“Love My Racehorse”

Shelly W.
4/24/23

My Racehorse is wonderful for those that want to share in the excitement of a racehorse, but are intelligent enough to know that this is NOT a way to get rich, or even break even. MRH is simply entertainment. MRH is transparent, provides frequent updates on horses and hosts truly fun events. If you are looking for a lucrative investment this is not it. Get with a stock broker and stay away from race horses. I Love MRH and thoroughly enjoy attending events, meeting the people and my horses.

I have been waiting to buy stock in lovesick21 for months. I've dealt with the annoying emails stating that they would work out the logistics with the SEC for all states. Next thing you know they acknowledged they screwed up and instead of waiting until everyone had an equal chance to buy, they just opened up to everyone but Maryland. I recommend not doing business with them if they can't be fair.

On top of the large "management" fee the horses themselves haven't done anything (except for Authentic who investors got nothing for all of his success). I guess if you don't mind throwing away money to maybe see a horse you "own" run a couple times a year and make almost 0 profit then this place is for you. I would suggest doing more research and looking to spend money somewhere else if you want to get into the horseracing game.

I bought a few shares of a horse (Collusion Illusion) last year. So far he's been a bust. Kept from racing for "mental issues," and when he went back managed 8th place out of 8. I want to sell my shares but there doesn't seem to be a provision for it!

I'm not happy. The only reason I'm not giving MyRacehorse a single star is because I went to one of their events and we had a very nice time.

I gave it 2 stars because if you are a fan you can at least get the feeling of owning a racehorse. They are good with updates and videos which is fun to watch and read. The bad? They get injured all the time. One horse I bought into ran one race, got injured, and retired. Money down the drain. I have 4 more and all have been injured for many months at a time. Because of this they incur expenses and use up their money reserve. By the time they race you get $0 even if they win. Myracehorse makes money but you will never come close to breaking even. If you like updates and want to cheer a horse then go ahead and pay the $100 or whatever it is. Just do not expect to see the money again.

Bought into a horse for $301, horse won 4 out of 11 races. They decide to sell at auction so on every share you lose $ 161. That's crazy. This company is just your donation not an investment.

I have seven fractional ownership in horses through MyRacehorse and a little disappointed in the fact that most, aside from PowerUp Paytner haven't raced. I knew the purchases would not yield any sort of ROI, but purchased for the love of the sport and personal interest in racing.

With this, my only complaint is the lack of races for the horses purchased. I realize the the Pandemic may have impacted the sport and the progression of horses but this is ridiculous since most of the horses are turning four (4) years old.

Investor beware.

Invest a modest amount (or more) in the race horse prospects offered. Learn about the racing business and feel and BE a part of it. For those that are able to get to the tracks, wonderful live events. For a stay at home senior citizen who has been a lifelong racing fan, it is the answer to my dreams. Best money I ever spent. Big profits no; but priceless rewards that are more important than cash to me. Thank you to My Racehorse.

I read one of the negative responses below in respect of a 95 cent payout. I have a micro share in 5 horses and understand that it is a "micro" share. I am looking forward to watching my horses race, and if I get 95 cents, it will be a bonus. I buy a Lotto ticket each week and believe that I will never win. If you buy into MyRacehorse, do so with your eyes open and accept that it is for fun and. 01% of a share is exactly that. No more to pay, and hopefully around 5 years of fun.

Cheers

SO MUCH FUN! I purchased my first shares in the fall of 2019 with MyRacehorse. I have loved receiving all of the informative and educational updates on my horses which include pictures and videos. However, my favorite part of owning Thoroughbred Racehorse through Myracehorse is the friendships that I have built through attending farm/backside tours, showcases and race day events. This is such a fun way to be a part of the sport of kings with one affordable upfront out of pocket fee(no monthly training bills). Additionally, I am proud to a part of a company that always puts the horse first and ensures that the horses are cared for and properly rehomed after their racing career if they don't make it as a stallion or broodmare prospect. Such a great experience.

