Optima Tax Relief

Note that all those who helped along the way did a great Job, but in the outcome of the solution i thought by those commercials you have on the TV i would be able to get a better reduction on the taxes i owe, but that was not the case.
As per Optima, the rules are needed to be following IRS guidelines and i did not Qualify as i understood, but again i thought that i would get a better deal, when i asked Optima representative i was told that Optima states in the fine line that Optima is not responsible in the final word from the IRS, all is understood, but i will have to pay more that 30k in 72 months, so this is only issue i had with Optima, every thing else was good.

Agents don't have a clue of what they're supposed to do!

From the start to the final step optima tax maintained ggreat communication. Also they proved to be able to help no matter how bad the circumstances. I will continue to use them for all tax needs.

This company is the biggest scam. I paid this company $2900 to not do anything with my case but build up interest and offer unrealistic resolutions. Save yourself time and money and do not go with this company. I will tell you what their services provide. For $299 they will tell you how much you owe the IRS, this is something I already knew but they felt the need to bill me for the information. They then billed me $2600 to find a resolution. This resolution took them 10 months, and, in the end, it was me calling them that got answers. I was refunded $400 due to their negligence with my POA (they lost the document twice) and the way they handled my case. The resolution steps for them are ridiculous, they wanted me to agree to $400 monthly payments (which I cannot afford) and insisted this was the minimum the IRS would except. I did not agree, and they closed my case and kept all my money. They did not file my taxes as I filed my own before ever contacting them, they found no resolution for me. I contacted the IRS after my phone call with the "supervisor" and was able to work out an installment plan for $225 and got some fees waived on my own. It took one week after I had already contacted the IRS and Optima called me to see if I was ready to proceed. I let them know I had found a cheaper resolution and that the Optima reps were giving incorrect information that is very important. The supervisor from Optima tax said and I quote" if the IRS gave you a better deal than what we offered there is nothing we can do". Why are we paying Optima then? They clearly are not advocates for the customer and want to do no leg work. If I am paying you to speak to the IRS and giving you POA then what is going on here? They had no answers for me but to close my case. I let them know I would be leaving reviews in hope of saving someone money (IRS interest and Optima fees), time and the headache that comes with dealing with shady companies. If I could give negative stars I would. This company has BBB+ rating please don't let that fool you, that's how they got me.

I owed a good amount of money to the IRS. My coworker referred me to contact Optima and I was so relieved after speaking with them. My case was handled and Optima stopped the threatening letters.

When I first called optima tax they gave me someone to talk to we walked through it you said don't worry you're in good hands now nobody's going to be able to do anything to you will taking good care of you now and I had a lot of stress come right off my shoulders and then when optima tax called me and said we settled everything is all set you owe them nothing and they owe you money so I'm waiting on the IRS but that's okay but
Optima tax is the best if I could give you a 10 star rating but again optima tax is the best and if anybody asks me who do I call to get help cuz I got the IRS chasing me I tell them call optima tax they will help you walk you through it and take a lot of stress off your shoulders thank you optima tax sincerely Robert paolino

I contacted Optima after hearing the glowing reviews on the radio. I enlisted their help in resolving my tax issues, this was in Feb. 2018. The case manager was very friendly on the phone and things seemed to be going OK for awhile.
I became concerned as time went on as i felt my case was not moving fast enough. Eventually i decided to buy a new home as i had always wanted. In Sept. 2019 i received notice the IRS was going to file a tax lien on me. I kept sending in my tax notices to my case manager and kept being reassured that everything was OK. Two weeks prior to my home closing the IRS filed court lien papers against me. I could not close with a lien against me. Now Optima had to scramble to make a deal so i could get the lien removed so i could buy my home. This resulted in me paying 24K on the spot to lift the lien and to make payment arrangements to pay another 12K
Over time to settle my case. My case from start to completion with Optima took 1 year 9 months and did not save me a single penny. I had to spend my down payment money paying the IRS to remove the lien and taking money from my 401K just to be able to purchase my home. This was an unbelievably stressful period of time. I would not wish this experience on anyone.

They did absolutely nothing but make me chase documents, and more documents, WASTE OF 5K! I spent a year working with OPTIMA, BOTTOM LINE NO RELIEF!
