I have seven fractional ownership in horses through MyRacehorse and a little disappointed in the fact that most, aside from PowerUp Paytner haven't raced. I knew the purchases would not yield any sort of ROI, but purchased for the love of the sport and personal interest in racing.
With this, my only complaint is the lack of races for the horses purchased. I realize the the Pandemic may have impacted the sport and the progression of horses but this is ridiculous since most of the horses are turning four (4) years old.
Investor beware.
My racehorse.com offers micro shares in their excellent quality, very expensive race horses. It's a GREAT concept. HOWEVER, Those who become " partners " in this micro stock share venture soon realize that the ONLY one who is making any money is the owners--MyRaceHorse, and Spendthrift Farms. One of their top horses finished third in a $ 300,000 race. What did the micro share " partners " make? 95 CENTS! This is their payout for a horse that's a major, top money maker. Just imagine what their payout would be for a horse that's NOT this great! At this rate it will take YEARS to show a profit. If you want to throw away your money then this is the place for you!
It is probably a fun and exciting way for those that have always dreamed of being involved in horse racing, but from the perspective of having owned, trained being involved with these Magnificent Equine Athletes, this is lack luster and almost impossible to get a ROI. The events are a lottery with thousands trying to be included and little time to travel if you don't know if you are included. Mrh gets 10% off the earnings after 10% Jockey/Trainer w/small incidentals, therefore you would have to have your horse earn close to a 1m depending on the shares sold and price to break even. My issue is I want to be involved, seeing my horse, trainer, jock and the backside so the chances of that are slim. Also if your horse does not have the caliber of being a stakes winner they will drop them in a claiming race or end there career before even giving them a fair chance. I know quite a few people in this industry and can get a more personal experience elsewhere. Mrh is who profits but if you like this experience it's up to you.
Horse ran. I see nothing on Classic Cut in regards to a review.
Nothing on the horse at all. Disappointed
Bought 1 share of a horse and it's worth the experience. No income ever so why buy more than 1 share?
Avoid investing in this myracehorse site. It will be very difficult to make a profitable return with an investment in a horse with the specific terms and conditions.
My Racehorse is wonderful for those that want to share in the excitement of a racehorse, but are intelligent enough to know that this is NOT a way to get rich, or even break even. MRH is simply entertainment. MRH is transparent, provides frequent updates on horses and hosts truly fun events. If you are looking for a lucrative investment this is not it. Get with a stock broker and stay away from race horses. I Love MRH and thoroughly enjoy attending events, meeting the people and my horses.
Invest a modest amount (or more) in the race horse prospects offered. Learn about the racing business and feel and BE a part of it. For those that are able to get to the tracks, wonderful live events. For a stay at home senior citizen who has been a lifelong racing fan, it is the answer to my dreams. Best money I ever spent. Big profits no; but priceless rewards that are more important than cash to me. Thank you to My Racehorse.
I read one of the negative responses below in respect of a 95 cent payout. I have a micro share in 5 horses and understand that it is a "micro" share. I am looking forward to watching my horses race, and if I get 95 cents, it will be a bonus. I buy a Lotto ticket each week and believe that I will never win. If you buy into MyRacehorse, do so with your eyes open and accept that it is for fun and. 01% of a share is exactly that. No more to pay, and hopefully around 5 years of fun.
Cheers
I have owned racehorses for over 50 years. I have owned them 100% and owned them in Partnerships. At best I made money 10% of the time. Big problems are the expenses when your horse isn't performing and when the time comes to get rid of one. Neither is a problem with MyRacehorse. Your cash outlay is finished the day you buy into a MyRacehorse horse. Unlikely you will ever make money. Possibly you may break even. I own mini shares in six at a total cash outlay of less than $1,000. Love it...
I love all my horses. Seeing them lifts my days. Watching them win is pure joy. I love myracehorse. I love screaming at the TV as they run down the final stretch. My horse Chasing Time runs in the Rebel stakes tomorrow (Feb 26th, 2022). I'm an owner who loves watching my thoroughbreds racing at the top of their game. Here's some photos of some of my favorite horses I have and winners. When my dad died a racehorse from myeacehorse popped up as an advertisement of a horse named Lane Way (winner circle pictured) I loved him. To keep my fathers memory alive since he called me mustang. I bought shares in lane way. And I've bought tons since. In a way my dad lives on through my horses everyday.
I am not a part owner of many racehorses to make money. I am in it for the excitement and fun. Myracehorse people were up front with money issues. Seeing Authentic win the Derby and the Classic was so ecxiting. Yes, I am very pleased with Myracehorse.
I've purchased shares in a bunch of horses via MyRaceHorse.com. It's a very good system - when the horses win, there's a payout. Of course they have to cover the reserves (food, entry fees, etc.) before paying out cash. So in some cases the winnings end up just going back to prop up the reserves. On the other hand, if the horse doesn't win at al (or does poorly)l, MyRaceHorse does *not* come back for more money - you'll never have to put up money beyond your initial share purchase. And one has to realize, horses are a risky investment - some don't end up going fast, some get hurt, some get sick, etc. That's part of the risk/reward.
