This company advertises a software to get lost or corrupted passwords. Their program does simulates some sort of window, but in fact it does absolutely nothing. The company was supposed to refund my credit card but I have been after them for 1 month now and nothing happens. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. As an additional note: after posting this review the company suddenly woke up and replied to me and have finally refunded my money. Their excuse is that they had lost my email... ;)

Thought I was buying this at the advertised proce of $9.95. However once they have your payment details they tell you its $29.95. I clicked the back button on the browser but they charged me anyway. I complained and they promised a refund - twice, but it never happened. I've now initiated a credit card chargeback but their disputing it! Either very inept or engaged it sharp business practice. Have nothing to do with them.

I work for Habitat for Humanity and I have been donated multiple computers and I need to recover the passwords. I actually had my credit card info on the order form then I checked your reviews. People say that you automatically charge an extra $20 or so on top of the $9.95. All I see are negative reviews. I don't have the time to go through the heart ache of complaining or trying to get refund. It's really disappointing that your company lies about the $9.95 fee. I'd rather spend $40 dollars than get scammed. It's too bad because I was really hoping this was a legitimate offer. Almost got me!

Good product. Customer service can be improved. I sent an e-mail, and did not receive a response back for 6 hours, during business hours. I normally get answers within an hour, if not 30-40 minutes, from most companies.

The tipoff that Prosoft3d is surely a Scammer is that Prosoft3d touts reducing their price to $9.95 for everything, yet at checkout you are REQUIRED to choose to add 1 or more options costing $20 to $30 Dollars each for those very same INCLUDED functions.

It also appears that they attempt to lure their victims into initiating erroneous steps at checkout, which would result in double or triple billing.

I just want my money back because your software didn't work, i tried several times but nothing happens, you said that only$9.95 as you stated in your advertisement and then you ask if i would like to upgrade and i hit no thanks but you charged me additional $20 which i denied for offering me that upgraded version software, and i got shocked when you overcharged me with the software that i can't use. I want my money back, your software is not existed.

Like so many others I foolishly subscribed thinking subscription was 9.95 as advertised. Never received requested information
I recently received credit card statement for 29.95, including a $0.83 foreign transaction charge. Don't, under any circumstances subscribe.

SCAM!
STAY AWAY!
They send me many promises to refund, like "you will see a refund on your statement in 2-3 working days", however it never happened!
STAY AWAY!

After reading all the reviews of Password Recovery 5.0 I was concerned about it's legitimacy. I took a chance and purchased it. I got exactly the same result as most users reported. I was charged $29.95 when I was led to believe it cost $9.95. I immediately contacted Prosoft3D using their eMail customer service process (disappointing to learn they did not have a human to discuss the issue). They (Mandy) responded immediately with a promise to respond within 24 hours. Approximately 8 hours later I was notified that I would receive a full credit. Turns out that even though my credit card company reported a $29.95 charge, in reality I was only charged $9.95. The refund showed up as stated. I notified Prosoft3D that I would still like to try the program if they could explain how to use it (it's online instructions are not very intuitive). They immediately sent me a link to a download site which has their latest version of the program. Not sure why the original sales receipt did not point to this site. I downloaded the program and after convincing my anti-virus software that I really did want to run it, it launched with a much more intuitive instruction set. This version worked exactly as advertised. I'm not sure why their logistics are so problematic but in my experience it was definitely not a scam. It just took a little effort on my part. An issue that Prosoft3d might want to work on.

