I've had an amazing experience with PotteryBarn Kids. I purchased a floor lamp with glass shades from them and accidentally shuttered one of the shades myself a couple of months later. I wrote to the customer support asking if I could purchase these shades, but they instead sent me a set of shades for free, knowing it was my fault. If I can count on them standing behind their products to that extent I'll keep buying from them for sure. Thanks PotteryBarn, great job!

“Backpack quality very disappointing”

Ordered a new backpack for my daughter in early August. The shipping date kept moving back until it eventually arrived in early November. The design was really cute and she loved it so I was ok with the wait, but then after two weeks (of light use by a first grader) one of the straps just completely tore and keeps getting worse. I'm kicking myself for assuming better quality. It should be a major red flag that they don't seem to have reviews on their site. Definitely never purchasing from them again.

Top sheet was sent upside-down. Didn't notice until much later when I was in grandsons bedroom. Defect

Beware, pottery Barn has removed item reviews from their website. Most likely because there are a lot of negative reviews online about their products being low quality or falling apart. I purchased a glow in the dark space themed sheet set, and after it arrived I realized the print is upside down on the flat sheet. I pulled up the item online to see if mine was defective, and I can totally tell that the stylist for the product photo shoot has the sheet wrong side up (print is very faded from the back) with the top flipped down over it to make the print look like it is the right side up. What in the actual hell. So they know it's messed up and they don't care and choose to sell it like that anyway…. Not shopping here anymore.

I ordered a backpack from PB Teen (Gear-up drip Painting) & it tore less than 3 months. The recycled bags are cheap, DO NOT BUY and waste your money! The backpack only housed lunch box and folder for a 2nd grader. I will not shop here again.

I placed an order for beds 9 weeks ago and still have not recieved them. Customer service said that one was waiting to be shipped. They sent 2 emails to the vendor and still no response. The other bed I was told was waiting for rails by one rep, the next rep said it was ready to ship. I have sent emails which were not followed up on and have no ETA on delivery. I have cancelled both orders and will not order from this site again.

I don't mind paying for quality but $59 & $79 for a SMALL toy baskets, $15 to ship, $10+ for wrapping. I've tried 8 ‘current' coupons. None work. Got something similar at TJ Maxx for a fraction of the cost.

I ordered PBK nursery dresser and recliner.
The recliner was so poorly assembled of rocks and sways with out a push and gives me and my husband severe motion sickness and vertigo.

The dresser, delivered two months ago, is still off gassing headache inducing smells. The interior of the drawers are rough making me concerned about splinters in my newborn's clothes.

Despite the price tag the drawers do not pull in and out smoothly at all! Again, this could be poor assembly or poor product l quality

Ordered on November 28,2020. Finally talked to someone who was honest and said they have no idea where the packages are and if they will ever reach me. They issued me a refund. Guess we will see if that gets lost too.

We bought the Larkin 4 in 1 crib for our first child and used it for our second as well. We are having our 3rd any day now and wanted to set up the crib again. Unfortunately we misplaced the hardware. I called to see if they would send us the repalcement hardware and they flat out refused. They said if i had bought the crib in the last 30 days they could send some out. I was willing to pay whatever the charge would be but they refused. Completely unhelpful. Rude. And now we cant use the crib we used for all our babies. I wont be recommending them any time soon to anyone. Theyre furniture is overpriced and with the amount one has to spend at their store you would think they would be nice.

I had ordered The Charlie 4in 1 crib (and Dresser which was delivered but damaged) over 60 days ago after massive delays and several phone calls and broken promised of expected delivery dates I have yet to receive my baby's crib. It has caused a severe amount of stress and headaches. PB Kids needs to step their game up and rush order with their vendors or not sell items they don't have in stock! This is suppose to be a special moment in my life the joys of setting up and decorating my sons nursery and all it has been is delays and nightmares! I have contacted the corporate office to speak to someone but unfortunately its only a voicemail. There is no representative to assist. Go Figure!
I will never buy anything from your company again!

I have been a long time customer of pottery barn kids and now teen. I have purchased bedroom furnature, bedding, rugs, chairs, etc and have been happy with my purchases. EXCEPT ONE - navy mini chevron rug from pottery barn kids. The rug looks nice out if the package, but is not practical for a kids room due to the high pile and large weave of the rug. The rug snags on EVERYTHING! If your kids plays in their room - every single toy will get caught in rug and pull out the weave. Legos, match box cars, colored pencils - anything. I tried to ignore it at first, then put carpet squares over the pulled areas and now it just looks awful. Disappointed to say the least.

We ordered 7 pieces of furniture. 4 of them came within the time window they specified. Of the last 3 pieces, 1 was delayed by almost 2 months, and the other two have been listed online as delivered but were not. This has taken over 20 calls to straighten out, many of which have been "dropped" or "disconnected" and I have been transferred to many different departments. I have been extremely polite for each conversation, so they are not dealing with a difficult customer. It's hard to believe how such a basic mistake could have been made online, and hard to believe how difficult it is to correct it.

I just called customer service to get a replacement piece for the Avery Tech backpack (45-*******) and the customer service rep said they don't send replacement pieces, the entire backpack would need to be replaced. I paid $63.50 and I can't get a simple replacement piece for the zipper that broke off?