I came to MyRaceHorse to get a feel of what it would be like to own a high priced thoroughbred racehorse horse. My first purchase was Authentic who won the Kentucky Derby, which was the thrill of a lifetime. Authentic will likely bring me about $600 to $1,000 annually in future income through stud fees. Eventually, I will have a positive ROI with him. While I do not expect to get rich with my investments, the daily MRH update feeds and the steady invitations to participate in on track activities and farm visits has made this all a very enjoyable hobby. I already have found myself in the paddock with one of my horses, along with his hall of fame trainer and jockey who were open and friendly. I really like the MyRaceHorse business model that covers racing and training expenses through winnings deductions rather than quarterly expense charges. And the payouts are immediate. Once you buy in there are no added expenses. Finally the "little guy" gets to play in the Sport of Kings. So bottom line, no I probably won't get rich, but MyRaceHorse treats its investment partners superbly. Further, I would never be able to touch the quality of the MyRaceHorse offerings through a traditional partnership. A class act and a lot of fun.

They sold a graded stakes winner for 400,000 because she didn't win fast enough. Soon as someone bought her she turned around and won multiple graded stakes races. They block you from all your groups if you speak the truth. It's a bit odd to be blocked when you express you feel they are setting you up for their own gain. You fund their business by buying shares. And they drop them into claimers after using the horses reserve for 25 grand. They don't even own majority of the horse. Way to many horses lost (expensive ones too) to small claiming races. They rarely own the majority of the horse. It's supposed to be for entertainment. It's not entertaining to spend lots of money on horses to enjoy them for 6 months before they go into claiming races. Future starts bundle started with 14 horses. Within 8 months 8 horses sold to claimers. The future starts bundle is left with 2 or 3 horses out the bundle after after 10 months.

It is probably a fun and exciting way for those that have always dreamed of being involved in horse racing, but from the perspective of having owned, trained being involved with these Magnificent Equine Athletes, this is lack luster and almost impossible to get a ROI. The events are a lottery with thousands trying to be included and little time to travel if you don't know if you are included. Mrh gets 10% off the earnings after 10% Jockey/Trainer w/small incidentals, therefore you would have to have your horse earn close to a 1m depending on the shares sold and price to break even. My issue is I want to be involved, seeing my horse, trainer, jock and the backside so the chances of that are slim. Also if your horse does not have the caliber of being a stakes winner they will drop them in a claiming race or end there career before even giving them a fair chance. I know quite a few people in this industry and can get a more personal experience elsewhere. Mrh is who profits but if you like this experience it's up to you.

I've read all the reviews here and keep seeing the word "investment". Guys! You are buying an experience at myRacehorse, not an investment. Didn't you read the prospectus before you "invested"? There is virtually no chance of making money on your horse--and they make that quite clear--but what you spend will buy you memories that will last a lifetime. You will learn about the "big leagues" of horse racing at very little expense. Know how to make a small fortune in horse racing? Start with a large fortune! It's funny. And it's true.

Tip for consumers:
Sorry, I was moved to write by the unfair reviews. Many people think they're making an investment in their racehorse. That's really not the way this works, and if people would read the paperwork some of them might figure this out.

Unbelievable me and few friends invested in what they promoted as great blood line 2yr old colt that ran one of the fastest times ever at the auction. After getting approx 10k of our money the trainer Mark Glatt said he needed more weight an muscle not quite ready. But they decided to take him to a race 1 month later but apparently they injured his leg putting him in the trailer. So he couldn't run. Sent pictures of him " resting peacefully" at the race on his side laying down in the middle of the day? Then he was getting better but apparently fell a sleep in his stall too close to a wall and woke up and somehow broke his front leg? Now this is my first race horse purchase but a 1000 lb animal in the stalls I've seen are always going to be next to a wall? Anyway they took him to the vet and put him down. We Owned for 2 months never ran a race. Then asked that no one mention it on social media? I have emailed, called lvm no response as to what are they are going to do. Do I get a refund get the same % ownership in new horse. Etc… no response. Part of the expenses was mortality insurance! Who collects that? If they don't respond we plan to file a complaint with the SEC. Unbelievable RIP Show Your Cards!

