Total deadbeat, going through a divorce, only looking for a woman go help him pay his bills. Separated married to a drunk bipolar wife in a rehab center. First date insinuated that his wife is breaking their lease and he needs help paying rent at his sister's and the 1800 rent that he owes to the landlord! Ladies throw this dead fish back! Bald, fat and broke!
I met Bruno 3 years ago. He has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and narcissistic tendencies. He mentally and physically abused me and was charged with 5 counts of assault. He also verbally and sexually abused me and treated me with complete disrespect. This man is very sick and dangerous. He appears to be charming and friendly but he is not. Please ladies do not engage or get involved with this man He will hurt you and destroy you. I added his profile picture from POF.
Was a nice site when founded in 2003. What most people do not realize is that the site has since be sold to a dating giant -along with its good reputation- who changed the whole setting - and the reputation as well. Looks like present owner knows how to earn money and probably went into data sharing (selling?) business; anyway, there seem to be now a lot of people who have quite other ideas in their heads but dating...
Pof has changed for the worse now...it sucks...When scanning through profiles it now goes to a white blank page after approximately 8 swipes...Dumb strategy...You will lose more people...This is greed and aggravating aggression to get money in a scammers way...Worst app now...unless you feel like being upset don't even bother...This is the definition of pointless
I met a woman named Sandy, talked nice and smooth. Then the price came. She claims she worked for AT&T and asked me to order seven cell phones and put them on her credit card never met her. I don't know what someone would need seven cell phones for? Be mindful of who you give your information to
I wasn't expecting POF to be at the same level as Match or eHarmony -- you get what you pay for. But I do not like the fact that a lot of the recommended matches are people who haven't logged in to POF for months or in one case almost a year. Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid for it. This is deceptive and fraudulent.
Went on here for first time, I dont think they realy want you to meet some one, i sent polite messages to people and when i looked on their profile they had messaged me back ( a ticking their) profile but i had no message in my inbox, I also had a lot of people like me, then sent a message to to them,( no replies) I think these people purposely block the message, then they want you to buy tokens to boost your message to the top of their message list, its just a money making scam, wont ever use again!
Too many fake profiles and bots that are on the Plenty of fish dating site. Also it seems half the women are friends with benefits or bring their drama to a new relationship. I will just stay single for awhile.
Guys, first quick sign of scammer is when yu look at where they live- if it's local, keep moving!
Nobody communicates with anyone else. You can send out as many likes as you want, but nobody will like you back and of course nobody will talk to you on the phone if you do get a response. I get likes, I like them back and I never hear back from them again. Typical so called dating website. If you are a man good luck to you. I got a like from somebody and she replied back "who are you?. They sent out a false like to me from her and she was not even interested. Just a waste of money. Then there are the scammers trying to get my debit card info by sayng they want to video chat, but my debit card info is needed to do it. They are so stupid and can't spell either. Just plain $#*!ed idiots.
Unable to change the distance and it will only let me see ppl that are hundreds of miles away. Makes absolutely no sense. Do not pay for this site.
They recently made changes. I don't much care for them. It used to be you could see users who viewed you. Now they show you 3. If you want to see more - upgrade. I've been on and off this site for a long time and it seems like most of the women "only accepts messages from upgraded users". Well... they'll miss out on me. I'm not willing to pay to message someone unless there is some mechanism that would force themn to reply to the user who upgraded so they could say hello. It would suck to pay money to be ignored. The search seems to ignore the criteria - I specified 57 to 65 and I am seeing women in their 40's and 70's. What I think they really need to do, and the software should be able to do it - if a person only wants messages from someone under a certain age, and you are over that age - don't show their profile as a match or in a search. If they only accept messages from upgraded users and you aren't upgraded - don't put them in the search or match results. Oh yes... the scammers are as busy as ever. "Age is just a number" or "love doesn't care about age" and it's a woman who says she is 64 but in reality is 35 because "I made a mistake on my birthdate and can't change it". It used to be an okay site, but not anymore.
