Cellular provider working from the telus, bell network for much cheaper. No call center but when it takes an hour to talk to a human at telus or bell what is the difference really? Forum based tech support with ways to make your bill cheaper like 2$ off for auto pay and 1$ off for every referal. Even money off for helping others on the forum.
If you decide to sign up please message me here when u order your sim and i will give you my number to use as a referal thanx! For the dollar in advance.if not cool it's still a great service.

This provider is a joke. It is impossibke to get any help. Everything is online so there is no live chat or phone calls. And when you open a ticket for support you get a reply 3 hours later, sometimes longer. Over 4 days you'll go back and fourth every few hours with various agents. All who will just agree with their colleague before them and say what they said, and actually none of them know the issue at hand. You get attitude when trying to explain the situation and treated like your stupid. In the end the problem has no remedy. They try payment without notifying you or having your consenr, so you pay $50+ for a plan on an eSIM, and it does not activate the account you want, They expect you to pay another $50+ for a plan on your original account you can not sign in to. And they can not refund the payment from the second account with eSIM, transfer plan, nothing at all to accomodate. So you're expected to keep taking money out of your pocket and put it into their scam company. Eventually after no real solutions or remedies to fix the issue, with all the added stress, frustration and extra payments they stop replying all together. Oh and let's not forget, to keep your plan active you must add funds before the due date or pay on due date, which is impossible when you can not sign in to your account no matter what and do not have a 4 digit pin to call *611 and complete it that way. Absolutely hate this company. I regret ever signing up. Years ago there was normal customer service call-in features. But now, it's just ridiculous.

Hello, I have been with Public Mobile for several months now and I am very satisfied with it in addition to being very advantageous compared to the competition. You can subscribe directly to Walmart who can do all the activation for you. By using the code 20XQ2Q you get discounts of $ 10 on your activation and $ 2 per month discount if you pay your bill by credit card. The best price in town, I'm from Quebec City. Public Mobile is Telus, only the price that changes.

I ordered an SIM card on Sep 25 and was told it takes 5 to 7 business days to get the delivery, but I have not got the delivery, there is no human customer service and the robot agent keeping asking stupid questions. It is a big mistake to go with Public Mobile, I confess my mistakes!

Company offering the cheapest plan including unlimited calls and data (1 GB) in Canada. At first, I was a little suspicious because it seemed too good to be true. In the end, I am extremely satisfied. The only notable difference with my previous provider was a drastic drop in my montly bill from $ 40 to $ 23 (including the renewal premium of $ 2). Regarding the phone number transfer from the former supplier to the new one, a point of service such as Walmart does the process fast and well.

Customer service is done entirely by email and its level of efficiency is correct according to my experience. It involves contacting the administrators (PM employees) directly regarding a specific question or problem with your account, or asking the online community for general advices.

In terms of network coverage, Public Mobile (property of Telus) uses certain frequency bands of the Telus network. The coverage is correct in my rural area (LTE with 3 bands out of 5 on average), but excellent in cities (LTE+ with 5 bands out of 5).

Public Mobile (PM) even offers additional discounts if you refer or are referred as well as a loyalty discount of $ 1/year. If you like my review and need a referral code for 10$ off when activating your SIM card, please use this 6 digit code: R86KY8

I have been with Pubic Mobile for two years and love it, except for their USA roaming packages. In the USA, P.M.'s carriers are AT&T and T-Mobile. AT&T have converted their entire system to 4 and 5G. T-Mobile has nearly completed their conversion to 4 and 5G. Here is the catch, P.M.'s USA roaming plan only can be accessed on 3G networks, which almost entirely no longer exists in the States. P.M.'s small print states that it may not work everywhere in the USA. They do not tell you either where it will work or when it wil not work. As it turns out, uit works almost no where. It is very discouraging to know that P.M. knowingly sells their loyal customer a product that they know is very unlikely to work. Integrity is an important aspect of any business. They should sell a product, even at a higher cost, that works.

Public mobile is an affordable service, as it provides the bare minimums with 3G internet service and little customer support. But if that is enough for you then it is great bang for your buck!

I use the $25 plan that comes with unlimited texting/calling and it includes 1gb of data.

