DO NOT get into business them. It is an auto renewal contract and the Terms and Conditions are hidden in a hyperlink. If you try to cancel, you WILL be sold on keeping the contract with some "deal". Unfortunately, their service provided virtually NO LEADS and their "website" and "CRM" are terrible and weak. This was for the cost of over $15,000. The website is a landing page and not a true website. We held up our end of the contract even after going in a different direction with a different website and CRM. We emailed on 8/31/23 to cancel the subscription which was to renew on 9/29/23 and was ignored. They say in their hidden Terms and Conditions that they require a 30 day notice, we were 2 DAYS LATE and were not informed of the 30 day subscription by our customer account managers. During our 2 1/2 years with HOUZZ we were assigned 3 different customer account managers so very challenging to keep track of who is helping you. The most recent account manager never reached out to us for support or to discuss the subscription renewal. They will NOT work with you and refuse to allow you to speak to any supervisors to resolve isssues.
WE SIGNED UP AND THE CONTRACT ONLY SAYS IN THE FINE PRINT THAT IT WILL RENEW ANNUALLY WITHOUT NOTICE. WE JUST TRIED TO CANCEL 6 DAYS AFTER THE NEW CONTRACT BEGAN AND WE ARE NOT ALLOWED. THE LEADS ARE SERIOUSLY BAD. WE KEPT PAYING IN HOPES THEY WOULD GET BETTER AND TO HAVE THE HOUZZ SERVICE BADGES. THIS IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT USE THEM.
Alex!
Thanks for all the help you give me! My business has grown and is doing well thanks to the Houzz presence I have in the market. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Travis
I've used them all, And HOUZZ pro is truly a product made with the Contractor in mind. Not only that but the consumer side, offers seamless communication and collaboration with your customers. GREAT PRODUCT.
I have used Houzz Pro for years. I appreciate their personal investment helping my business grow and always growing to assure that my business is marketable
I have been on Houzz for over 5 years, this is a great platform for contractors to present our work and receive feedback. I highly recommend it, especially Ati Shirazi, who helped me a lot.
I'm a new subscriber to Houzz Pro and feel very confident of a successful outcome. The help received has been resourceful and looking forward to a long relationship.
From a software perspective the platform seems fine. We evaluated it for use but decided not to proceed with a purchase. Unfortunately, due to an administrative oversight, we failed to cancel the free trial and have been being billed for the past 12 months for a product that we neither used, needed nor wanted. After attempting to contact the company - they refused to process any refund or cancel the subscription. So they continue to bill us. As a small business this is a non-trivial expense. Very unethical business practice.
Houzz pro has demonstrated deplorable & predatory business practices. While we respect their prerogative to adhere to every letter of their trial policy - we find their practice to be extremely unethical. After contacting them to inform them that there was an oversight in the cancellation of the subscription - they refused to stop billing us for the product, even though we never used it beyond the trial date. We are a small business and this is not a trivial expense. As a business, they certainly have the ability to practice ethically and cancel subscriptions in the cases of administrative oversight, given evidence that the product was never used beyond the trial date. Throwing their hands in the air and pointing to the policy as though they are powerless to do anything is extremely disappointing. Even if they kept the payments for the first few months of the oversight and then canceled the subscription, that would have been acceptable.
I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and would warn anyone interested in evaluating the trial to be very wary of the predatory business policies. They have no interest in providing any leniency to errors and will continue to bill you for up to 12 months after requesting a cancellation.
Taylor has and is doing a great job as our "Client Success Manager". He knows his stuff and is always available to help me with our needs. I would highly recommend him for your "HOUZZ" needs
Tara Hickman has been great to work with for our Houzz rep. Professional, invested & approachable. Thanks for your help as we continue to work together!
I've been a customer of Houzz Pro for 7 months and as a small business owner (who also happens to be a sales operations manager in my 2nd life and works with databases for a living), I desperately wanted this product to work for us. We needed a way to streamline estimates and make them them more efficient for our carpentry business. From the very start, however, I found the platform to be glitchy, and frustrating to use - it's not as intuitive as they promote it to be. The item catalogue is clunky, and unless you track expenses they way they do, you'll end up keying in your own items which, again, is extremely difficult to update. When I reached out to customer service on multiple occasions with questions, feedback, concerns - their responses tended toward resistance over actually being helpful. Very frustrating experience, and this last interaction with their support team has cost them a customer for life. Proceed with caution if you are a small business owner on a tight budget and are looking for a tool to make your life easier. HouzzPro is probably NOT your answer.
When I started my design business in 2017 I started using Houzz for product sourcing, digital presence, portfolio showcasing, and collaboration with clients through Ideabooks. As the platform evolved and my business became more mature, I chose to subscribe to Houzz' Pro program as a source for new/prospective clients. Now that Houzz and Ivy are one, the sophisticated tools are very helpful to automate my business and add an elevated level of professionalism and sophistication to my clients' experience as well as adds efficiency to my operations - from client sourcing through project execution. There are many features I haven't tapped into yet, but I plan to in the future.
