I had an idea to give my wife an oil painting as a Christmas gift. It was of one our wedding photos (we just got married this year). Paint Your Life looked like a great company to go through. I placed the order on 11/07. Everything seemed to be going fine and the painting looked good. I made the final payment on 11/15 and they gave me an estimated delivery date of 11/23. I was really pleased. Thanksgiving came and went, it was one week after the estimated delivery date and I still did not get an update. At this time, I know that the supply chain was having troubles so I was understanding. I spoke with customer service and they told me that they would talk to the logistics team. Another week goes by and I still haven't heard anything about my order. I have to reach out again on 12/08 regarding the status. I was told the same thing as before; they will contact the logistics team and "shipping procedures should begin very soon." To their credit, they did offer me a partial refund. Christmas comes and goes, I had to do some traveling so I was hoping that it would arrive when I returned from my trip. No painting, no update. I have to reach out a third time on 12/30 and was told the same thing; the logistics department will be contacted. Did they take my money and run? I had to talk myself out of the idea that this company was a scam. Once I made final payment, I stopped receiving updates from the company. It was up to me to constantly reach out only to be told the same thing. 4 days later on 01/03, I finally get an update that the artist was unable to ship out my portrait. I was supposed to replace the order picking a new artist. I should have known better and asked for a full refund. I go through the process again of placing an order. Estimated delivery date is 01/15. Of course I don't get it until 01/21. The painting was fine. I would have preferred the original. It's hard for me to enjoy the painting because of the company's incompetence that stole the moment away from my wife and me as she opened it on Christmas. Instead, I didn't get it until almost two months after the estimated delivery. I am pretty understanding but I couldn't help but get frustrated when weeks would pass by without any sort of update. I don't know why it took over a month and half to figure out a solution, especially considering I brought this to their attention multiple times. This is a poor reflection on the company and there is no way I would recommend them.
The ability to add picture together, revise them, update them, and then approve makes the process so much easier. The picture is absolutely beautiful and we love it.

Don't do it. To start this off I tried for over a week to get ahold of them and now they wanna act like it's a robot messaging. When I got to talk to someone on Facebook they deleted my comments so people didn't know.
I specifically asked for a artist that was not cartoony. I wanted something like they advertise. Like a actual picture. But nope. It's very cartoony does not look anything like the picture they sent me to approve at all. After I finally paid for it they dropped all communication. The person I talked to on Facebook now acts like a robot. But that's how I was talking to someone with any questions I had and they got back to me fast and it was a person. The robot keeps saying they don't understand what I'm trying to say. I have reached out through their web page emails phone number Facebook their Facebook group.

It's unfortunate that they pretend these are actually hand painted. They print the image on canvas then have an "artist" add a few strokes to make it appear authentic. I believe in transparency, so should you.
I am highly disappointed in this company. The customer service is awful! They promise promise and promise and still something doesn't ship on time. I order over a month ago and still don't have my painting that was a Christmas gift! For WEEKS 8 I followed and contacted customer service to ensure my package was on time. Every time I was not only told different things but I was also told "don't worry it will be there on time" Finally I demanded to speak with a supervisor, she promised me she has put in 3 day shipping and my package will be here on a certain date. She ensured me she would follow my package to make sure personally it gets out on time and email me the tracking info. She emailed me the next day and NO it didn't ship out on time STILL. And she didn't follow it out the door. Next phone call was from the MANAGER, who had the audacity to tell me that I needed to contact Fedex to have my package expedited. Furious that as a customer I had to go out of my way, I did and was only told I couldn't do anything about it because I wasn't the shipper. I told the manager this more than once and she did NOTHING. I wish I could say I'll order from this company again, I wish I could say that this was an amazing experience but it wasn't, it was pure awful and I will never order here again. Because here I am, still with no package.

I bought one time a portrait for my close friend with his wife in last year. The work was cool, and they did like it. But as I'm an artist too, I saw a little bit of mistakes in the art. I paid back in November because I got an offer for a portrait and paid for the express shipping. I had to go back and fourth with the artist, never once was I told that I had a deadline to meet to receive the photo in time. Today, get an email that my photo won't get here till 12/29/21, no help from customer service and there is no one in charge! Thx for screwing up the gift!

Answer: They advertise that you can send them photos of people now past. They advertise these large paintings with beautiful frames being unpackaged. It is a lie. I started my order on November 10 and it took three months to complete. First because they would not sell me a large canvas like they show on their website. Secondly because they no longer sell anything except the smallest frames; yet the continue to advertise and list prices as if they do. Multiple email and phone calls resulted in no honesty from these people. If they had just come out and said "We don't sell those sizes of paintings and frames anymore" I could have moved on. After 60 days your money is their money even if you have nothing to show for it. You are expected to know their jobs better than they themselves do and act accordingly. Phone calls are outsourced to a call center out-side of the U.S. The people answering are nice, respectful and do a great job at making think there is no problem. At the end of the phone call, you feel better and NOTHING has changed. I finally received my painting in a tube. I did not get what I paid for and am unable to easily find a company that will frame original artwork for less than a few hundred dollars. I cannot hang my painting; it is in a closet. They advertise large frame and list prices but they do not sell them. You CANNOT buy what they advertise! In fairness the artiest did a wonderful job. It is the lies of the company that prompted me to report them to the BB and every online site I can and will find both private and governmental in nature. Don't let these people steal from you.