I started investing in myracehorse October 2019. I spread 1k over shares of 7 horses that have yet to retrieve any type of return to my wallet. I'm not saying the horses did not race and place in any rankings, since they did and total achieved for all my horses for 2020 was around 250k. Though I received $0 of those winnings from the shares I have. From what it shows on my account all the revenue that comes in per share is matched with an equal amount expense per share. Constantly resulting an amount of dividend per share of $0.

I've purchased shares in a bunch of horses via MyRaceHorse.com. It's a very good system - when the horses win, there's a payout. Of course they have to cover the reserves (food, entry fees, etc.) before paying out cash. So in some cases the winnings end up just going back to prop up the reserves. On the other hand, if the horse doesn't win at al (or does poorly)l, MyRaceHorse does *not* come back for more money - you'll never have to put up money beyond your initial share purchase. And one has to realize, horses are a risky investment - some don't end up going fast, some get hurt, some get sick, etc. That's part of the risk/reward.
It's also a lot of fun to own a horse and see it race (online the last 18 months - maybe in-person soon!) and bet on it and see it win! You also receive a bunch of video updates of the horse - workouts, feeding, resting, etc. Another bonus is to get brief interviews of the jockeys after the race where they explain from the jockey's view how the race went ("she had a lot of stamina left, we just got caught in traffic near the start").
Highly recommended as a fun way to participate in horse racing at modest cost. If you true goal is to make a ton of money, this is probably too risky of a bet to make it worthwhile.

Not one person I know of has made a profit. I asked MRH if they are in the black and got no response. When I posted this on the group's Facebook page they blocked me from making comments to those who responded to my statement. That to me says all you need to know. Bottom line save your money and if you do buy into don't expect to ever be in the black.

MyRacehorse should be viewed like losing money at the casino. DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM AS AN INVESTMENT. It's a fun experience, and it can be exciting when your horse runs in a race -- or, even wins -- however, you will never get your investment back because the payouts are so small.

For example, my investment in three horses, which was $450 total, earned winnings of $40.

One of the three horses never even made it to a race because the horse had absolutely no interest in racing. So, the horse was sold to a petting zoo or hobby farm. Another horse ran one race and didn't even finish. It was sold, too. The third horse actually won one race, placed and showed in a couple others, but was ultimately sold because the horse could not even complete at the Grade 2 level.

After all three horses were sold, I made an additional $20 -- giving me a $60 return on a $450 investment or a loss of $390.

Your chances of winning a 10-to-1 bet are better than breaking even with MyRacehorse.

Now I have to pay to download a digital picture of my racehorse from my racehorse it makes me very mad for I use my mare's winning photos for my social media accounts now I can't do that I have to pay $15 for a photo and that's the cheapest amount, I hate to say this at LEAST I got my $5.02 dollar check in the mail and was able to cash it at my bank

Tip for consumers:
Several months ago I used to download my mare's workout videos and now I can't do that anymore for it won't download on my phone which bothers me and now I'm irritated for I have to pay for my mare's digital winning photos which used to free, what's the point of owning a racehorse when you can't have any memories with the horse

Hi Tara, we're sorry your horse's journey did not go as you envisioned. We are committed to doing what is best for the horse and sometimes that involves surface changes, trainer changes, equipment changes, time off, etc. We often start off with high hopes and dreams for each of our horses, and it's common to have to adjust our expectations and plans as they progress through training and begin to tell us what they are capable of and what they need. With regard to saving memories, may we ask if you've downloaded the MyRacehorse app? There is a great sharing feature on every owner update post that allows you to save posts to your notes or text or share them on social media. With regard to the quality of our trainers, we are honored to partner with many hall of famers including Todd Pletcher, Steve Asmussen, Richard Mandella and more. We'll certainly keep Shug on our minds for a future acquisition he's also extremely talented. We are always looking for ways to improve the owner experience and appreciate your feedback!

I have owned racehorses for over 50 years. I have owned them 100% and owned them in Partnerships. At best I made money 10% of the time. Big problems are the expenses when your horse isn't performing and when the time comes to get rid of one. Neither is a problem with MyRacehorse. Your cash outlay is finished the day you buy into a MyRacehorse horse. Unlikely you will ever make money. Possibly you may break even. I own mini shares in six at a total cash outlay of less than $1,000. Love it...
