“FRAUD!”

Magnus K.
4/30/20

After cancelling 18 months ago, they charged, and AGREED that yes! Sorry... maybe I was still interested. If the Principal is India, shabby practices belong there, sir! Defrauding people under these circumstances is as low as it gets. As I have 2 acquaintances with similar experiences, a class action is no trouble for my attorneys.

Tip for consumers:
CAREFUL! MAYBE 20% OF WHAT IS ADVERTISED IS in any way reality.
I call this SCAM AND FRAUD.

Products used:
Match for 6 mos. A disaster. They fancy non members to attract subscriptions.
Now when 18 mos later, much as in other cases I know, they have the audacity to charge my credit card, my firm was obliged to contact the FBI.

Twice I have been charged $129 from People media twice I have cancelled payment my account and anything to do with this dishonest company so far it has cost me nearly $400.00 for nothing! This company in my opinion is a disgusting dishonest ripoff I do not want any thing to do with company but they keep helping themselves to my money > I am a 73 year old widow who finds this practice of dishonesty disgusting.

Tip for consumers:
That this company keeps taking your money even when you have canceled

I called today regarding the fact that my profile should be available on any of peoplemedia sites as it has been in the past without me having to redo another. Ourtime was the one in question. I have been a member off & on for years! I was no doubt upset to have to create another profile but definitely not rude. I was treated like a child and preached down to by one of your associates. I have his name but choose to withhold. Please speak to your staff. Thank you.

Had issues with bait and switch, showed singles in area that would never respond, once paid for membership no persons closer than 250 miles. Cancelled subscription towhich they fought to return money. Filed complaint with federal trade commission, next day got my refund.

I am a widower looking for a mate or friend, and I used dating sites years ago. But after joining OurTime for a month and paying, four days later I received a suspicious flood of "messages" from "members" and then suddenly found I could not use the site. Two emails to OurTime have gone unanswered and I found that my payment was refunded without explanation.
When you consider the millions of dollars that serious users like myself pay in to each dating site every month, words like "incompetence" and "fraud" come quickly to mind, and users have no recourse.

Tip for consumers:
Before you join and pay, you should consider that online dating sites are 1) full of fraudulent "members" - people whose motivation is not sincere, and 2) dating sites collect MILLIONS IN CASH every month and have little or no scrupulous oversight, and 3) once they get your money, they don't really care about you.

Was charged via PayPal thru my company credit card $107.76 for "Ourtime". I've never clicked on or visited thier site. Complete scam! PayPal authorized this and was likely hacked. I wonder how many people don't catch these scams?

Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs!

Didn't. Was a scam!

Was hacked even though I asked them to remove all of my information. Some of it was from 9 years ago and it was still on there with an old email address. They closed out my accounts - supposedly - and still kept telling me I was hacked into a week later.

I joined Senior People Meet, ask for a refund of $9.65 through Pay Pal which was honored but now I am blocked from accessing my account. I initially paid for a 6 month basic membership which is the only service I want. I am deluged with all kinds of requests for additional services. These requests are in the form of pop ups which interfere when I am searching the site. I am so very frustrated with PeopleMedia, its methods and its nagging for additional services when I only want the basic. MlG

Several months back I joined OurTime.com paid my fee with my debit card and then I did not renew. I had a lot of stalkers and weird men on there. Lo and behold I look at my bank statement 5/20/2013 and I have over $200. In charges from Peoplemedia. Marriageminded.com, Marriageminded.com, Babyboomer.com, Seniorsmeet.com all belonging to peoplemedia. I notified my bank immediately and then called the number that was posted next to the debits, Peoplesmedia. On 5/20 I first spoke with Lewis, he accused me of clicking on these sites, I said I don't remember clicking on these sites and irregardless I didn't authorize any payments on my debit card. They stole my debit card info that I had entered to join OURTIME. Com several months back, because they are all associated companies. No satisfaction. Asked to be transferred to supervisor, George gets on the line after much waiting. I told George to send me proof I had clicked on websites and proof that I authorized payments from my debit card, no satisfaction. George said "you clicked on the sites thats authorization enough for us". OMG I asked to speak to George's supervisor, we are now going into an hour on the phone talking to these clowns. Stephen C (wouldn't give his last name) gets on the line. I might as well talked to a wall. This company needs to be stopped! Does anybody have any suggestions for me? The only profile I posted was on OURTIME several months back and paid for that. I never joined any of these other singles sites. I never posted any info about me or pic's or anything... Please help...

SeniorsMeet.com and its affiliated sites thru People Media. Are dishonest. I had a very unsatisfactory 6 months with them and had my automatic renewal cancelled. The last week of my membership they put HUGE ads on the home page. At first you could click my matches or search and get the ad to disappear. The last four day you had to click of the page and sign back in between every person you looked at. My subscription expired on (/24 and I went in on 9/27 to check site and to get my profile hidden. The large ad was there blocking the page. I went to go up to my account to hide my profile and just moved the curser over a part of the ad. A screen popped up saying that I had renewed my account. I went to the Help page and went thru the process of picking out what I thought would apply and writing a paragraph explaining the I did not want to renew. When I went to submit it - IT WAS REFUSED! I tried an alternate way to get customer service and it kept telling me I was Timed out. I called my Credit card company and had the charge pending to I told them what happened. They gave me a customer service number to use but now I can not get that till Monday. The credit card company hopes that People media will reverse the charge. We will see. My complaint is registered at any rate.

Tip for consumers:
Be sure to make sure auto renew is off and get your profile hidden and stuff early.

www.PeopleMedia.com is ok. K except they charge a fee for their services. I don't think they should charge a fee unless a person finds a date or gets married through their service.
