Perfume Samples & Decants

Never received my product and no customer service. Almost 2 months now and still no replies after 3 emails. Spend USD123.

I ordered a sample of Louis Vuitton California Dream - I actually did receive it in a timely fashion, so that isn't the issue. The bottle looked like it was rigged at home, with a home-printed sticker label and a clear bottle, which makes me wonder if it's even the real sample at all. I coincidentally had my credit card hacked about a week after ordering from this site, $400 worth of Skechers ordered. No evidence it's from this company, but I think it's odd since I've never bought from a website like this before or had fraud issues until now. I mean... you'll get your order, but there's gotta be a scam involved somewhere in this business.

I love perfumes, discovering new potential scents that I can fall in love with is a hobby of mine so I'm always looking out for a good sample company to buy from because if its one thing I've learned is the only nose you can trust before investing in a large bottle of perfume is your own.

I came across www.perfumesamplesanddecants.com when I did a Google search and even though there wasn't much out there about them and www.scamadviser.com gave them a 63% safe and suggested there might be a small risk I went ahead with my purchase. I bought 34 samples and paid $216.71 USD including shipping. Everything went along fine enough until I checked my tracking info and saw that my package was delivered to the post office and I had to go pick it up, big inconvenience, if I knew that beforehand I would not have made my purchase. I contacted them about the delivery to the post office via their website they never responded. After I got the package I initially thought I was missing 4 of my samples as I hurriedly checked them through due to the fact that I was in the midst of preparing for a work trip. I contacted them again and asked about the missing sample via their website as I have purchased enough samples to know that sometimes when a fragrance is out of stock they'll send what's available then send the others when they become available and they never responded. After I never got any responses I sent them a facebook message letting them know its poor customer service when you have your customers contacting you multiple times about an issue, they responded with an attitude telling me that they did contact me and they asked me to send a picture of the sample because they find it strange that samples are missing. They never contacted me as I made it a point to check my inbox and my spam/junk folder to make sure I didn't get a reply and missed it. I wrote back and told them that I never got a reply and I would do as they asked since they were so sure they sent all my samples.

After getting home from my trip I sat down and checked through all the samples and it turned out I had 33 and one was still missing. I contacted them again via facebook telling them about the number of samples, that 1 was missing and I sent the pic. To this day I never got a response and they never even checked the message as facebook messenger shows when your messages has been read.

The samples in the glass vials were fine enough all smelled fresh and authentic. The samples in the plastic atomizers were a different story, I don't know if it's where the bottles are stored, but all of the samples in the plastic atomizers had a strange odor I can't describe. It smelled grossed and took away so much from the actual fragrance, whenever you sprayed any of them you got a strange smell you knew shouldn't be there and one of the screw tops had some weird looking tan colour debris that looked kind of like a tiny worm or a piece of bark so I made sure not to spray any of the plastic atomizer fragrances on my skin due to that.

It is regrettable how this shopping experience turned out as I found at least five new fragrances that I absolutely love (all glass vials) and initially had plans of being a repeat customers, but they made sure I would never spend another scent there with that kind of customer service. If you don't want to have to deal with customers after taking their money then you're in the wrong business.

I had problems with this company a soon as I placed my order. PS&D creates a usps shipping label, then doesn't ship and does not send any updates/news regarding shipping time. That's was my exact experience. For two weeks, USPS site only showed "label created/Not shipped. I had to open a case with Paypal for the company to finally activate (ship) the USPS shipping label. The package was stuck somewhere for about a month until I finally got it. Customer service finds any excuse for every single error I pointed out with my complaint. They even dared saying that other perfume companies do not offer real personal customer service like they do which is a lie since I have gotten excellent customer service from 3 major perfume decant /sample companies every time and my orders with those other companies arrived within a week at the latest!. PS&D instead excused the co. For every error with poor excuses and, after not resolving my problem, asked me to write a good review after they sent me a coupon (I will never use it). PS&D also said that the bad reviews people have written about them (here, reddit ++) are fake as if some of the other + better companies would have to compete with PS&D in that manner! Now I know, first hand, that the bad reviews are real.
PS&D seems to be a very very small business operating from a basement or somewhere similar in California and I only got my package because I complained formally with Paypal. This is my First and Last order from this company...

I thought this sounded like a great place to try some fragrances before buying full size. It seemed better than going to a perfume store and putting something on to try it each time. This way I could try for several days to see if I like it.
I ordered a pretty good selection of perfumes and colognes I had been wanting to try.
I ordered on 11/17.
I was told the product shipped on 11/23.
I was then told it was delivered on 11/25. I immediately went to the mailbox, excited to get my hands (and my nose) on my samples. No package in the mailbox.
I waited another day to make sure it didn't show up the following day. Nothing.
I emailed the company via a link in my shipping email. I got no response.
A couple of days later I emailed them again. This time I got a response. The response was that it's not their problem of the post office didn't deliver it. No offer to help with investigating what happened. No offer to replace any of my $88 worth of missing product. No follow up to ask if it ever showed up.

I started a claim with the post office. They say their GPS shows it delivered at the area where our cluster of (probably 20) mailboxes are. Perhaps the key to the parcel box was put in the wrong mailbox. They will ask their carriers to see if they can find out what happened to it.
Several days after that my package showed up in the mail as if nothin ever happened.

So, will I buy here again?
Doubtful.
I like the idea of trying things, but the waiting, possibility it would never show up and I'd be out the money, and the lack of the company caring about this are enough to give me pause.

What a great company this is. I always check which new perfumes they have added, they don't add too many too fast but always have a nicely curated collection of perfumes to buy samples or decants of. The delivery is a bit on the slow side but I'm never in a rush to receive the samples. I tend to order 20 or so samples at a time and get them in a few days to almost a week.

The only negative is they don't have everything all at once but who wants everything anyway? I usually get 2 or 3ml samples of fragrances that are currently being hyped and I'm happy to see what the hype is all about.