Thought it was worth a shot for $9.95. The program did not help to discover my admin password, not even close to a hint of a password. Then I find a 29.95 hold on my account, sent an email to ask why 29.95, what happened to 9.95. I was told it was just a 29.95 hold on account but when finalized I would pay 9.95. WRONG! I was charged 19.95 Only positive thing I can say is I did get a response to emails pretty quickly, Too bad the emails did not have correct info, three emails and two weeks time, still no refund, guess I got burned,

Tip for consumers:
My tip would be: DON'T DO IT!!! IT IS NOT $9.95, KEEP SEARCHING

I wanted to try out their password 5.0 software to see if it worked. It was listed at $9.95 on their website and had a 30 day 100% guarantee. It said If I was unsatisfied I would be refunded my money. I figured what the heck I have nothing to lose.
Well first of all I tried to buy it for $9.95 but pop up windows kept asking me if I wanted to upgrade for $20 more. I declined and clicked download. But when I looked on my credit card statement they still charged me $29.95. That ticked me off on top of the fact the software did absolutely nothing when I downloaded it.
So I sent an email asking for a refund. They kept sending emails saying the refund was in progress. Still no refund. I sent more emails. They sent more emails. Still no refund. Then after several emails from their office person "Mandy" and over 2 weeks later I finally got my money back on my credit card. That was after contacting the BBB and filing a complaint. I am also contacting the FTC and filing a complaint. I actually don't know if they are crooks or just a quirky type of internet business. I have read a lot of bad reviews about them. Next time I'll be more careful. Life's like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get. Especially online!

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy anything from them. You will be waiting a long time to get your money back. If at all.

Why anyone would deal with these people to recover (supposedly) their password is beyond me! If this service was legit. Every hacker in the world could and would get into your account. Goodbye to your money on your credit cards. Hello to identity theft and a myriad of nightmares! It is in Canada folks not regulated by the U.S. JUST DON'T!

This company is nothing but a scam. I purchased their $9.95 US password recovery software program online, and they ended up charging me $29.95 US. I had not agreed to this and found out 'cause I review my credit card statements. When I called the company out on this, they said they would refund. But I again had to follow up. They refunded me just the $9.95 US amount and not the FULL amount. I again had to go back to them to demand my full $29.95 US refund. I had to follow up yet again to receive my refund. And to top it off, the software didn't even work.

Prosoft3D is a Scam. I purchased the software and was charged $29.95, not the $9.95 priced advertised. It says it works for all windows, however I needed it for Windows 2003 server and it did not work. Refund policy advertised is not what they deliver. After following there Refund Policy to the letter I never received a dime back. Only responces that they are investigating. Well its been weeks of investigation and still no refund.
Have contacted my Credit Card Company to dispute charges.

Product didn't work! There where no instructions on how to get to work and for someone who is not that computer smart it was very frustrating. I tried to contact customer service and it's done thru email so I had to wait 1 to 2 days before I got a very generic answer on what to do to make the program work. I eventually gave up on the program and asked for a refund which I was told they would give me that was 2 week's ago and still no refund! I have sent numerous emails to them demanding the refund and still nothing. If you are planning on doing any business with this company read all the reviews before you do I wished that I had before I did! There's something wrong with a business that shows no phone number anywhere on there web site and that they do all there response to customer support through email. "BUYER BEWARE"

I forgot one of my passwords. Everything that I tried didn't work. I even tried to change my password but couldn't.

I almost never buy a product over the Internet, but after spending over 2 hours trying to log in I gave up. I figured that $9.95 was worth it. Well by the time you end up checking out it turns out that it's NOT $9.95 but almost $30. That should have been my fist clue that this company was just another rip off website.

Did the product work? NOOOOOOOOOOO! Not even close. The only thing that worked was that their company got my money.

I am now in the process of getting my money back.

It would have been nice to write a good review that said I retrieved my password
And this was the best investment that I ever made.

Will this product work for you? Probably not. Also don't expect to pay only $9.95 because that isn't happening either. When it doesn't work and you try and contact their customer support don't expect anything. They sent a nice generic letter that said very little.

They offered "password recovery" for $9.95 and 30 days money back.
They charged my credit card $30 + and don't return my money. It did not work, they "Mandy" lied, telling me it would do what I wanted.
There are other reports of the same behavior online.
Not only do I have to fill out forms for VISA, I will have to change my card because I can't trust them.

I downloaded and ran the software Password Recovery. My Windows 10 then wanted a sign-in with the lost password. I had hoped the software would solve this, but no luck.It is a total waste of funds and effort, it does nothing.
