The leading high end feel at the drugstore. Nyx makes one of my favorite gel eyeliners and I would be truly lost without their unique formulas.
Products are very comparable to higher end products! You'll barely tell a difference as to which brand you're actually using
I ordered 5 products from this company. 2 out out of 3 eyeshadows were crumbled because they were not properly packaged. In the past week I have attempted to call their customer service 4 times without an answer. They obviously do not have enough people working. Each time I am told by an automated system everyone is busy, I will recieve a call back etc. I also tried email through the contact form on their website with no reply after 3 days. I regret ordering from their site and wish I had just ordered their products through another retailer.
NYX Cosmetics customer service is nonexistent. I tried calling them for one week with no success. I would call their number and be put on hold and am told, after 20 minutes waiting, to call back later... they are too busy with other customers. I call back and am asked if I want to receive a callback. I say yes. I get a callback saying that they are too busy with other customers and I should call again. This is unacceptable. I must have called 10 times, asking for a callback. Never was able to talk with anyone all week... and it was about placing an order!
I wanted to buy their new line of liquid suede lipsticks online. They were sold out for MONTHS. I emailed them a while ago to ask if they were coming back in stock, or if they had been limited edition. They never replied. I also asked them on facebook. They never replied. 10/10 customer service. Now SOME (not all!) of the lipsticks are back in stock and I don't even feel like buying them anymore. I'm sure the quality is great. The customer service is just nonexistent.
I purchased several lipsticks from them, from their Wicked Lippies, Macaron Lippies, and Extra-Creamy Round Lipsticks lines, and I love all of them. The Wicked and Macaron lippies were $6 each and the Round Lipsticks were $4 each. They have a wonderful range of colors from your basics (reds, pinks, nudes) to wild (blues, greens, bold metallics) and something to suit every skin tone from pale porcelain to deep dark brown. Shipping time was fair, and I have not used their customer service.
I love all the eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes I've purchased, use them all the time. Love the Roll On Eye Shimmer for fast and easy on the go. Just for fun I tried there bright Blue Color Mascara it was great, bold color lasted all day. I used there Concealer Jar in Green to help mask redness or blemishes under my foundation and it works great, price is much better than other brands. I bought The Curve black liquid eyeliner, the concept is awesome, it fits perfectly in your hand and is easy to apply, but for the price tag it not worth all the hype. The Curve is to expensive for too little product, I only used it a few times and it ran out. I could buy several other brands of liner for the price on one of these and get the same results, practice makes perfect and saves you money! Otherwise I've loved every product I've bought from them... and I can't wait to buy there Wicked Lippies and Butter Gloss in the awesome colors they have... I've been dying to try them :)
I purchased 5 products from NYXcosmetics.com. 4 of them were sealed, but 1 lipstick was not. I called their customer service and was told that ALL of their online products are unused, and some items are not sealed. Well, I ordered 2 lipsticks, why would 1 be sealed but 1 not? I just found that didn't sit right. The rep told me to send them a photo of it, but didn't tell me what they were going to do about it: replace it? Have me send the unsealed product back? It was rather vague and he insisted that it was unused so it seemed as if the company did not deem it an issue. I wasn't in the mood to go through all the hoops, it was less than $5 and I could use alcohol and a napkin to wipe off the outer layer to be safe (although messy and ruined the look of the lipstick). But, then I keep getting upset whenever I use that lipstick, and then it struck me: Why would a company RUIN my purchase experience and make me do extra work to ensure good hygiene? If I ever want NYX makeup again, I will just go to CVS from now on where I can CHOOSE a sealed item, and CVS often has sales too. The only reason I shopped online is because of a new product that just came out and sometimes CVS does not have the shade I want.
I ordered 4 prismatic eyeshadows from their US website as they were unavailable in the UK. With tax included it came up to $30.50 but since they do not deliver overseas, their company endorses MYUS.COM for all international shipping with the promise of free standard membership. This is well and good but the price of shipping by MyUs is extortionate and had ended up costing me $39.85. This means that it has cost me about $80 to purchase simple eyeshadow weighing 0.6lb. I find it outrageous that NYX would partner with such a shipping company. It appears that these two companies are complicit in suckering unsuspecting customers into this scam. In what world is it reasonable to spend over $80 for 4 eyeshadows.
I just thought I would let NYX know how much of a disservice they do to their international customers (or maybe they just don't care for them).
