Pinterest customer service is the worst I've experienced and it amazes me that as big of a company they are, that they can't do better in customer service. All of my encounters have been what seem to be easy fixes but they just refuse to fix. Here are a couple things that have happened that have really bothered me... almost feels like I got tricked by them. First they offer me $60 credit to run ads. I run ads on Facebook and thought I'll go ahead and give this a try. After spending time to set up my Pinterest ads account and put in my billing card info, they kept denying my ad. Eventually I lost the $60 credit. Then next they offer me $30 credit, so I give it another try. I spent hours learning Pinterest ads and setting up the campaigns, launched my ad and the $30 credit that was available just hours before was no longer available. I contacted the company and they did nothing to help.
We have had an issue with our pins (business page) and have opened multiple customer support tickets - not ONE has been answered! Tickets were closed without a response. Completely unprofessional. Our issues are still ongoing. More trouble that it's worth. Would not advertise with this company - you'll never hear from them!
For the past few months Pinterest has been constantly falsely removing my pins and even after submitting numerous complaints and appeals they continue to do so without reason. The pins in question are for artistic references. Pinterest falsely claims inappropriate content however this is hypocritical as I have seen many adult ads on the site/app.
For context: one pin was of 2 people hugging. Inappropriate? I think not.
This was a great site and now it's awful. They bombard you with suggestions you don't want, no matter how many times you select "Don't show me any more picks like this". It's turned into a nightmare and my feed is full of junk every day. I don't want to see this junk, Pinterest people, that's why I didn't follow these people!
After using it for many years, this is the last straw - I'm not using it anymore.
How sad to see such a wonderful site to go the same way as all the most dreadful social media, forcing users into something they assemble for you, rather that let you make your choices.
So long, Pinterest. No more "Picked for you" here.
Today I discovered that all my boards, which I have spent countless months painstakingly organizing to my liking, had been scrambled out of order by yet another unasked for and unwanted update from Pinterest! I tried desperately to fix them but it was no use. Once again it seems Pinterest wants the website to be more like the mobile app, which is just ridiculous. I am sick of all these pointless updates that keep robbing us of personalizing our profiles. The people in charge of this website have absolutely no regard for their users anymore.
I liked this app when it first came out. It was fun to build boards with different interests. Then, like many things unfortunately, it became swamped with ads for cheap products using bait and switch tactics. Now if I have an interest in an article, I must wade through and dodge so many pop-up ads, it's just not worth trying to get through a post. Too bad.
I never tried to contact Pinterest until two days ago. All they did was send me the exact same "fix" as they have in their help center, word for word. My boards rearrange themselves. I put them in alphabetical order and next time I log in, they are messed up. Also I spend five minutes trying to get a new board from the bottom to the top. It won't let me drag it more than one row at a time so I am siting here -drag and drop - drag and drop- all the way to where I want it. It does the same on my husband's computer so it's not that. I have tons of photos to put on Pinterest but hate to do them one at a time. Why can't we drag and drop from our own files on our computer. 'We used to be able to' is NOT an answer.Stop asking for my phone number when I log in. You're not going to call me, you won't even address my complaints.
For me Pinterest is a personal platform, one that you go to in order to take time for yourself and not for the sake of connecting with your loved ones. Because of this, influencers are discovered differently on Pinterest, it is primarily by their content that users identify them, not by their reputation or identity. Indeed, a Pinterest user will not spontaneously search for influencers in the application's search bar but will discover inspiring content created by professional content creators as they use the platform.
The new birthdate requirement is nothing but shameful data mining. Pinterest has no business requiring someone's personal information as a condition for use. In 20 years, we're going to look back at these unethical practices and wonder why we ever let companies get away with this bull$#*!.
They are constantly deleting pins stating that it's in violation, HOW when they are on site "to pin" they are "regular" none violent, none harmful in any way and I do not have "secret boards"! This never used to happen and I've been pinning since the nineties, it feels harassing. If they have issues with pins on their website remove them from the people who POSTED them initially.
