After being incredibly excited about our purchase, and it taking weeks longer than promised, the wrong item was sent. We were required to return the wrong item prior to the new correct item being sent and were not refunded the return postage. Very disappointing indeed.
BUYER BEWARE: I am a licensed GC home builder in Santa Monica, and this scam company (myknobs and emtek) sent me fhe wrong lockset, wrong finish, and refuses to accept responsibility. Their customer service is extremely rude and unhelpful, and the hardware they sell is absolute junk. Dont waste your money, you will be dissapointed in the end. You will have better luck online with Home Depot, or Amazon, or through a more reputable seller like schlage, or kwikset. Avoid any seller using Emtek as a supplier, you will be in for a massive headache, trust me from my terrible experience. Good luck consumers.
Terrible return process. Don't buy from here. Had to wait a week just to get a response on my "return request". When I finally did, there was no pre paid label. Just an address of where to send it. Will have to pay return shipping. Save yourself time and money and buy from Wayfair or amazon…
This company is terrible, I paid $12 and cents to return they garbage, they didn't provide no return label when they sent me the wrong products, I ordered " black matte finish bar pulls "but I got something shiny, the customer service is terrible, they only except return packages from ups or FedEx, you have to wait three days to get an approve email, you have to email the receipt to@ *******@myknobs.com to show you really email they products, 10 days to wait to processing for a refund if you qualify for one. My mistake I didn't check any reviews for myknobs.
I ordered 25 Baldwin knobs a month ago. I ordered 9 too many only to find out there is a 25% restocking fee and of course, shipping is on me. Certain brands have different return policies and I think if you are going to order from this company you should know. I am going to return anyway as 9 knobs is over $100 and something back is better than nothing, but ouch!
If you're a residential customers who doesn't shop for hardware regularly, beware. I now know they're a broker and my order of 5 knobs (samples) would arrive from their many vendors. Each vendor charges $8 shipping. My free shipping code only got me free shipping from one vendor. So I cancelled my order. Once I saw it was fulfilled, I called twice to see what was happening, but everyone had a different story. They have no control over orders. I received all 5 knobs and was told then realized it wasn't worth sending them back — paying shipping and restocking fees for two. This is not how to keep customers.
MyKnobs is a drop shipper, something I discovered after placing my order. While being a drop shipper is acceptable, a company must take responsibility for the products they sell, especially if their supplier fails to fulfill the order correctly.
I ordered a $364 Emtek handleset with a "Right Handle" configuration. Instead, they sent me a "Left Handle" configuration. This is problematic because I have double doors, and the "Left Handle" configuration prevents the other door from opening.
Despite clear evidence that I received the incorrect handle, MyKnobs only offered a return if I covered the shipping costs and paid a 25% restocking fee. They placed the blame on Emtek, refusing to assist further.
To rectify their error, I'd have to pay over $100. Regardless of whether Emtek is at fault, I made my purchase with MyKnobs, and they should uphold their responsibility to their customers.
Purchased 3 door knobs in July. The status said "sent to warehouse" for weeks. I finally called and they told me they were on back order until September 19. I called on September 23rd, was told they'd try to find out from the status from the manufacturer. No word. Called again 3 times. Was finally told they were back ordered until October now. Finally asked to cancel the order and they told me they would put in the request with the manufacturer to cancel but no guarantees, it's up to them. Oh, OK. Try me, will dispute the charge with my credit card then. I'm not waiting 6 months for 3 door knobs I can buy elsewhere. Buyer beware.
I purchased one cabinet hinge from Myknobs along with one cabinet hinge from four other companies in order determine the best match with my new gold knobs. When matching hardware, this is a common thing consumers do. Their hinge did not match the best along with three other hinges. I had no problem returning any of the other hinges. However even though my purchase was within the 30 day window, Myknobs refused to allow me to return the product because I installed the hinge to view it with the cabinet knob. Again this is something I did with all the other hinges and typical for consumers to do when they purchase a sample. I will never purchase from this company again and do not recommend them due to their poor understanding of customer needs and poor customer service.
Myknows works with vendors who supply the knobs, but when somethig must be returned, myknobs waits to get their credit from the vendor before paying you. It took almost four weeks for mine. Makes you question their financial strength.
They do NOT stand behind their products. While they do accept returns, what good is it if the cost of shipping it back to them is as much as the product itself (towel bar, in this case)? They were unwilling to take responsibility and cover the return shipping.
When I received 2 of the 3 products, I contacted them immediately about a return when I saw the poor quality and workmanship (unlike in the pictures on their website). They told me they'd refund the one I didn't receive, but they didn't and they shipped it anyway, requiring me to pay the shipping to return it.
Customer service (over chat and email/ticket) is HORRENDOUS! I will never buy from this company again!
I ordered super cute knobs for the laundry room. I ordered copper and they did not look very good. I returned them for antique silver. They charged a $25 restocking fee. Last time I do business with them!
This website resells products from other vendors. You could often buy the same product from the vendor directly at a much cheaper price. More importantly - if you order through them as opposed to directly directly from the vendor, your order will be deprioritized. I have been waiting on a product for three months now for an order I placed with them. Placed the same order with the vendor directly yesterday and the product got shipped this morning.
I ordered 3 types of pulls to compare for my cabinets. The order only totaled $64.79, they claim shipping is free over $49.00 When I got down to the payment they charged $8.95 for shipping to Hawaii and an additional $30.00 Sur-charge. $38.95 for shipping on my order #USO*******
I made a purchase and then called and canceled the order less that 5hrs later. The agent assured me that it was canceled but they processed the order regardless. Customer service was beyond rude and were unable to answer a single question. Never order from them.
Sold me product that they didn't have, and kept lying about the product shipping in a couple of days. Customer service wait was awful. Don't buy from these guys.
Mainly, I want to warn that My Knobs is just a drop shipper; if you want to return something you have to return to the manufacturer and pay both a restocking fee and your own return shipping costs. In my case, the manufacturer won't accept USPS packages, so I was forced to return heavy merchandise via the more costly route of UPS or FedEx. Total waste on time and loss of money.
I bought an italian door knob from this provider and the design did not fit my door. I spent over $300 on the door know because I wanted something modern for my newly renovated condo. The door knob did not fit and had to return it. I just got shipped back the box with the knob and a note saying they don't accept open packages. No wonder Amazon is taking over the the retail business. I will never ever again buy from this provider. Zero customer service and no returns accepted...Really in today's market? With Bed Bath and Beyond going out of business and Walmart's closing down...IT'S THIS SORT OF BAD CUSTOMER POLICIES THAT WILL PUT YOU OUT OF BUSINESS.
I was excited because Linnea products were eco friendly and made in USA. We bought the Contemporary Double Hooks. We were sent a defected product and would do nothing about it. My husband looked and thought it was not made correctly. I called My Knobs and referred me to Linnea. We called them and he sent instructions. My husband knew what to do so he followed instructions and it did not work. (He had put similar one in recently.) So I called again and then I asked if he would talk to my husband. He asked him to take off and take photo, so we did. We were told to send back and persuasion and they would look at it. It took multiple emails to get a return ticket. They kept saying if damaged or out of package, they would not give refund, but we kept telling them they were defected. They also said it was not within the 30 day window, but would had been if they. Had worked with us. We spent over $100 on what we thought were nice hooks. They were very arrogant and what made it worse, they took the time and money to send back the defected product.
I love the solid quality of my new kitchen handles, they are the first purchase I made by shopping for an item on this website and never heard of it before. I was scared it was never going to ship. I will definitly purchase more in the future now knowing the quality of my knobs. Also the product I received in just a few days after buying it on the site.
