I was unable to log into my accounts for 3 days and counting. My accounts are both in good standing and always have been that way. One of my phones was stolen and was replaced; however I could not order a sim card since the web page required to navigate into my account was in a constant state of refreshing. There are no humans to talk to at Public Mobile and all avenues ay an attempt for Customer Service lead to the page constantly refreshing. Very frustrating and annoying.
I have purchased a US roaming package, which was not launched and I have spent my way home to Canada with no internet. Tried to get a refund from tech support, however, these are truly evil people - with no passion for customers. They will not refund $20 but will lose a 3.5-year-old paying customer. Very, very happy to move elsewhere!
Had trouble after a long time where they locked my wife out of her account and could not resolve it. It took weeks until finally someone assigned another account and we were able to get access once more. Thank goodness she was able to use the phone during that time. Its a bargain but customer service is online only and some not too swift people involved.
If I could rate it as a negative, I would! The most despicable service provider to deal with. The network is permanently down and they lock you out after trying to sign in once! No-one to talk to regarding accessing your accounts, changing your accounts or even to get help.
Everything is automated and no chance of getting assistance other than with a "bot"

Absolutely no customer service support. No person to talk to about any service or support issues. Weak signal always. I am in southern Ontario so no lack of towers. Had no data for over a month and of course you can't get a refund for lack of service since you pay ahead. Left and moved to a real cell provider that at least has customer support and most importantly better signal strength.
DO NOT switch to this company. You have to deal with robots or online forums. No support on the phone whatsoever. Signed up for a 6 months service, they couldn't activate my service nor port my number and they never refunded me either. Only in Canada this kind of business would be legal.
My subscription term ended on Jan 8. So they put my phone on hold and did not inform me. On the 24th, someone sent me a message on Facebook that my number didn't work. (OK, I don't get many phone calls.) Would it have killed them to send an email telling me that a subscription renewal was needed? And now I am in a do-loop of trying to make a payment to be told they can't process it now, try again later.
Submitted two "tickets" for help neither one answered. Chat bot useless. Online chat waited 75 minutes only to be told can't help and to submit a ticket. I told them I submitted two with no response. Chat ended with no response. Ported my number over to Koodo same plan and actual person to talk to that was able to answer my questions and very helpful. Public also billed my c.c. For the next month of service that I didn't use and no refund.
I have the 50gb for 34.00 a month Canada plan...it is fast, consistent and i am so happy that i choose Public Mobile. I do not recommend it for someone that cannot find their way around a phone booth. That being said, for everyone else, go for it you wont be disappointed.
DO NOT use Public Mobile! I had a relative visiting from Europe who needed a phone plan for a few weeks. My provider told us to use Public Mobile and cancel it when he left Canada. It was extremely difficult to get activated and didn't agree to ongoing charges. Then it was almost impossible to cancel. I cancelled by going online into the account, and then I was charged again a month later. I was unable to go back into the account to dispute the charges. I then tried to dispute charges through my credit card company. I was told I needed proof that I canceled the account. I had to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. Public Mobile is a scam company making money off anyone that is stupid enough to use them.
I am trying to transfer my number from them and they're blocking me by not sending me the sms and i cant even talk to anyone and now i cant even sign in to my account becouse there site is not working the log in
I was initially impressed, especially with the value and had some good online customer service, but now I have a problem and its been 24 hours and a bunch of ignorant CSR's are telling me to login on a locked account. 24 hours later and many steps tried and it is still locked and I cannot move the account from an Iphone esim to an Android esim phone.
They don't have customer service, you have to go online and make an contact to speak with volunteers who waste your time and never actually help. They drag the back and forth messages with endless verification questions. One of them even ridiculed me and didn't bother to proceed addressing my inquiry. I regret switching to this company. This is my last month with them, I highly encourage people to do your research and reconsider.

I found if I used T-Mobile as my US carrier the service was great.

Oh boy if you want to get frustrated and waste time then use Public Mobile. I have spent hours trying to change credit card information but to no avail. I can't believe how user unfriendly this app is. Do yourself a favor and use another carrier.
Got horrible support from Public Mobile. Activation failed error 821. Two days of back and forth email with their support, nothing did work, no access to the website, no cell phone number transfer, they billed my credit card twice and no service was provided. They refused to credit me. STAY AWAY.
Their website is arduous to navigate and will not accept any cards from outside of Canada, yet I still receive emails asking me to set up automatic billing. I have been to two parts of the US, one just over the border from Canada and very populated - and although I am connected, and paid for roaming text, I am not receiving text messages.
Customer service isn't on main site - you are told to join a separate community and have to create a separate log in to raise a ticket to wait for someone to email you back.
It is appalling.

Once you are locked out of your account you are absolutely screwed. Impossible to contact anyone without being logged in. How the hell does that make sense? It's not that there is bad customer service, the issue is there is ZERO customer service. I have never seen a company run this bad in my life. I am finally done with them.