ROI - Generally, just one new client per year covers the cost of my subscription which makes the investment well worth it!
Other advantages, assigned client success manager (Pro program) and account manager (product sourcing side), trade discounting, and simple website deployment and management.
As always, read the contract and understand the terms and conditions if you chose to subscribe to the Pro program with Houzz.
I am a Houzz Pro user and I love it! I get great leads and superb customer service. Other than my website, Houzz is the only form of advertising that I use. It has given me great results.
Houzz Pro is a comprehensive platform. It's the most in-depth platform available. The personal support is also the best we've experienced. We've been extremely happy.
The team is very helpful and extremely professional. The platform is very complete. Houzz is very famous as a quality high end residential design/sales/installation/contractors services.
They will sell you on 90 days of training but that's a total lie. They don not provide training. They send you links to their website & youtube videos. They started our subscription before our 30 day trial was up. Our "trainer" assigned to us was in a 4 hr time difference so we could never connect with our team. When we did finally connect she ran through her "training" in 5 minutes. They have a chat option for help that I tried to use but anytime I had a question they didn't respond for 3-5 days. They put us with a new advisor in a closer time zone but the night before training I got an email that he canceled with no explanation. Then they put us with another advisor. By this time they'd already wasted almost a month of our time. I tried to cancel before our 30 days shouldve been up and they refused to cancel. They made me get on phone calls that were over an hour long and just kept repeating over and over that they were sorry that we weren't happy but all they could do was offer a month free. I am still getting charged monthly for something we can't use. You can't even write a review on their own website. Look at others reviews before you sign up. I am not the only one. This company is a money grab that does not care about their customers. Buyer beware.
Houzz is the best company for generating new clients. It is an easy platform that looks professional. The representative, Huong, is very helpful and available.
In March of this year I signed up for a pro subscription trial, mainly to use their design tool. I'm not a business, just a regular consumer. As soon as I did, I realized my mistake and called them to cancel. After speaking with numerous people and getting transferred (they won't let you talk with any supervisor), first they told me they couldn't find my account and then they told me I wouldn't be billed because I didn't complete the profile- this is deceiving information and I knew they were lying. I waited 24 hours, signed in and went to my account's dashboard. I found the area to cancel, selected it and received an immediate email stating my trial was cancelled. On the dashboard, it showed I had an incomplete profile, but there was one. I called them back and demanded they delete my profile as I'm not a business and demanded they scrub my credit card, threatening them with legal action if they didn't. Received a call and they told me they were working on this and it would take 2-3 days. Someone else emailed me and provided me with a case number (always ask for a case # if you're having issues). I called back one week later to confirm my credit card was gone and then received an email confirming this. I also closed out the original credit card and obtained a new one, just in case. So far, over one month has come and gone, no charges, no emails so I think we got this taken care of. If you call to speak with their customer service, demand to speak with a supervisor. The people who pick up the initial calls are idiots and will try everything to not put you in touch with a manager. We also filed a complaint with the better busiess bureau.
I signed up for Houzz pro because I wanted to make some 3D floor plans and just a few quick designs based on drawings that I had already made. For those that have an actual business, this review probably won't apply to you(completely). However, I got Houzz, and I made my 3D floor plans perfectly but the 3D rooms are limited to only houzz products which is kind of ridiculous because you aren't able to make plans that actually look good when you are limited to those furniture options. Outside of that, I am writing this review because of the cancelation process. It is $60 a month to use Houzz pro. In my original email with my free trial details, there was a link that said click here to edit subscription details. 20 days into my trial comes around, I press the link and it says "this page does not exist". So I called the customer support line 4 times, and they did not answer even though it was during business hours. I wrote 3 messages to their customer support email. I heard nothing back. Once I finally did have a response they told me they would look into canceling my subscription and then hung up. On their website, there is no place to press cancel my free trial or remove payment details. The free trial end date comes around, and even though I deleted my profile and called customer support I was billed $60.3 more phone calls, no refund, and two weeks later my account is finally canceled. Ridiculous.
Answer: After being hounded for years by their persistent sales team we finally committed for a year of "Pro" service for our design company. This was very expensive and yielded no solid leads after one year. For comparison, Google gave us over 3,300 referrals in a year, Instagram almost 1,000. Houzz Pro? 35. In an entire year. Less than 3 click throughs a month for $400 a month. After a year they renewed us on a month to month basis for $400 a month with no fore warning or any follow up to see what we had thought of their "service". Our Houzz Pro "dashboard" contains no information on billing, renewal terms or renewal dates. To cancel your auto renewal you have to do it on the phone, 30 days in advance. Our sales rep. No longer answers emails and will not address this issue. We are disputing this with Visa and we keep getting charged. We block Houzz Pro and next month we get billed by Houzz Advertising. Truly a terrible, parasitic, dishonest company that provides zero value. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Answer: Yes use it as you may---am part of the team. Keeping in touch with me would be the best of both worlds for me and the client.
Houzz Pro has a rating of 2.9 stars from 157 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz Pro most frequently mention customer service, free trial and credit card. Houzz Pro ranks 4th among Home Remodeling sites.
