The whole shopping experience with this company was hideous! When the dress arrived, not only did it not fit (the size 4 fit like a size 10!), they were extremely hostile when we asked about a refund. They stated they would replace the exact same dress with another size, but in my case they didn't have the size I needed so I was out of luck. You must know this: they will NOT let you return anything you purchase from them, and their customer service is beyond bad -- they are downright nasty! I wish I could give them negative stars.

I agree - should have read the reviews before! My daughter found an nice but expensive prom dress on their website. We did all the measurement and ordered the dress in the right size. Dress came wayyyyyy to big and no chance to exchange it fair even with telling them the sizes would not match the inch chart. Horrible shop, no customer service at all! Don't buy there! I vote for 0 Stars

Horrible company

Horrible company. The site and system work pretty well up until the time they get your money. Then, if there is a problem you are screwed. Very rude and not willing to work with the customer at all. How can you run a web based mail orderd dress shop and not offer returns?

They don't own up to their mistakes, no returns on anything at all! Only exchange for a different size on same dress! But you pay for return shipping and new shipping! All other websites have same dresses and same prices and actually accept returns! Oh and if ur dress gets damaged during shipping they say "its not their problem now"! Do not buy you will regret!

Buyer Beware

I wish I had read these reviews before! This is a horrible company. THEY sent the dress one day before my event. I decided to wait and use the dress for another event. When it got closer I saw that THEY sent the wrong dress. The exterior garment bag is labeled as ordered the dress inside is incorrect. But since I didn't notice THEIR ERROR within the 5days it's my loss!- the error was noticed less than 30 days- I will never order from them again!

The dress we ordered came with a stain on it and no tags. We were out of town when the dress arrived. When we returned and opened the package we were shocked to find the dress NOT in perfect condition. I called the retailer and they told me it was outside the 5 day return policy so they could NOT help us. I told them I just wanted to exchange the dress and they said they could not because they had no way of knowing if we wore it already. I explained that I wouldn't be asking for a replacement dress if I the dress had been worn. I WILL NEVER order from this website again. Beware! Their customer service is awful!

Beautiful dress and timely delivery, however the dress came witha stain, several holes in the sheer fabric in the back, a tear be the zipper, and some missing beading! When the dress arrived, we just hung it in the closet because we knew we'd have to take it in to have the length altered. We did that about a week and a half after receiving it and the seamstress pointed out all of the quality issues with the dress. So after paying $400 for the dress plus shipping, I then had to pay to have quality issues repaired. I contacted the company and explained I didn't want to return the dress, but felt they should offer me something for the inconvenience. The rep just kept repeating they couldn't do anything after 24 hours of delivery which is RIDICULOUS! When you pay that much money for a product you're paying for quality and customer service. Prom Dress Shop is shockingly lacking in both. So disappointing!

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with, I brought 7 bridesmaids dresses which cost me nearly a $1000 dollars, when dresses arrived they look nothing like the dresses I ordered, I emailed the company as soon as they arrived and they have straight refused to give me a refund saying that dresses were made to the sizes I gave them, I explained to them that it nothing to do with the sizes, and then they tried to blame it on the colour which also had nothing to do with it, the dresses I ordered looked absolutely beautiful but the dresses I have received look like costumes, I am so angry and upset as I now have to buy my girls more dresses for my wedding, please do not buy from this company, I will show photos of the the dresses we're suppose to look and how that actually looked the photo of the blue dresses is what the dress was suppose to look like the photos of the red dresses is what I received which look nothing like the blue ones

I called them to place an order for a prom dress. The girl took the order over the phone and gave me an order number. 30 minutes after I hung up I got an email saying that the order was cancelled. There was NO order number on it. Since I had only placed one order I was pretty upset that my order was cancelled. We needed a dress fast. So I went to another site called promoutfitters.com and ordered the dress from them. About an hour later I got another email from promdressshop.com that said they had accidentally placed the order twice and the email I received was a cancellation of the duplicated order. Why didn't the email have an order number on it? If it had, I could have compared it to the order number I wrote down from the phone order. I called them the next day and asked them to cancel the order because it was their flub up and I now had two orders for the exact same dress from two different website. They were incredibly RUDE and refused to cancel even though this was their mistake. Never order from them.