Called today to setup a phone line. Got an 820 error code. The website agent said they can't fix it and sent me to their community website to talk to their worker. The worker sent me a message telling me to go to the app and then stopped responding. After 30 minutes of waiting I download the app and the customer service agent there sent me to the community website I was just on! I said he needs to fix it I'm not going anywhere again, 3rd attempt at setting up a phone line and the guy disconnected the call and deleted my account. I wasn't rude yet he said I'm incapable of following instructions properly when I followed the exact instructions and they sent me to him. After an hour and a half with 3 humans and 1 robots combined efforts they couldn't achieve the task of setting up a single new phone line. This would have all 3 people fired and the robot taken offline at any call center I've ever worked at.

I had to update my credit card info as it was compromised, however i was in terrible situation, self surve tools soes not work,everytime it says " opps! Try later. I had to spent 5 days without smartphoe, no call centre. No website, bed self surf tools,ticket dosent work as your phone is off,i never faced such a terrible situation in my life. I moved to othe career, including my son. Good buy! Sorry, Bad buy public nobile.

I cancellled my Public Mobile 4 mo ago and switched to Telus called them and I returned the Public SIN and got a new SIN #from Telus. I cannot in any way reach Pubblic and they have continued to bill my Visa now for 6 months straight. They are impossible to talk to. Avoid them like the plague!

Very cheap

I got a 5G 30GB plan for 40 dollars a month + the points which you earn from their point system. I got it recently but so far it has been good. I was able to transfer my phone number no problem and the data is fast. I will keep you updated.

I signed up with them last year and had a lot of problems with my phone. Calls wouldn't go through, even in well-serviced areas with the person standing right next to me. Some texts went missing.

I had put my 15-year-old daughter on one of their plans and her experience was even worse. She could not make calls out, she could not receive calls. Some calls would go through but others wouldn't. I couldn't call her, ever.

Public mobile help was incredibly difficult. At first they said they would send us new SIM cards, which still have not arrived, over six months later.

The next time I tried to troubleshoot, I found that I could not deal with my daughter's account from my account so I'd have to talk to them from my end, and then they would refuse to talk to me about my minor daughter's phone until I logged into her account.

I asked them AGAIN to send new SIM cards but they said I needed to go to the store and purchase them and they would reimburse them. The closest store that sells public mobile SIM cards is over four hours away.

I lost interest in dealing with them. It was too hard to talk to someone and the general tone was one of ambivalence. We switched to Lucky and haven't had any problems so far.

Fast and affordable!

I transferred from Videotron to Public Mobile overnight. Started process at 10PM on a Friday and by 1AM Saturday my phone line had switched to Public Mobile. I took the eSIM option which was very easy to install (automatic process). 40$ for 50Gigs good for Canada and USA roaming. I often take business trips to the US so this was the BEST OPTION with lots of data and so much more affordable than other carriers out there. Previously I was paying 47$ (tax in) for 25 Gigs Canada/US. I now have double the data for 45$ taxes included! Plus Telus Network has better coverage than Videotron (overall). Worst user experience

The Public Mobile website is the worst I've ever used, and I make websites for a living. You have to create a "Public Mobile Community" account to purchase a SIM card, and you need a SIM card in order to make your actual Public Mobile "My Account" account to buy a plan. The website itself has lots of dead links that go to 404s or redirect to the homepage. There's an option to change your province, but it's not remembered any time you go to another page. God forbid you need to contact customer support, it's almost like they don't want customers. I'm surprised they have any at all with how many hoops you have to jump through and puzzles you have to solve.

I was finally able to purchase a SIM, but it didn't arrive after 2 weeks, so I contacted support and they sent another one which did arrive 1 week later. The booklet it came with has instructions that say you have to scan their QR code to download the Public Mobile app, but my phone is too old, so the app doesn't appear in the store for me. I opened their website and clicked their "Chat Now" bubble in the bottom right which opened a popup with nothing in it, then 20 seconds later some inputs and dropdowns appeared with no text anywhere to indicate what was supposed to go in them.

The last straw for me was when I went to make my "My Account" account through their website and it deleted my Community account, along with my purchase history for the SIM card. Telus is a 36.6 billion dollar company and yet can't afford to make a good website. I'll be destroying the SIM card I purchased and not bothering with this provider. If you decide you want to try, I wish you luck.
