The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

I was locked out of my account due to not having a mobile phone. Paypal offers no other solutions as well as not unlocking your account after numerous verifications. They wouldnt even take the money from my PP account and transfer the funds which had the same name. Grevious process and completely frustrating.
PayPal has blocked my $2000 for over a year and not releasing my money. I have contacted them numerously and messaged them and called them through so called Resolution Center but they do not respond. I am sick and tried of them, they need to be sued for keeping people`s money!
You wake up one day and find your money has been blocked permanently and you can't use the money. I am so dissapointed with this company not even once!
Someone very clearly hacked my account and make a purchase. I made a claim of u authorized use of my account and it came back as denied two seconds after submitting it. What the actual F@$! I'm stuck with a charge I didn't make because PayPal's security is so poor?! Never EVER using this service again I don't recommend it one bit. They invite give hackers your information and don't let their protection policy fool you, they don't actually review cases.
I have an exchange student living with me and Paypal has restricted his account with no reasoning. We have called for 8 days straight and spoke to many people who could not help, every person keeps telling us something different. The worst was tonight a manager at Paypal Rebecca #*******, spoke to me in the worst customer experience of my life. She even said to me, "You sound educated, I don't understand why you are not getting this." This is unacceptable and Paypal should be ashamed having someone like this work for them in customer service.
Paypal stole my money. Paypal is actually a scam. It is time for to shut down the app, it's the worst payment processing app. I have contacted them about the money they put on hold and they returned it back to the sender. They can all f*ck themselves. Thanks
Horrible Experience:
I was so happy to have found a place (Picture on Gold) where I could purchase a graduation ring for my daughter who is graduating this year... For this purchase, I used paypal credit line so I can pay for the ring within 6 months interest-free.
I wanted a ring for a girl, with a thin band on the side (that is how is perceived on their website) and what I got in return was a ring with a thick band for men. I called and spoke with Picture's customer service and they asked me to send it back to fix it. I received a phone call back saying that it was the way I purchased it and they could not do anything. I asked for at least a discount and they granted me 15% off. A few days later, I received a call from Evelyn (acctg depart) and she told me she made a mistake on the amount of the discount and they needed to collect from me $ 322. I explained to her that since my paypal credit line was connected to my bank account, I could not accept a debit as I did not have that money on my account. She lied to me by saying that since they gave me the credit it was going to cancel out with the debit and in the end, I was going to get a credit on my account. Needless to say, I did not get the refund, but a debit to my bank account thru paypal. Now, I am off $322 and a ring that I never liked plus the benefit of paying the ring back within 6 months was gone.
Be extremely careful if you have a paypal account or if you are thinking about opening an account with them. They take the side of the vendor and forget about the cardholder. I did try twice with paypal to get the money back from the vendor, return the ring and forget about this horrible experience, but PayPal went ahead with their story (of course the vendor use them for this scam) and did not care about me, the customer. Now I am stuck with a ring that is horrible and I feel completely mistreated by paypal... If you have a PayPal account be extremely careful with that account. If you don't have one, there are better credit cards around that take care of their cardholders the way we should be treated. Hope this post helps someone in any decision-making.
My fiancé opened a corporate account and 6 months later she decided she didn't need it anymore and when we followed the PayPal online directions to close it and we literally clicked the "CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT" tab as the directions stated but we got a big X saying cannot be completed and to contact paypal for more information. I tried the messenger option which is rediculous because it doesn't put you in contact with a human. So then I found their number online and spoke to them and we couldn't believe what we heard. They said it must be escalated higher up to get it closed. They further states this account has limitations whatever the hell that means? We sure didn't place any limitations. The rep transferred us and we were on hold for 40 minutes and gave up. They seem to have purposely designed a system whereby it takes an act of congress and lots of wasted time and pain just to simply close your own business account. So what now? Call in again for another 40 minute hold? I always had a good image of PayPal but I see a pattern of PayPal using mafia obstacle type tactics to make it impossible or a very very long and arduous process. After witnessing how desperate they are to prevent people from simply closing their own accounts, I've decided to stop using them forever. A desperate and dark shadow has come over this company. See photos attached, apparently PayPal doesn't want to make it easy and convenient when you want to make an exit. It weeks of corporate desperation! This company will fail and collapse with this shadowy mafia like control against letting clients close their account.
