I called to get help because I couldn't get into my online account. The customer service agent was rude, short, and impatient. Unbelievable!

Set up an acct with my own money. Re: Secured I Know. They charged me an annual fee that they never told me about. No mail, no email, no calls. $35 fee turned into $65 and severely damaged my credit by 30 points for an annual fee for a card i only had a few months Called and talked to " Ken" in customer service. Not only was he not helpful he never asked me if i would like to pay down the money they stole from me.

So my credit score just went down 100 points because it open sky lies I've never been late on my payments but these last 2 payments I've made has been posted but never came out my bank account so I feel like they are holding the money

My credit score went from 600 to 411 after they hit me with an annual fee as soon as I activated the card, I wasn't actively using the card and was unaware of this fee which eventually turned into a 30 day late fee, then a 60 day late fee, then a 90 day, then a closed account, all of which was reported to a credit bureau which tanked my score over 180 points, all because of a $30 fee. Again I NEVER USED THE CARD ONCE DURING ALL OF THIS. Now I'm in a situation where I need to rent an apartment and my applications are getting automatically rejected due to poor credit score.

The card was easy to get and pay for. You can use a debit card to OPEN the account and it's true you don't have to have a traditional bank account to be approved. HOWEVER, you DO have to have a traditional bank account to PAY your bill. It does not accept any debit card unless it's associated with a traditional account and does not accept payments from online banks such as Chime. Leaving many people with the only option of mailing in payments. They also take up to a week to post your payment so if your due date is say, the 11th, you need to mail out the payment by the first of the month to be sure to make the due date.
They also run a month behind in credit reporting.
On the upside they seem to have upgraded their customer service and I was able to get a live operator by pushing 0 at the end of the recorded message. I still don't know why the 800 number is associated with a debt collection company on Google but it is what it is.
Overall it's an ok service. Could be great if they accepted any kind of payment method but they don't. So if you get the card just be aware that the method you used to open the account may not be accepted when you pay your bill on the account. Which is why I will be closing it.

I NEVER EVEN USED THIS CARD and it somehow damaged by credit score by over 100 pts. Paid the deposit 6 months ago, never got a card in mail, never activated a card, realize later on when I want a new card that it says I have over $150 in 'late payments.' FOR WHAT? I paid the deposit and never used the card so how can I owe money? WTF is wrong with you people?

Do not touch this company. They give you BS charges even if you never used the card. Telling my bank to deny the deposit charge and $#*! these animals.

Had the card nearly two years never late always paid more than the minimum. Got one lousy $100 increase make a payment before due date thru my bank as ach which sends paper check and they didn't have it in their hand they slapped a late fee on my account immediately even before due which fell on a non business day they also claim that if you pay at least the minimum on they move you from secured to unsecured account that won't happen either. They make all of these claims and follow through on none. And tell you write them letters to and ask, then they say they never got any request. Try for a card that would match your deposit and truly work with you to re-establish your credit score or at minimum improve on it.

The worse!. I cant wait to close my account and go with First Progress. I will start with the amount of time it takes to report to the credit bureau. It has been almost 2 months and they have not reported yet which I think is completely ridiculous. When i had my First Progress card it was reported within a few weeks. Second the hold time to speak to a rep and amount of time it takes them to credit your account after payments is horrible! Then when the reps finally get on the line they havent a clue whats going on and all give misinformation.

All in all it has been a disaster dealing with them. It has not helped at all and I definitely would not recommend!

So I receive paper statements from Open sky which is where they notified me that my $38 annual fee was going to be posted on my account so by the time I had gotten it I had already spent money on the card which of course put me over 30% of my credit usage which resulted in my credit score dropping 4pts with 2 credit bureaus and 6 pts with another. When I called in the initial Service agent could not help me so she escalated me to the rudest woman that I have ever spoken to. I have no clue how she was ever promoted to supervisor. She did not help AT ALL and proceeded to talk to me like I was an idiot. Needless to say I will be paying them off and canceling this card immediately. Don't bother with open sky. Using them to build your credit is counter productive. If you wanna build Your credit use Self. They took my credit from 4 (yes it was really 4) to 722 which as you will see in the photo I provided went down to 718 thanks to open sky. Self is amazing and once you make enough payments on time they offer you their credit building credit card which has a way better app that keeps your credit score posted and your payments don't take a week to process.

I called to ask them about my credit limit and also about their app. The first rep just transferred me without letting me know. The next rep didn't know the answer and couldn't explain to me why the payment that was due and my credit balance didn't add up. I kept trying to tell them it didn't add up. It was clear as day in their face! So finally I was able to speak to a supervisor, but the supervisor couldn't explain either. They need to hire people who have experience, people that can add, and that can actually help the customers.

They closed my card due to no activity then never bothered to refund me my deposit. Now no one can help me when I call. This is the worst company and I would NEVER IN LIFE do business with them or any affiliate companies.

They locked my account from online access and removed my reoccurring payment so a fee built up on my card that I wasn't aware of. I didn't spend ANY money on the card but get a bill for $120, Customer Service is very rude.
This card is a scam to steal your money, avoid at all cost.

My experience with OpenSky has been nothing but positive! I have seen good results on my credit reports and my scores are quickly increasing at Transunion and Equifax. Improvement at Experian is a bit slower but getting better. Payments are posted on my account within 2 days. I have increased my secured credit limit and was also approved for a 2nd OS secured card.
I will continue to increase until I reach the amount I desire.

They took my deposit from a debit card which i get my disablity payment from. I made a payment which they took but then reversed because it wasnt from a bank. Its from the Federal government. I told them to cancel it. They keep charging me fees. I only spent MY MONEY. Classic bait and switch con

Wont pick up their phone or let you cancel your deposit since I don't want to be with them anymore for taking so long. 20 minutes & still counting on the phone. Gee thanks

I owed nothing and payed cash until my girlfriend and I needed a loan for a home, all we need was a 650. My lowest score was 616. Opensky had good reviews so I applied, got approved, and sent my $300.00 deposit.
Now for the next two months I was told my card was in the mail. Somehow the mail returned it so they say and again tell me to watch the mail for my new card, mean while they filed with all the credit reporting agency's that I was over 30 days late and owed $62.00.and a late fee of $38.00. Lowered my score to 529 from 616. They said they will correct the credit report, now it shows I am current but also past due. There is a better way, Self Inc. you make small pymt's each month into your savings and 3 months later you get a unsecured Card.
They report each month. $35 per month in savings and shows credit card and a loan payment history increased my score 50 points to 579 in 90 days. As a authorized user my Girlfriend score went up 70 points from my Self lender account. My total cost so far was $24 fees and $125 in savings. Opensky failed to issue me a credit card and went out of their way to burn my credit so they get ONE STAR.

They dont have a way to ask for help. Their number is useless. I set up automatic payments, and it didn't even work. It will make your credit worse if you arent careful.
