“No Assistance From Alex Customer Svc Rep”

Horrid service... horrid customer svc. Trying to pay a bill I believe is due however I do not have the policy #. This Alex person kept repeating the same thing... I am fluent in English but she does not seem to understand English very well & has a slavic accent. When I asked for her supervisor/manager- she hung up. I will try again tomorrow & pray I am not connected with her.

I recently spoke with a rude customer service representative who could not explain why on my renewal that I will be charged two months premium in March than I will have a bill in April for my monthly charge. Saying that they sent a renewal notice back in January that I should have contacted them earlier to charge my policy to monthly but they will bill monthly after I make this double payment.

If I could do a negative resting they would get (-35)

My experience with MetLife was so negative that I scarcely know where to begin. No good website-- can't make payments without an act of Congress. Experienced a deceptive customer service representative who cancelled my policy AFTER I made a payment. Never dealt with a more unprofessional cadre of people. I will never do business with MetLife again, and will discourage my friends and family from doing so! GOOD RIDDANCE

In less than two years our rates went from 83 to 138. We had no changes in our perfect driving records. Customer service is difficult to understand. They did not explain clearly that your first payment does not pay for your first month's coverage it is just a "down payment" for the pleasure of doing business with them. Therefore although we paid the exact amount of our policy initially you will still owe a prorated amount or another entire payment. I do NOT recommend. I will NEVER use them again. We switched to Geico where I get customer service from someone that lives in our state for the same starting rate with great coverage.

I was involved in an accident and it wasn't my fault it was the other driver at fault and they paid for the repair of my car but a week later I get a cancellation notice now remind you that I've been with this company for about 3 years no accident no nothing up until that particular time they don't want to pay out no money so they will cancel you your policy crazy but glad I found another insurance company just as well what do they think insurance companies for just to get your money and not pay out when there's a situation of an accident. Cancellation of your policy at their discretion and at someone else fault and you are not at fault

This "company" should honestly be shut down. There isn't enough time in the day to list all the negatives I have. Read all the other 1 star reviews to get a grasp on what to expect

I can never login. Their website is always "closed try later". I have never dealt with a business like this! As soon as I can figure out how to stop auto payments. I am done with this company! Poorest customer service!

They will cancel your policy and not even tell you! So if they take it out of your account and their incompetent system somehow doesnt or cant take it out of your account they will cancel. Customer service it out sourced and they are illiterate and speak no understandable english.

I have never experienced so many problems with a company. No matter what I did I could never get my payments to process through their systems. Any representative I spoke to would refer me to their website. Their website is "experiencing technical difficulties" the majority of the time. The process to make a payment would take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I really feel as though I was scammed.

Needless to say this company is nothing but a joke. They will take your money and leave you stranded. Not to mention you can never get ahold of anyone. The hold time is always longer than an hour. None of their employees are trained properly. I could go on and on. Morale of the story. DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY

After many phone calls to different people I still could not cancel this life insurance. I bought it 10 years ago. I have moved and also remarried changed my last name. Finally they sent me a letter I called found out they had my birthdate wrong on their file. I could not even register online but they kept taking money out of my account. Terrible customer service. On hold for long long time and yet they still could not rectify the problem they kept passing you to another person and then another person or dept. terrible company.if there is anything lower the 1 star that would be their review.

I always wondered why I never get policy information on paper! They have taken more money out of my account than they was supposed to. They have also took a larger Payment than we discussed for my policy! Who the hell would agree to pay more for liability than they would pay for full coverage? Not me! Finally I'm canceling them because they are so fraudulent! It's also hard to talk to a live rep!

