I am new to Paula Young wigs, but I decided to order two of the 100% hand-tied wigs, both Sheer Mystic, one in Java Swirl and one in Medium Ash Brown. They were shipped very quickly (I think the same day), and I qualified for free shipping. The price was incredibly good for a hand-tied cap. I really like both of these. One thing I particularly appreciate, from what I've been able to tell in just the short time I've been browsing, is they have more ash, neutral or cool browns than the other brands I'm familiar with. It's normally very hard to find a brunette that doesn't either have a bunch of gold or red in it. That's my experience, at least. Likewise, they have some beautiful grays (my favorite being the Silvery Moon). I anticipate ordering more from Paula Young. My hair is quite thin due to cancer treatments, and so I really appreciate the Paula Young site for affordable options. I don't think the model I ordered is heat friendly, and that's fine with me. I order a wig for the style, and I'm not really interested in changing that, nor am I skilled at doing so.
The wig is NOT average size, but smaller and yet they're charging me $20 to exchange it! Shisters!
BUYERS BEWARE! If you buy a wig from Paula Young Wigs:
1. When buying a wig and paying extra for expedited shipping you will not get it within 3 business days more like 5-6 days.
2. If you return an item not only does it take over 3 weeks to receive your refund, but they charge almost 30.00 to process a refund. The shipping label alone is 10.00. DO NOT BUY!
I ordered 2 wigs. One was not the color I ordered. I returned it without trying it on. I mailed it back immediately with all paperwork. I called after 5 weeks wait.
First they claimed I didn't send paperwork with it. I disputed that so she said they don't refund sale wigs. She said instead I have a credit of $24.00 and I must order to get that! The wig was over $35.00 with tax.
I won't order again and they have the new wig that I returned and they stole my money!

I received an email that says $20 off each wig plus free shipping. I called to see why when I went to check out there was a $12.99 charge for shipping. According to the girl who I spoke to. She said you have to spend over $60 to get free shipping. That is not stated in their ad. I have been a long time customer, but I will start looking for other wigs stores to purchase from.
I purchased a wig that arrived to me turned inside out and without a net…if needing to return a wig, return instructions require the net…so, no net and inside out; the wig "hair" stuck straight up in the bangs area and also on top…not at all like the image of the wig…I contacted customer service and was told some wigs are turned inside out to protect them during shipping….not true with this wig at all…that made no sense whatsoever…I believe it was a coverup because I was sent a wig that had been returned by someone else and deemed defective…I asked that I not be charged for shipping back to them when I return the wig, but was denied…what the customer service person did was post in the email their return policy…as in; customer pays shipping…very unacceptable the wig I received…not to mention the horrible customer service.
My mom bought a hair piece and now her bank account is charged a monthly fee. Called customer service and they claim they have no record of her being charged. We have called and wrote letters, no change. Going to report them to the Oregon attorney general's office (bbb) for fraud.
I've bought wigs from Paula with no problem but that all change since December. I sent the wig back because it looked so fake with so much hair still haven't received my money back in fact they tried charging my card an additional 32.40 but I put a stop to that right away so lucky I called today. I paid 59.66 with tax and shipping (which was suppose to be free) and the additional amount they were trying to charge was suppose to be refunded as of today no refunded but was told it take 24-48 hours. I then ordered a wig on Jan 15 and paid for expedited delivery and as of today the 19th have not received it. I called and was told it was because of the post office it's going to be late. I will NEVER EVER buy another wig from them again! They're a bunch of rip offs and I really do think that they should close their business down!
I I have used this company for years. I have always been very well pleased, however, they advertise free shipping over the holidays.The shipping is not free they charge a delivery surcharge for staging. I have no idea what staging is but I have a feeling that's the shipping price. They also charge extra for something called P&H. My $39 wig became 59.17!
Bought two "Daisy" wigs. Nothing like previous buys. Hair too thin and texture too fine.I have loved this wig but this is the second time I have been disappointed. Will not buy again until it goes back to the way it used to be.
I ordered a $15.99 ponytail hairpiece. My end cost was $29.96. It did not match my hair, plus it took over 2 weeks to receive it. I then requested a color swatch, another 2 weeks to receive it. It did not help me to figure out how to select a hairpiece to match my hair. It will cost me $11 plus postage to return it. I may get $10 refunded, if even that much. Easier to just throw it away. I can see why the reviews are less than 2 stars. Don't waste your time or money. My order no. Is Y*******013, in case you think I'm just making up this review.
