I chose to participate I would. LIttle did I know, my credit card was immediately charged $60, which they do not make clear, at least up front, there is no mention of being charged $60, they just take it. WHen I discovered I'd been charged, I contacted Quibids explaining that I did not want to bid on their auctions and wanted to be reimbursed for the charge. They offer no contact information expect an email address which by the way, they ignore.
DONT JOIN Quibids.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
QuiBids has a rating of 2.8 stars from 3,066 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with QuiBids most frequently mention gift card, retail price and business model. QuiBids ranks 2nd among Penny Auction sites.
