I ordered a black 8 camera system which is enclosed in a metal housing. I got a cheap plastic camera set, have spent countless hours trying to get them to give me what I ordered. They say 100% satisfaction garentee, with a full refund. They are more busy trying to get me to try out the junk they sent.
DON'T TRUST NIGHT OWL SECURITY assurances! I Chatted with an associate of Nights Owl Security; before ordering! I asked about a specific video surveillance 'kit'! I was assured this would be a full kit (ready for use out of the box): "ALL our kits are complete!" I specifically asked if that kit came with (4) 100' Video Cables and was again assured this would be a FULL kit! The agent assured me that they would be in the kit; therefore, I ordered with the assurance that I would receive everything I needed! The shipping was delayed over a month and when the product arrived there was NO Video Cables, NO Power Adapters (for the cameras) & NO Monitor Cable!
This partial kit is unusable; it is incomplete and will cost more than the "kit" to get all the missing products!
Night Owl Security associates now claim that this 'KIT' is complete and they will not honor their assurances!
I placed an order with nightsowlsecurity.com, with a 10% discount code. After placing the order they got back to me and said they no longer had a 3TB system, but they had a 2TB. They said they would mail the 2TB and refund me $50 dollars for my "inconvenience". Which is the price difference (undiscounted). I went into the website/stayed in communication with the company for two days. The entire time the website said the 3TB was available (so they're still selling the 3TB). After a few emails and me ultimately asking for a refund, they stopped communicating with me altogether. I have called, and their number is "disconnected or busy" but I left a voicemail anyway. I have also gone online and opened new communication windows on their website as if I'm a new customer, to which they will respond. When I ask them about my order, they cease communication with me.
It's very frustrating to spend money on something you want, only to find out you get zero customer service and you don't get the product you order (even though it's still listed for sale on the website).
Poor communication and bad customer service overall. I can't speak to the product, as they haven't sent it out (ordered two weeks ago).
