I was interested in seeing how online eye ware compares to the traditional speedy way via an optical business. So I used my latest prescription from my ophthalmologist who I see because of glaucoma issues, and purchased a pair form Payne and a pair from a local reputable optical business. The price difference was about 10:1, optical business vs Payne. The optical business provided the personal interaction expected with price grabbers like special lens material, coatings, etc. I'm elderly, balding and reading-challenged. I wanted rimless with transition bifocals. Some of the online providers didn't do rimless. That's mostly why I landed with Payne. I bought the return insurance and I had to use it with once. That was because I measured the pupillary distance myself and I didn't get it right. The second time I asked the opthalmologist for the measurement. Not I have the second Payne incarnation and I am generally satisfied. They need some adjustment of the nose tabs and I'm not sure whether I should do that or go to the optical business. I also have the spendy pair by now, which I wear as my primary glasses. In closing I wish to say that I'm generally impressed with Payne's work. I think I would recommend them to someone who needs prescription glasses without bifocals. That might be a slam dunk. I'll need a good while to test my Payne pair vs my speedy pair because I'm dealing with two sets of bifocals.

I like the variety of frames and cool colors, quality of glasses are nit the best as it gets finger print or oily easily but compared to price and what size paid, I love them. I can match with different attires and colors.