It's also a lot of fun to own a horse and see it race (online the last 18 months - maybe in-person soon!) and bet on it and see it win! You also receive a bunch of video updates of the horse - workouts, feeding, resting, etc. Another bonus is to get brief interviews of the jockeys after the race where they explain from the jockey's view how the race went ("she had a lot of stamina left, we just got caught in traffic near the start").
Highly recommended as a fun way to participate in horse racing at modest cost. If you true goal is to make a ton of money, this is probably too risky of a bet to make it worthwhile.
For the adrenalin junkies! Don't expect to make money but you will have excitement worth more than money! Very professional outfit. I have investments in 22 horses and am very satisfied.
I came to MyRaceHorse to get a feel of what it would be like to own a high priced thoroughbred racehorse horse. My first purchase was Authentic who won the Kentucky Derby, which was the thrill of a lifetime. Authentic will likely bring me about $600 to $1,000 annually in future income through stud fees. Eventually, I will have a positive ROI with him. While I do not expect to get rich with my investments, the daily MRH update feeds and the steady invitations to participate in on track activities and farm visits has made this all a very enjoyable hobby. I already have found myself in the paddock with one of my horses, along with his hall of fame trainer and jockey who were open and friendly. I really like the MyRaceHorse business model that covers racing and training expenses through winnings deductions rather than quarterly expense charges. And the payouts are immediate. Once you buy in there are no added expenses. Finally the "little guy" gets to play in the Sport of Kings. So bottom line, no I probably won't get rich, but MyRaceHorse treats its investment partners superbly. Further, I would never be able to touch the quality of the MyRaceHorse offerings through a traditional partnership. A class act and a lot of fun.
Put in a request for a paltry $155.44 withdrawal on 3/9/2022. This is 3/31/2022 and STILL have not received payment. Have contacted MRH 3 times. Have no idea what the heck is going on.
MyRacehorse lets people who aren't millionaires have a piece of the racehorse experience. And yes, it is an experience. Even the millionaires have horses need injury time off at times or have horses who don't always meet expectation. That's just part of the business. MRH is totally up front about what you get and that there are no guarantees, and there are no additional monthly fees after your first investment. Where else can you get a piece of a horse sired by a Triple Crown winner for $100? Most of the people complaining are complaining about not making money, but this is about the whole ownership experience. It is not an investment to make money; the great majority of racehorses across the board for anyone in the industry do not make money. And anybody complaining about Authentic didn't read the paperwork thoroughly on that offering; it was very clear on the kickers that would be paid to former owners if he won the Derby or Breeders' Cup, thereby taking those purses. The real value of that one offering, unlike most of theirs, is in the breeding career, and I'm confident that Authentic's shareholders will come out on top in a few years. But with MRH, on my small budget, I have a graded stakes winner and a grade I stakes placed already. I'm happy, and they are very informative and patient and helpful.
Unbelievable me and few friends invested in what they promoted as great blood line 2yr old colt that ran one of the fastest times ever at the auction. After getting approx 10k of our money the trainer Mark Glatt said he needed more weight an muscle not quite ready. But they decided to take him to a race 1 month later but apparently they injured his leg putting him in the trailer. So he couldn't run. Sent pictures of him " resting peacefully" at the race on his side laying down in the middle of the day? Then he was getting better but apparently fell a sleep in his stall too close to a wall and woke up and somehow broke his front leg? Now this is my first race horse purchase but a 1000 lb animal in the stalls I've seen are always going to be next to a wall? Anyway they took him to the vet and put him down. We Owned for 2 months never ran a race. Then asked that no one mention it on social media? I have emailed, called lvm no response as to what are they are going to do. Do I get a refund get the same % ownership in new horse. Etc… no response. Part of the expenses was mortality insurance! Who collects that? If they don't respond we plan to file a complaint with the SEC. Unbelievable RIP Show Your Cards!
Life IS what you make it. Happiness, joy & contentment is not something that can be bought or sold. So I've been told. If the thrill of chasing the almighty dollar is what makes you happy & puts a smile on your face... then by all means keep chasing it. End Game? No Guarantees!
I've been chasing it for nearly 60 years & finally found what buys me happiness, melts my heart with joy, leads me to contentment, provides me pride, & yes... buys me a smile every single day I open my MRH stable & check on my babies...
AND maybe... just MAYBE I'll find myself in the winners circle with 1of my babies & shoulder to shoulder with my MRH extended family. That's called HOPE ma"Friends.
EVERYONE measures "wealth" in different ways, don't they? WAIT... I guess you CAN buy hope, happiness, pleasure, joy AND smiles with microshares in beautiful, magnificent, athletic, competitive equine animals & live vicariously through them.
MRH has brought me this option of personal positivity. And even though I may never turn a profit on my investments, it brings me a pluther of happiness & joy. Thank you MRH!

Most positive reviews for this company have to be fake. It is a complete scam! You'll fell more apart of the sport by just placing a few bets.
Answer: Same here. At one point I had shares in 18 horses. And had a heckuva lot of fun with it.
Answer: Horses are entered into a suitable race when they are fit and healthy. The competition and the ride by the jockey determines if the horse can win or not. Checking with the professional handicappers gives you an idea too.
MyRacehorse has a rating of 1.8 stars from 47 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. MyRacehorse ranks 35th among Horseback Riding sites.