We all know the majority of Brits are average to Damn right ugly. But if anyone refuses you, so what. It's free have a laugh.
Well so far most of the guys here have been just looking for sex. The one guy I decided to actually meet after great phone conversations for a couple weeks turned out was just looking for a submissive. WYH. And his pictures were from years ago, lets just say he had aged not that well. The second guy I met seemed to good to be true as well. After many conversations we finally met, had a nice night (he made me dinner). When I said well I should get going it's late, he got upset and said "hey we're both adults here stay the night" again figured I was just on this site to find a sex toy. I said not who I am, we just met I'll talk to you Tomorrow, thank you for a lovely evening. Never heard from him again. The others have just been scammers using phony pictures and profiles. Their messages that you can barely read as illiteracy runs rampid on here are broken and off the wall. Fake. It's just sad site
After you're on the site awhile and have had several First Contacts, a 24 hour clock kicks in and you can't have another First Contact until then. Your stuck chatting with the multitude of Scammers and Prostitutes who wasted all your initial efforts at finding someone compatible. You have to pay the Subscription Price to life the ban. Not fair!
Poorly managed, If at All. Pervasive Fake profiles and scammers. It is painfully obvious there is very weak, if any nominal monitoring of profile validity and content.
This site is full of female scammers. They contact you, then get you to go to Google Hangouts where they drill you with personal questions. Their POF profiles are fake (everything from name to age to location). I researched 3 of the scammers and all 3 were from Ghana. I didn't even bother with the fourth.
I felt slightly scammed like they are baiting you by hiding your matches, then charge quite a bit if you purchase a plan - and will not offer refunds if the site doesn't meet your needs. They rejected my request for a refund. Get the Chargeback app and they provide a form letter for POF - I got a refund confirmation within 24 hours.
As a lady looking for another man on the site for a long term relationship, The majority of the men all seem to be looking for quick hookups and sex.
The best thing about this site is that it is free for both men and women to get messages and to reply to messages for free.
Tip for consumers:
Use a more reputable site
POF requires only mobile phone verification of identity during registration. Email is NEVER verified during set up, however, when recovering an account, POF will ONLY allow email verification from an email that was NEVER verified by POF to begin with. WHAT? POF refuses to verify identity by mobile text even though that is the ONLY method that was used to verify identity at set up... They would not verify by other details either including every other detail on the account and verified photos. So essentially, because I typed my email incorrectly (A TYPO) at registration, and it was never caught because it was NEVER verified, POF refused to use any number of legitimate identity verification methods including the mobile text that was originally used. POF also refused to delete the profile stating if I gave them my username and date of last login, they could delete the profile but not verify for me that it was deleted. WHAT? "So, you will delete a profile that you supposedly cannot verify is mine, but you won't allow me to recover it?" THIS IS THE MOST ILLOGICAL SET OF POLICIES EVER! So apparently my profile is still out there forever, without my permission by the way. This has to be one of the worst companies in existence.
These strange foreigners from dating sites. How a descendant of a Napoleonic general escaped from me and why the ladies are throwing macaroni
POF (Plenty of Fish) is the most free dating site that I have found. Unfortunately it is also one of the most abused site for scammers. I have met ladies that showed an interest in me. Nearly 100% of them eventually asked me for money/gift cards, for a variety of reasons. Having some experience with dating sites, I have found a number of pirated photos that are being used. I have also read the exact same paragraphs on a number of topics from many different women, suggesting that these accounts have a centralized business model. Be aware of the grammar or sentence structure oddities. Take the time to research photos on various scammer identifications sites. And never send money or gift cards to someone you have never met.
Tip for consumers:
Look carefully at the language, grammar, sentence structure that is being used. If word choice is peculiar, be very suspicious. If their favorite foods are chicken and rice or if they can not give you details of their claimed place of residence, be very suspicious.
When I first found Plenty of Fish, it looked great. Unfortunately, it proved to be pretty fishy itself.
The instant you create an account with them, you get instant replies as well! Unfortunately all of these prove to be bots. The age verification scam is linked to the first ones that come up. Frankly, from the looks of the supposed person behind the profile set arrives in my inbox, I question whether or not they were underaged not whether or not I was 18 or older.