I have never used my PayPal card and I have had it for about 6 to 9 months. I am the assistant manager at a truck stop and one of my employees lost his paycard. He also has a PayPal card and seen me on his list of who he knows that has one. So he asked if he could send me the money and I get it off my card. His paycard gave him a virtual card to use until his replacement card gets here. He needed cashmoney to pay a bill so I agreed. Now PayPal has basically closed my account and said that I didn't use the card in ways that they approved of. I'm very disturbed by this allegation. The business I am in, we take numerous courses on how to avoid scams and money laundering issues but yet, basically this is what I am being accused of. We take those types of things seriously and report to police departmenta when it happens. All because I chose to help one of my employees, I am basically being accused of the such behavior... In my opinion, PayPal has a very poor judgment and I hope anyone that uses their card, doesn't deal with this type of problem, in the future.
I was over charged by a merchant, spent about an hour and 45 minutes on the phone before reimbursement.
Then, over a year ago, I could NOT login due to an error. I was in the process of moving as a physically disabled individual.
Today, I called customer service. Supposedly, I owed $21 to Dollar Play, however, I have never used Dollar Play. I was told I had 180 days to dispute the charge and that window had passed. I vaguely remember seeing the fraudulent charge but, did MOT have the emotional energy nor the time to make an effort to resolve it. Jamie, the customer service rep kept rxcapating the situation
I had difficulty understanding Jamie, with a strong accent. He also kept repeating, "I understand", but clearly, he did NOT. I stated that "I understand' was probably cultural in India. He informede he was NOT from India. Then I realized his accent was Hispanic. I told him i did NOT appreciate being told "I understand". He told me I was discriminatory. He may be a US citizen and culturally aware of the US, however, "I understand" is poor Customer service and I was giving me an escape. Again, he repeated that I was discriminatory.
I find him discriminatory, if we're going to use that card. As a physically disabled adult in the process of moving, he / PayPal could provide a reasonable accommodation for a legitimate charge.
Don't expect much from Pay Pal customer service. Fraudulent charges take great effort by their customers. Now, I'm a former customer.
I use PayPal infrequently but will stop because I was charged 25% sales tax from a seller and PayPal would do nothing but tell me to mail in my documents. I did and they still didn't care. I made a clear case of overcharging on the taxes. Who ever heard of 25% sales tax not even disclosed on the paperwork until after payment on the email confirmation?
I use Paypal quite a bit, have rarely filed a claim, but did so two weeks ago. Fedex claimed that a package was delivered to me, on 8/18 at 1:15pm. They also claim that the same package was delivered to me on 8/18 at 5:51 pm! There was no package. We looked everywhere, checked with the neighbors, etc. I filed a claim with Paypal, the claim was eventually denied because Fedex had "proof" of delivery. If you track the package and click on "proof of delivery" you see a page that basically says, "Yeah, we delivered it, yes indeedy doody!" No photo, no signature, just a "delivered" status entered by a Fedex driver. Well guess what? Fedex drivers will mark packages as "delivered" or "out for delivery" before they even are, to "save time". Some drivers deliver to the wrong address, and some will STEAL packages and mark them "delivered". Given my lack of filing claims with Paypal, and given the small amount that I was asking for in this instance ($70) I don't understand why Paypal didn't side with me. I was home when the alleged delivery was made, I went to our door just minutes after the alleged delivery at 1:15pm, there was no package. Hey - maybe Paypal uses Fedex for all of its shipping needs so they scratch each other's backs! Chances are, Paypal is SWAMPED with claims against Fedex (even Amazon dropped it because of how overall lousy it is) so this is Paypal's way of cutting losses - even when a refund to the customer is JUSTIFIED.
I would highly recommend not wasting your time with this app I never use my account only when send me money so I haven't used it in over a year and they tried to charge me $499.69 for bitcoin that I never did it, was hell to figure out the a solution then when I tried to close my account they kept giving me the run around...

PayPal the worst company that ever existed I had to deal with. They're thieves and keep all your personal information and won't let you remove your credit cards or close your account. The worst customer service ever too! They're not helpful at all
I was charged a fee for GrubHub that I didn't make. PayPal resolution said it is not an unauthorized charge. NO REFUND! I don't even have a GrubHub account!
You judge a company by how they react when things go wrong PayPal or a bunch of crooks and thieves do not use them blacklist them
I asked paypal for a refund for a purchase I have not receive for over 18 months. Paypal declined a refund due to transaction over 180 days. I contacted the vender "Boost Surf" and they refund my purchse amount of $508.00 back to paypal. Paypal says they refunded $508.00 back to Boost Surf not to my credit card. Thay refuse to correct their mistake and offered my $100.00 credit as a token of good faith. IDIOTS! Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH paypal! They are shady, and will not correct their mistakes. Now I am out $508.00 because of the PayPal service. THEY SUCK! (On website & tele. Hold for hours)
Have been trying to get a refund on a card purchased as a gift for 6months refuse to return money. Keep getting run around.
God damn this is getting me extremely $#*!ing frustrated just let me have my money back on my bank account i have a $#*!ing checking account
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
