NACA is a true organization. The personnel at NACA is amazing—they are extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Any family member or friend would receive my highest recommendation for NACA.
I've started the NACA process last year and they've been assisting me through the homebuyer process. I appreciate the individuals in place that has help me thus far.
I had my first homeowners session with NACA. The counselor was organized and knowledgeable. I am excited about this process and the community service that comes with you.
I am starting the process with NACA of becoming a 1st time homebuyer. I'm excited to begin the journey but the process is very long and time consuming.
Erna W. Is an AWESOME counselor! She was very helpful and friendly. I am very excited about my journey to becoming a homeowner! I am prepared and ready.
Erna W. Is indeed an outstanding counselor with a true passion for NACA's mission of Economic Justice. Great advice too! We wish you the best on your journey to homeownership!
The NACA program is a great program because it allows for an easy and more affordable way to buy a home. This program will also allow homeowners to continue to afford their mortgages by way of offering lower interest rate and the option to buy down their rate as well. NACA also has no money down, no closing const and not PMI. Nace will give you a counselor to work with who is knowledgeable about the NACA process and will help you along the way.

This program is great because it allows families to purchase a home and continue to afford the mortgage payments for years to come. For a lot of people, its hard to buy a home because they have to come up a down payment and closing cost which can be hard. With NACA, you do not have to pay a down payment or closing cost. The process may seem tedious, however it will be worth it in the end.
I just completed the first NACA workshop and I was encouraged and empowered to participate in this program! For the first time ever, home ownership is possible for me!
Kevin with NACA is very knowledgeable about the process. He has been very patient and helpful throughout the process. I recommend NACA to any first time home buyer..
My husband and I were apprehensive about becoming members of NACA. Being new at the home buying process and with so many scams out there we were not sure what to expect out of them or what they wanted from us. However, we decided to at least attend their virtual workshop and hear what they had to say. It was very inspirational. NACA explained their organization and its history, they services they offer, how the home buying process works and what will be required of us in order to obtain their counseling assistanct. The facilitators of the workshop answered all the questions asked, some more than once and stayed on the line until every received tehir completion information for the next step. By the end of the workshop, we were sure that we wanted to become a part of NACA. Since we have been in the process of obtaining and submitting all required documents; their website has a step-by-step checklist of all you need to do, which made it easy to stay on point. Whenever we needed to call, we were met with representatives who provided great advice to keep moving forward. We are just at the step of obtaining a counselor and are looking forward to becoming first-time home buyers. If you need help buying a home or refinancing; you may want to try NACA.
I'm optimistic about the Naca home buying program helping me to find a suitable home. There are many steps to this process that are explained to me by my counselor which helps me a lot

When first contacting this organization I thought things would be great. I met with my counselor and within 1 week all of the required documents had been uploaded. A few days later the counselor began asking questions about information that had already been submitted so I had to resubmit some of the items. This went on for about a month. Then for my 2nd counseling session the counselor had some technical issues and said that she would have to reschedule, but never did. When the time came for my counselor to submit all of my documents to underwriting 3 months had passed, only for underwriting to respond requesting documentation that was irrelevant. Things like, "Have him write a letter to explain why his driver's license address is different from his physical address." My former home address was on my license and this information had already been uploaded. There were about 6 more request that the underwriter requested similar to this. I explained to the counselor that the info was already in the system and it did not make sense to have to write all of these letters of explanation. After stating my opinion about the request, I never heard from my counselor again. I don't plan to renew my NACA membership, and I feel that this was a waist of time.
I'm currently working with NACA to get qualified for home ownership. So far the process has been smooth. My counselor is Scotisha Jordan and she has a warm and engaging personality. She's meticulous, patient, accommodating, takes her time to explain things in a way that I can clearly understand, and she TRIPLE CHECKS before we get off the phone to make sure we're on the same page.
The intake process itself is particularly detail orientated and it enables you to create and maintain personal habits that cause you to focus on improving your credit by monitoring and making necessary adjustments to your spending, saving and overall budgeting.
One thing I would ask the NACA Program to change is the credit check process. Although your credit score doesn't determine your qualification for a home, there is still a credit check that has to be done. This brought my credit score down by 53 points. This could be avoided by allowing the prospective homebuyer to print out their own score from Experian.com and submitting a detailed printout of their credit which is the same information that your counselor will see when they process a hard credit pull. I'm looking forward to my next (and hopefully last) intake before I get started with the loan processing part of the program.
I recently just joined Naca but I really appreciate the quality service and the welcoming environment. My counselor is Kevin and he is extremely helpful!
