I booked a night at La Quinta while driving cross country a few hours before I arrived. I thought it strange that the taxes in a small town in Indiana were $22 on the Priceline bill. Priceline charged my credit card $104.97, yet the receipt from the hotel was only $74.10 plus $8.90 in taxes = $83. I called Priceline the next day and they refused to honor the hotel's receipt. I was told that was Priceline's profit. That is $22 profit for a one night stay.
That's a RIPOFF.
DO NOT USE PRICELINE.
Charge my card twice I will never use them again I should have used my normal hotels.com. I reallly hope someone catch these scam artists
I bought a flight from Richmond to Newark. Canceled as a result I lost my midnight flight to Greece. Priceline after hours couldn't find me another flight. Two days later flew with Aeroflot. Through Priceline I made reservations at several hotels, car rental other airline tickets.
On the third day in Athens I fell and had a complete hip replacement. I emailed Priceline to cancel all my reservations because of my accident. My sister was six hours on the phone with Priceline. Couldn't accomplish anything.
I'm in shock laying in a government hospital which I call THE BUTCHER SHOP and Priceline wants me to do all the calls etc
Furthermore I traveled back with 60% of dying from a blood clot but Priceline wouldn't help me to get me on a non stop flight back home to US
A nightmare. I can provide all communications.
I reserved and paid for a room at the doubletree for my 6year old bday party Priceline never said you need an extra debit card with extra money just Incase u use the phone I did not check in so Priceline or the Doubletree will not refund any of my money or give me a room I hate them both
Would appreciate a refund of Total Trip Cost: $1075. 20 after calling to canceling (Itinerary# 140-608-034-38) (for a Disabled Veteran in severe pain) June 21,2018 because the flight was delayed over 2.5 hours to visit a dying family member. The only alternative would be to arrive in Monterey CA at 12 midnight and the car rental company would be closed at 10pm. This would leave my husband suffering with ongoing severe pain stranded at the airport with no transportation.
I called Priceline *******774; right after finding out that the flight was delayed, to cancel this Priceline Trip which included - United and Budget Car Rental. Personally, also canceling these companies individual reservations.
Priceline got extra $ refund from United Airlines 6/26/29 for 209.60 USD - FOR A CANCELED FLIGHT! And kept $ 1075. 20 of our money for a trip that was never used.
Priceline is a disgrace to our beloved United State military disable veterans, monetarily taking advantage of disabled, pain ridden, Special Forces Veterans. How can you correct this?
I was out town needing a room for few nights, so I decided to use Priceline. It was the worst idea! I finished there process to find out got No Room and can't get my money back. Luckily I use my bank card so I was able to get my bank to get my money back from my bank. IF
I COULD PUT A ZERO STAR I WOULD,! So beware guys! They will ruin your night!
Their Priceline guarantee is bogus and their claim of cheap flights is a lie as well. We found our flights for like $245 cheaper on their site and screen shotted the price to bring it to Pricelines attention. They hung up on me twice when trying to get what they offer in their price Guarantee, almost $500 they got me for and a couple hours waisted time on their help chats. No help at all and I would reccomend staying away from this company.
Feel hoodwinked. Area that was described close to Capital and Campus not. Was told area was on map that is not clear on website. Will never ever use priceline again! William Shatner and Kaley Couco SHAME on you
Havent used priceline for a long time now I remember why - the "too good to be true pricing" on a rental car is quickly wiped away by fees and trickery. I paid priceline 377.77 for a rental car... when I got charged an unexpected amount on my credit card I called Budget and they revealed to me (erroneously) that priceline only paid them 325.77, keeping 52.50 of my money as profit. So my total bill from Budget was 395.98. So instead of owing them the difference from what I paid to Priceline of 18.21 ended up costing me 70.71. I had to cover Pricelines profit. While this might seem like small potatoes/come out in the wash,... the reality is I thought I was paying for 7 days of a car, taxes and fees on that car. What the confirmation should have said is 7 days of a car, taxes and fees AND PRICELINES profit on that car. Its a sobering reminder that if you have a budget and you try to take advantage of a good deal to stay within that budget, that you are going to go overbudget because of glazing over the true price of a car rental... will be going directly thru car place from now on...
I attempted to change my hotel room reservation to accommodate 3 guests, (double bed room). The fields populated themselves and I wasn't aware that it was only one room one option, no options to modify.
The hotel refused to allow me to check in, since they weren't able to change the reservation either, as we had 1 guest more than their maximum occupancy rule for one king bed room.
I was on the phone with Priceline customer service in just over six minutes after my card was charged and they literally told me my money was gone and to start over with booking a new room. Pay double.
Not ok at all, and I wonder how Priceline would feel if we were one of their family members?
Here is my personal experience: Booked a hotel room via the Express Deal feature on Priceline.
Priceline claims to have a Price guarantee with 100% refund if one finds a better price at the same hotel, for the same dates in the same room configuration.(200% refund on Express Deals)
One day before departure I googled my Express Deal itinerary, and low and behold, I found a lower price for the same itinerary that I had booked. I called Priceline with the request to please give me a refund, or at least match the deal I found on the web. I was told it was against policy, since cancellation on the competitor's site was free, and my booked itinerary had a non-cancellation clause. The reasoning from the rather rude sounding supervisor (whom I asked to speak to after the first customer service rep (who took 20 minutes to find what I had found in 3, but at least he was nice) wasn't able to help me) was that the cancellation policies had to match!
