I went on partsdr.com and searched for a stove-top burner
Element since mine became defective. After a few minutes, I
Found a listing with a picture of the exact burner I needed. The model
Number and image matched mine at home. I placed the order
And even purchased the extra insurance. Fast forward, and the
Item arrived. It did NOT look anything like I ordered. Different
Part number, design, and look. I contacted the company and
Spoke with a "Chris." He told me the product was updated and
Would not accept a return unless I paid for shipping and a
Restocking fee. This is a classic bait and switch. I ordered the part I
Needed and was sent something else.
HORRIBLE return policy. First they claim no hassle returns but the fine print is basically you cannot get your money back. If you try to return a product installed or not, they arbitrarily say that its 'been inspected', that it has been installed then you either have to pay AGAIN to have it shipped back or they will just keep it. No refund.
I had to order a replacement pump motor for my 1 year old Frigidaire dishwasher. I went to the PartsDr website which is really easy to navigate and found the exact part for my dishwasher, and was able to confirm it would fit using their "Does it fit my model" utility.
I received an email the same day confirming the part had been dispatched along with a Fedex tracking number.
Two days later I received the pump which was identical to the failed one I had removed. I fitted the pump and it worked perfectly.
I would highly recommend this company and would certainly use them again if needed.
BEWARE PartsDr.com DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. I was sent a part that was supposed to fit my Whirlpool oven. The part number was correct except by the last number. I hired an appliance company to install the part, it did not work. I contacted PartsDr.com they sent me the same part with the same result. I asked to return the part and they said that since the part was already opened and installed they will not accept a return. How are you supposed to know if the part works without having it installed? Just trust them? Well my $246 purchase for a part that didn't work and I cannot return just gave me that answer. Don't make the same mistake, go with a company that will stand by the product they sell.
Edit: after lots of back and forth, the company finally agreed to refund my purchase
They sent me the wrong part in a box with the correct pn on it. Refuse to accept the return without making me jump through all sorts of hoops. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE\
See pictures what I ordered and what they sent. NOT EVEN CLOSE
Our Thermador Grand commercial range would not work, noting blower fan issue. Called for service and nobody could come out until after the holidays, so I located the blower fans on Thermadors site and ordered from PartsDr on a Thursday. Paid to receive by Monday and they showed up on Friday. They were exact Bosch oem replacements. Biggest pain was pulling the range all the way out from cabinets, then removed star screws on top of exhaust vent and screws on the back of range cover. There's then 2 screws on each exhaust fan covers (accessed from back of unit with cover off). Then 2 screws on either side of the fans (access from top of unit).
The parts themselves are oem, the plugs looked bent, but you'll quickly find out this is intentional, as that's how it is to plug the cables to them. Whole job took about 1 hour for both fans and now the range is working again. Had a great experience from partsdr and highly recommend them. The key is to know exactly the part you are looking for. They have lookup, but I'd find the part number from manufacture schematic and then order.
Thanks partsdr!
Best prices around not like every other company trying to rape the consumer. I wish other company's wouldn't inflate the prices.
The first picture is of a element that i received notice the crack had to accept it because of the time line. All due to packaging. Ordered a W******* look it up and you can see a touch pad control panel, but the part i received had no touch panel sent pictures and they still couldn't figure that out Wow what a bunch of idiots. Sent pictures of what i received and told them to compare to there picture on their site but when dealing with stupid there's no hope. Just be prepared for a hassle I was now under the gun for the part and paid about $100 more else where overnight for it. Arrived no problem. The other part arrived damaged but still used it. What a bunch of f...n idiots
I bought a part for my refrigerator which turned out to be the wrong part. I was never able to return the part since they would not send me a return authorization. I finally just cut my losses and threw the part away.
I ordered a part from their website after having entered my model number and been given the part to order based off that information. Shipping was double what the part even cost, but I needed it so I had to pay it. When it arrived, it was the wrong thing. I contacted customer service and asked for help finding the right thing. All they sent me was return instructions, which incidentally stated that I was responsible for return shipping costs AND a 5% restocking fee, and did not acknowledge helping me find the new part. So, I asked again to help me. They sent me a diagram of my microwave and had me pick out the part number from that diagram. When I sent back the part number, they said "sorry it's discontinued and we can't get it". (Time to update your website maybe?)
I asked for at least the $5 part refund since the website told me to order the wrong part, but they wouldn't budge. Based on the BBB complaints, they really do not give one rats a** about their customers, only stealing their money. So my suggestion to you is, be VERY sure you order the right part and pray there's nothing wrong with it when it gets to you. The have the WORST customer service I've ever experienced.
Ordered a replacement rack for dishwasher that lasted 16 years before rusting. New one started rusting less than 1.5 years of use.
Received a damaged part. PartsDr makes it difficult by design to return an item. I wish I would have read reviews before using their site. Plenty of other similar appliances shops.
They sent me the wrong freezer sensor cable and would not accept it back for refund or even exchange, never buy from this company again, very dissatisfied!?
Buyer BEWARE PartsDr.com DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS if box opened, nor if part was actually tried; unclear how a consumer is suppose to know if the part works without trying it; after all their site states in multiple places it's for the DIY repair.
They sell directly to the consumer for DIY, following their videos my issue came down to two possible parts, based on their video troubleshooting I ordered the most likely part based on their troubleshooting videos, turned out to be the 2nd part which is higher price. Although no electricity passed though the control panel, no screws used, it simply snaps in place, because it was snapped in place the company policy DOES NOT ALLOW RETURNS, at $185 and I might add the replacement part #2 is higher priced at $212.57 plus tax and shipping and I simply was trying to return towards the 2nd higher priced part minus the 5% restocking fee. It's an expensive lesson, strong recommendation is to by-pass PartsDr.com and use a different company that actually support their customers.