They deleted my entire account once and I had a conniption as I pin as a form of therapy, I see peoples accounts that are disgusting and filthy? Anyone can see mine and know I pin "normal" things.
The service is quite fun to use and very convenient as I can store different materials in one place. However it has ads and some content stored by other users may be unsafe to minors - take care knowing that!
Pinterest is awesome. It's like having a bookmark bar except you can add comments and have them neatly organized by their pictures & divided into categories. There are endless tips & ideas especially on ways to decorate your house, make cute diy things, or make healthy, delicious food. I go there all the time for inspiration. Sometimes I get a little too excited and try cooking/making something and fail, but it's fun nonetheless :)
So i will have to stop using pinterest for inspirational garden ideas because since the latest update a chunk of every image you try to view is covered by a big blue message box which can't be cancelled. Anyone found a way round this?
The new format is very disappointing, finding specific boards are very difficult especially when you have so many. Nothing in alphabetical order or visually accessible as it once was. No Board Covers to go directly to. Pinterest Stops and Starts without reason, or showing only blank boards most of the time. Extremely frustrating to search your own boards let alone anyone else's. Constant feed of useless Pins that are of no interest. I'm ready to throw in the towel on this app. As it is Not even letting me pin Anything before it Shuts off! Please fix the problems.
I love pinterest. There is always something new and interesting to look at. Recipes, cute animal pic, beautiful photographs, home hints and renovating/decorating ideas. I could spend hours scrolling through the pages.
Pinterest is a good way to express creativity and share with friends/strangers ideas or anything cool you may have seen. Although pinterest may seem a little silly or confusing at first, the website actually serves many good purposes. The website is open for viewing but in order to completely participate, one must be 'invited'. While getting invited may take a mere 24 hours, these 24 hours may deter ones interest in the website. Hence, this may be seen as a con. Also, new users may find themselves confused since pinterest is not user friendly and it takes some getting used to.
Ultimately, I think the website's main purpose is to help individuals share ideas and interests with one another, whether recipes, DIY crafts, or decorating. The various options helps this website remain successful and promote its popularity. Personally I use Pinterest, and although not very often, I would recommend it to a friend.
Absolutely love browsing this site! I also have the app on my phone to view anytime I want, even better! Great pics, styles, crafts, holiday ideas, etc., it has created so many ideas for me and my home.
I love Pinterest! A family member told me about this site and I've been hooked ever since. It's great for getting ideas about all the details for an event from flower bouquets, outfits, hair, decor, food, etc. Definitely a source for inspiration and tapping into your creative flow for any occasion. You can create multiple boards to organize your "pins" which is a must have for me.
I have been through Pinterest academy. I have emailed customer service in response to rejected ads asking specifically why an ad was rejected when others very much similar were. Basically run around comes to mind, but no answer just referred again to the thier guide, which does not do helpful. If they were not a big social media site I would run and not look back they are so bad...
Do I really want to see ads for ranch dressing 5 times in the time span of 2 minutes? No thanks. They completely filled my feed with annoying repeated ads - so much so that I get maybe 3 authentic pins from people I actually follow hidden between like 15 promoted pins. No thanks Ralphs I don't want to see your disgusting recipes even if you paid a lot of money to have me see it. Gross. 2017 Pinterest sucks.
Answer: I warned everyone about what a piece of crap pinterest is and now their true colors are showing. #PinterestSucks
Answer: I was sent a message on May 29th alerting me of my suspension, with no explanation, only that they would be sending an email explaining why. I sent an email to their help desk explaining I was a long time member with thousands of posts, none of which I considered to be against their policy. They acknowledged my email and said I'd get a reply shortly. I have not heard back nor do I expect to. This is not the first time this has happened and I have learned my lesson. They have no regard for their members and their customer service is nonexistent. Never again!
Pinterest has a rating of 2.1 stars from 474 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Pinterest most frequently mention customer service, multiple times and email address. Pinterest ranks 481st among Social Network sites.