I would have gotten an overall better deal with the competitor ( FREE cancellation beats no cancellation any day)and a significant lower price and was denied my refund on a technicality.
Book with whomever you want, but I personally no longer trust Priceline.
(I have the screenshot for the lower competitor offer, and am not affiliated with any travel sites in any way.
I accidentally double booked via Priceline. Priceline reached out to the hotel several times without being able to get through to the direct location. I called guest services who confirmed that they too were unable to get in touch with the location directly to confirm cancellation and refund, she filed a complaint on my behalf on recommendation from her supervisor. She ensured me that guest relations would offer a full refund. ((Recorded phone call))
The next morning I drove over to the hotel and was told by Chaundra that their phones were down and Windstream "should" have them up by Sunday night. She advised me to call on Monday and have Rosalie cancel the charge and she would make sure that they did (recorded interaction)).
After learning my double booked hotel room did not have a single first floor room available, so I went back to Extended Stay. Upon check in, I requested a first floor accommodation due to a disability. I was almost checked in and I did tell them I had a service animal. I was then denied a first floor and told that I had to be restricted to their 2nd or 3rd floor rooms because those are where the "pet" rooms are located. ((Again, a completely recorded interaction))
I tried to explain to Chaundra that that was illegal and against the ADA protection. She didn't care. Her supervisor, Rosalie also denied to allow me to stay on the first floor. Their reasoning was that their corporate office sent them an email stating that NO PETS were allowed in the "nonpet rooms" regardless if they were service animals or not.
Even though I did not stay at the hotel and even though they already told me it would be refunded, they're now not willing to refund. I was denied a first floor room because of my service dog which is AGAINST THE LAW, both state and federal law, and now I still have to pay for a room that took me 10 hours to cancel due to their own technical issues? https://www.ada.gov/archive/qasrvc.htm
After being on hold with Extended Stay Guest Relations and Priceline for no less than 10 hours, I started filing complaints online. It's ridiculous that there is the ability to flaunt the law and make customers pay for that.
I book a car on priceline.com and the booking "cannot be confirmed". After 3 days it is still not confirmed via their partenr rentalcars.com and I want it canceled. They cannot cancel it or confirm it, I am stuck in the middle and I need to wait to receive an email which I did 3 times without an email. Spoke with a supervisor, nothing more happened except they escalated my request and I will receive news in 3-5 business days.
I booked a car online weeks before my trip, including prepayment. Upon arrival the rental car company required I have my insurance card (even though I purchased their insurance) and $400 deposit on a credit card!
That would have been great info to have up front. I was 1/2 way across the US and didn't bring a card with that much on it. I was left stranded without a car, had to shuttle back to the airport and then rent a car at 3x the cost, because it was a "walk up."
Here is the only info provided from Priceline on my booking confirmation,
"Important Information
The driver must present a valid driver's license at the counter and a credit card in his/her name. Additional drivers may be added at the counter for a fee. Additional charges may apply if you pick-up or drop-off the car at a different date, time, or location than your reservation."
I was a regular user of Priceline until my last trip. The hotel that I booked was horrible - it smelled and was not clean. I immediately called Priceline and they said that as long as the manager approved the refund, Priceline would refund the money. The manager sent an email approval, but Priceline still charged my card and refuses to provide a refund. As a result, I paid for an empty room for 1 week. I have tried to get my bank to dispute but they said Priceline will not budge. We would not have checked out if we hadn't been told by Priceline that we would get a refund once the hotel manager approved. I have even tried emailing Priceline management but no response. What a ripoff company. I will do whatever I can do influence as many people to ban Priceline.
Arrive at LAX go to get my car at Fox Rental Car and there's a three-hour wait line unbelievable. Spend $60 on an Uber ride because I have no rental car get to the hotel which is very highly overrated for a 4-star hotel the phone didn't even work the windows were so filthy couldn't even see the view. Trip was cut short because we had no car but had a horrible hotel to stay in you go Priceline good job should have read your Yelps in the first place my fault. The only thing good was the airline trip which was sponsored by Delta not Priceline you're a fraud. Again scam alert scam alert.
Be very careful when booking with this company. Big bold price but does not see what currency. Small print down the bottom us funds. They all there bases covered. After complaining they explained how they cover there but. Click on the top left corner scroll all the way down look for currency bla bla bla. Any ways I ended up paying 35% more than I should have.
Lesson learned
NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER USE THEM!
Booked to stay at the Hyatt in LA next to the airport. Our plane from Australia was delayed and then rescheduled for the following morning meaning we would miss our hotel booking. I called Priceline to cancel and request a refund. Priceline said the hotel would not give a refund therefore Priceline couldn't. I called the Hyatt who told me that as it was booked through Priceline it is their decision not the Hyatt. I argued with Priceline for our $317 AUD refund and got nothing...
I book a car for one week through Priceline July 2019. The priceline price for the car was $40 per day. I returned the car after 2 days and was charged $22 more per day, That amount does not include fees. I will never go through priceline for any reservations again.
Terrible people, all about making money on you. You make a wrong move- they screw you big time in every way possible.
Stay away at any cost!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