Good luck trying to make a payment online... you need more luck to talk to someone. Renewal pricing is more than your payment and doesn't apply to your payment. I guess it's a convience fee for their terrible service to aggreviate the $#*! out of you! Auto pay is a joke, you set it up and they take it out and then send you a letter "snailmail" telling you that your policy will be cancelled in a few days due to non payment? Try to call what they call " customer service"? Can't speak to anyone and when you email them, you will get a responce the next day "maybe" saying at they are looking into the matter and will respond within 5 business days... yeah well by then your policy is cancelled... oh and of course in that letter is a late fee applied for a payment that was made. This insurance company is aweful for real. I'm glad I got out while I could. God forbid, if there was a accident, I would hate to see how they handled that. Honestly you would be on your own. They also claim cheap auto insurance, but honestly there are other companies out there with better prices, less hassles and definitly better customer service. I have never in my life had such a problem trying to pay a company a bill? They are definitly scammers. As far as getting paperwork from them you might as well type up your own policy. STAY AWAY! THIS BUSINESS "if thats what they call it" IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

Mind you I never write reviews I usually always read them. This my very first review I've ever written so that must tell you something! This company is a complete scam! My insurance have been cancelled twice from payments I've made with them and on time! The most recently cancellation was 8/19/19 and I didn't find out until 9/3/19 when I was trying to pay my insurance. Their system is poor managed and have all types of issues. Run run run fast do not deal with this company. If I could give negative stars I would. I've been riding around 10+ days with no insurance and nobody even reached out to me. Tread lightly.

They only talk to you on their portal, and they are never available. The prices are good BUT you really do get what you pay for, they are awful. I hate that you cannot talk on the phone and they cancelled my policy without ANY notice, and I had to make them reinstate it, someone should report them to the Insurance Commissioner in each state. They really are a terrible company.

Same problem as all I have read. Made payments on time, got cancelled with no notice, cannot get customer service, tried all contact us ways, still no answer. This is either a scam company or very incompetent management.

Paid my policy with metlife then they say my policy is cancelled. Noone ever sent a reminder or a payment on a supposedly missed payment? Every month the policy was paid! They are shady! Said I owed 50 dollars for something past due and I could never find a missed payment! They took my money and immediately said my policy was cancelled. I called complained to no avail! Will never use this company again

I had AutoPay setup for my payments and it randomly failed to pull a payment (for no discernible reason) so my policy NEARLY CANCELLED on me. Instead of calling me to immediately notify of this problem, they sent a snail mail letter to notify of this. So many headaches from this company. Really sketchy with the failed payment (no reason for it), because my other autopays worked the whole time. Charged me a late fee for the failed autopay payment. Really sketchy.

This company is the god-awful worst. My parked car got hit and they refused to payout. Instead of cutting me a check they decided to delay this process weeks. Low and behold I thought they are trying to investigate the accident oh no, they were actually investigating me. I purchased a new car and changed my policy weeks prior to fit this purchase. Somehow they decided I was trying to commit fraud. My car gets fixed, they're still investigating me, I ended up paying out of pocket for my repairs because obviously I need my car to get around. Weeks go by and no check. I ended up saying f-ck it, and ended the claim, and cancelled my policy immediately This whole company is a piece of sh-t scam. Kenneth Pangburn can rot in hell.

This coverage is awful. They will cancel your policy, no agent available, they say its cheap because its online based... you can do way better than these guys. Try esurance.

Problem after problem after problem but they are always charging you more and more money. This company has created so much stress for me. I dont ever write reviews but this company has been a nightmare.

This has to be the sh*test insurance out there. They claim to have an online policy for cheaper prices. They make it extremely hard to share an documents with your auto dealer. They won't fax anything. Metlife is a big pile of garage and so is their third world customer service. Don't get their insurance!

MetLife DIRECT Auto Insurance is THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

They canceled my insurance my with no notice, communication, and nothing.

I was actually driving around for a month without knowing I wasn't covered.

They said they notified me, but there was not one email from them.

They are absolutely unprofessional, reckless, and irresponsible.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Overcharged me never post payment cancelled my insurance. Havent heard from a supervisor at all!. Been waiting weeks cant telk me where my money went!