I recently purchased a pre-K backpack. Please note that these backpacks are too small even for a three year old. They do not even hold a folder. Papers would have to be folded in half. The description indicates the backpack will hold a change of clothes, a snack, and a favorite toy. Sure, if it is one shirt, a pack of fruities, and a matchbox car. Perhaps a small sippy cup and one or two diapers. Otherwise, the size is useless if the child is indeed attending pre-K. If Pottery Bark kids had reviews available for their products, I would have avoided this situation. Unfortunately, the item was personalized so Pottery Barn not willing to exchange. The quality was fine, the description misleading - so please don't make the same mistake I did with the backpack.

I contacted costumer service and spoke to 3 different people. No one was able to give me any information on my order other than what I can already see on my account on their website. NOT HELPFUL! I spent thousands of dollars and I've received everything but the bunk bed and the delivery dates keep changing. I was told the bed is in stock but no one could tell me where it is or why it's taking so long to ship. One lady did however tell me it could take 6 months to a year for it to arrive at my home but she couldn't tell me for sure. What is that?! That is ridiculous and unacceptable! I have made several purchases in the past but never again will I order furniture of any kind from Pottery Barn or any of it's affiliates. Customer service is a joke and I'm super pissed! I'm stuck with hundreds of dollars worth of bedding from them with no bed and no real answers as to when or if I will ever receive the bed!

I sincerely hate to write this review because I like the product, however the ordering and customer service experience is horrible. Every time I go to order it appears things are available on the website and when you select for your cart when you get ready to check out it will say back ordered or not available. Today I receive a sale e-mail at midnight, go on at 5 am to order and it's there but when I try to purchase no longer available and when you call the customer service agent acts rude before I even tell her what's happening... I have to say I'm done with Pottery Barn Kids now. It's not once in awhile it's every single time. Not to mention half of the nice items you can't get in store.

I always had high regard for pottery barn and have purchased items from them previously but not recently. I doubt I will buy from them again.
I'll go ahead and list the one positive thing about this ordeal was the customer service representatives I spoke with were very polite and as helpful as they could be. That being said my order is still in limbo and most stores would already have an item I ordered shipped at this point!
I received an error message when placing an order over the weekend and so I thought it hadn't gone through and I'd just order again on a weekday. Well I noticed the charge for the order pending in my bank account. I called customer service and they couldn't find any record of the order so they said to wait a few days and the charge should just disappear. It hadn't and I got an additional email a few days later saying my order was to be processed and I would receive confirmation on it. I call again and a representative can't find my order number that I was given.
I was given a number for order processing and was told they might be able to find it. At this point I'd had more trouble than I ever had ordering something online and just wanted to cancel the order. I spoke with someone with order processing who was surprisingly rude and useless. Having explained the situation and how I just want to cancel this ghost order that nobody else can seem to find but that I definitely got an email about I'm told "Well it's not in the system so it should just cancel eventually". All this while there's still a purchase charged to my card.
Never in my life have I had this much difficulty ordering online and I wish I had read reviews before placing an order.
UPDATE: I was contacted by a social media lead who was helpful and informed me that because of the card I used it might take longer for the charge to be taken off of my account. It was taken off 2 days later so in total this was a week long ordeal. Still unacceptable in my opinion and if I hadn't made this review I wouldn't have been contacted by someone more informative and would have been in limbo until the charge cleared. If I had wanted the order after all it would have possibly been a week until I had found out the order was never processed. I do not plan on even attempting to shop online here again.

We have had bad experiences with the personalization services twice with pbk. I know the holidays are a busy time, but pbk items are not usually cheap, they charge for personalization, and they don't allow for returns if you do get something personalized. So beware if you do get a name embroidered on to your items, which is the only reason I ever even shop there since most of their items are usually available on other websites for cheaper.
Last year, we had luggage for each of our children ordered online and personalized two weeks before Thanksgiving so that it would arrive before Christmas. One of the two luggage sets was never sent and had to be re-ordered when it didn't arrive for the holiday, and then re-ordered again three weeks later when it didn't show up for a week after they said it would arrive.
This year we ordered three stockings personalized with the children's names and two of the three stockings are contorted because they monogramed it with the stocking top folded over. And of course, we can't return it because it is personalized. It would have taken 2 seconds to do it correctly and for an added $30, they should have done better. We had to use a couple dozen stick pins to get them to lay flat next to the mantel and thus rendered them completely useless for stocking stuffing with toys.
Needless to say, I will never order from them again.

I recently bought a twin bed and the Cameron Creativity Storage System Cubby. First, it's terrible they do not allow reviews of their own products because I think parents should know that the storage cubbies have a very strong chemical odor. The off-gassing lasted for over a month. If I would have known I would not have bought them. That said, they do look very good and are perfectly functional. For some reason PB charges (or charged me) a per item delivery fee + shipping regardless if it is shipped or white-glove delivered. For a bed and the cubby system the fees totalled more than $500. I wasn't going to order but a service rep said she'd discount part of the fees after I placed my order. She didn't. After the storage pieces arrived I waited at home for half a day for a bed to be delivered. They never showed up. The bed was missing. Replacement was offered but I would have to wait 6 weeks. I had many conversations with customer service. They were shockingly apathetic. I'm still kicking myself for not buying local.

The product description says the spencer bento fits in a Mackenzie classic lunch bag but it does not! It is SO HARD to get it in the lunchbox. It just doesn't fit. I'm soooo disappointed as I bought this lunch bag specifically for the bento that my daughter loves to take her lunch in. You either need to make it so these items actually work together or don't say that they do!