I ordered couple of wigs and 2 other products to reach the minimum for their free shipping code they offered. But when I received the order and saw invoice I was still charged for shipping. I called customer service and they claim I never entered the code for free shipping and they can not do anything about that now. That is CHEATING! I added an item just to meet their shipping criterion. I remember code was applied. I didn't take screenshot to prove it to them later. Who would imagine a company could cheat you like this! After that I looked for their reviews and found that I am not the only one with this issue. It has happened to other people too.
I oder the same style every single time, and the same color. Every time the style is different, and the color is different! It's completely frustrating! It's maddening. It's too expensive to return them! I'm done with Paula Young wigs.
I live in Canada. I ordered two identical wigs. One wig was what I ordered. The other was completely different. They made me pay to return it, otherwise I would not get the right wig. I was told I would get my money back for shipping. They lied. I was given a 'merchandise credit' instead. Although they did eventually send me the right wig, I do not wish to buy another wig from them, but I doubt I will ever see my $22 again. They are complete ripoff artists, overcharging for so-called 'extra' taxes plus shipping. There is never any 'free shipping' to Canada. Plus they took away an extra $10 off that I had from an offer, and informed me they didn't. I have proof from paypal that they added it onto my bill, but they deny it. I have been a good customer for many years. But I'm sick of them ripping me off every way they can. And, I do not trust them to send me the right wig anymore.

I didn't need another wig. Paula Young sent me an email offering a buy one-get one (bogo) promotion. That was a good deal. When I went to order it, if I put in a quantity of 2 it doubled my balance due. I put in the correct promo code (twice) and re-booted. Same deal. I thought maybe they would just send me 2 since the promo code made it clear I wanted to use the bogo offering. I just knew I would get one delivered. And i was right. I called their very unhelpful customer service person who kept apologizing for my inconvenience but wouldn't listen to me. It was a computer glitch on their end. She told me the promo had expired and there was no way to help me unless I wanted to place another order. She kept asking me if I had the original email and promo code. I told her I was severing all future dealings with her company.
I put an order in for a family member. She had no debit or credit card. I used mine. They needed to call the bank and have a conference call with them and me because my card did not match her address. They were rude as well. I told them forget the $300 purchase. They lost my business.
Bought Sheer Elite Hand-Tied WhisperLite® Lace Front Wig by Couture Collection. I cannot wear it because the hair is falling out. Not shedding because I am covered in hair every time, I touch the wig. There is more bald area on this wig than my own head. I did my research about care of wigs etc prior to buying, so I did use all the right things. The wig is useless, I cannot use it. I called the robotic customer service who vomited out the same BS over and over. It cannot be returned nor exchanged regardless of if it is defective. I also got charged for elite that I did not authorize/nor wanted. I had to call the robotic C/S to be cancelled and refunded by check in the mail. So I am stuck with this horrible wig, I can not afford to buy another. I will continue to spread the word as if I had saw the other reviews prior to buying I would never have ordered. I will bash this company on every social medica site, BBB, and any other way I can. What a horrible, corrupt, dishonest, rotten company
Orders are shipped quickly and I have received one wig (like the picture) in last month. Returns/exchanges are supposed to be 3-10 day turnaround once in the warehouse, but are closer to 3/4+ weeks. Expert assistance in customer service is not avail; calling a few times provided the same, "I don't know" when asking about a product. Customer service email is polite and professional, however, unable to assist. Last wig arrived without net and not clipped in box (assumed a previous return and not quality-checked). Level of service is disappointing.
It's a challenge ordering a wig or topper bec. You have to wait to receive it and then try it on. Most often it will need to be exchanged for a different style or color change. With PAULA YOUNG if you need to return your wig they DO NOT give you a choice of credit towards another wig or refund. You only receive partial credit towards another wig. I've used them twice and both times it was a disaster. Since they're rated 38 on the list of wig companies I think I'll just go ahead with another company with much better reviews! I'm done. Customer is a nightmare!
One month after receiving my $114.00 wig one layer of the bangs fell off. Customer service told me to just sew them back on, no offer for exchange or refund. I can't believe they don't stand behind the product. I asked to be put through to a supervisor but hung up after 20 minutes.
Answer: Cannot answer as I have not as yet received anything. Their products and service were good years ago, but it appears that is now a thing of the past.