The good news is they don't charge you initially and you can still browse profiles. That said, I subscribed for the minimal subscription of 2 months because they seemed fairly legitimate, and it certainly is significantly less money than LatinFeels or some other websites
For the first couple days it was great! You can see who's been viewing your page, you can do more accurate searches, and there's various other features that you don't have with the unpaid subscription.
But almost immediately, the Box discover your profile. All kinds of websites are linked to these profiles, most of them porn sites that have nothing to do with the face supposedly Behind The Profile. Others try to get you to list your credit card information on a web page that looks legitimate because it has the name POF on it, including their logo, and other information that appears to relate to POF. However, this claim that they make- that they are simply verifying your subscription by verfying your credit card information in order to give you "FREE" access to video conferencing with other profiles, is a complete total scam.
The real rip off part of the entire thing is this: five days after I signed up for the subscription, I noticed that the first month's charge still hadn't cleared my credit card.
Then suddenly one evening, I noticed that the website seem to be misfunctioning. I was getting profiles popping up that shouldn't have because I had not open those filters on my profile.
I contacted customer service via email, yet I got no reply for the next day. In fact I really became suspicious when suddenly I was getting no reply at all when previously, their customer service when I reported scammers, seem to be very very good.
Well, this is where the scam comes in.
They tell you when you subscribe to the service that you must contact them in order to stop the monthly monthly charge for subscribing to the website.
I wasted my time attempting to email their customer service again and again because it appeared my account have been hacked, or there were other technical issues yielding incorrect search results.
This was the first fishy thing I found out about Plenty of Fish. Even though you cannot set the search parameters for one's sexual orientation, suddenly, all the profiles showing up on my search ( which was set for only female profiles within a certain age range) I started getting nothing but lesbian female and homosexual male profiles popping up when I get a search. I also noticed that the women I had saved as favorites suddenly no longer appeared to be online at any time.
I wasted my time repeatedly contacting customer service because they didn't seem to be addressing this issue. However, I received absolutely no response back from them for over 24 hours.
Then I read the fine print under their help section. They state that if you are blocked by too many profiles, they will delete your account. Only they won't just go in and delete it so you don't have access to it. Instead, they'll continue your access to it and skew your search results like they did with mine, simply to waste your time.
So here's the next fishy thing about Plenty of Fish. Even though you can't set the search parameters to block someone, at least not on my account did I see any place you could do this, they claim if others block you they can delete your account
So my question was, how can it be that I was blocked too many times if I personally am unable to block others on my profile which again I had subscribed to and paid the full subscription rate for?
So this is where it really gets interesting and the real truth comes out. Even though they had deleted the account, I noticed the very next morning that they had debited my credit card for the now ongoing subscription.
That way they're not actually providing you with any service at all, but they are debiting you every single month.
For this reason, I elected to report them to the Federal Trade Commission for deceptive practice and fraud.
The very next morning, I checked my credit card statement online, and saw that they had finally put through the debit so this is
This place a gimmick and for new individuals this place is not like it ude to be.the world of dating and interacting is gone wild...since the covid 19 pof seems to have got the flu also...not for a man like me better off going for a walk
This app is a joke. First of all, the men listed in NEARBY are mostly NOT nearby. Apparently, POF thinks Florida is only 10 miles from NJ (example), and aren't they supposed to show you only men that fit your criteria? They don't! AND MY LIKES shows men I have NOT liked, and would not have even looked twice at. Don't pay for this!
Hey POF, what gives you the right to block so many members from one another? You don't ask about income levels. There are way too many people not for you according to POF. NOT COOL!
Tip for consumers:
Save your money.
Not free after a few weeks, no messages can be sent or received without payment, before that... I got numerous responses all from fake accounts... some fishing for money... the account in site come up in same city, after conversation... then exchange phone number, has foreign area code... their statement saying oh I'm in another state trying to get to your city... soliciting money... more than once... for me the website is a total b. S...
