MovingHelp was regretfully included in the process of moving a UBox across the country via U-Haul, from Michigan to Texas. They showed me movers in the Michigan and Texas areas and I paid for the movers' services. By the day the UBox is supposed to be delivered to my driveway, I haven't been contacted by the movers in Michigan. I have to alternate calling U-Haul and the movers themselves 3 times to finally get through to them. Turns out, the movers that MovingHelp advertises are no longer doing moving services. I'm finding this out ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE! MovingHelp had not updated that little detail in their system. When they offer me more expensive movers (without offering a refund or covering the price difference), they realize those movers are not servicing the Michigan local area either. In the end, after hours on the phone and left without options, I ask the MovingHelp representative what can be done. She says "there is no moving help for you." There you have it, folks: MovingHelp offers no moving help. If you're having issues that are their fault, they'll just refer you to their Terms and Conditions (that were never posted on U-Haul's site where you put in the order) that absolve them of any responsibility because they are "just" a website. They did at least refund me fully, so they get 1 star. Avoid them if you ever can, Although U-Haul pretty much automatically relegates hiring movers through them unfortunately.
TL; DR: Confirm the details of your moving services yourself by calling the movers you find on MovingHelp. You will not be guaranteed any services just because you paid for them.
I ordered this service through UHaul's App. I recieved a phone call from the mover giving them details about the move the night before. Day of the move, Im at the UHaul site ready to pick up the truck. I called the number of the mover 4 times, no answer, sent a text, received a reply stating "can we reschedule?" ON THE DAY and AT THE TIME I'm supposed to get the truck and meet the helpers. No forewarning at all. Moving Help.com wasnt much help. I waited on hold for 20 minutes only to finally get a person that made some incoherent noise, then hung up on me. Tried their chat feature which wasnt much better but at least I got a promise to refund my deposit (we'll see if I get it). So... my recommendation would be to NOT use AW (All Weather) Movers under any circumstances, be cautious using Moving Help. Its very difficult to get help if you need it. The first UHaul rep I talked to was outright nasty, disavowing any knowledge of the relationship between UHaul and Moving Help. Second person I spoke with from UHaul was helpful with rescheduling. I used (held my nose) Moving Help to reschedule using a different mover. Fingers crossed. To have a problem with providing the help you contracted for is one thing, not calling to discuss it, giving no forewarning is absolutely unacceptable. Again, my recommendation is to not use AW (All Weather) Movers, Silver Spring, MD under any circumstances.
I was charged for a service but did not receive any services. There is no phone number to call, all correspondence is through email.
I had a false sense of security because of the affiliation with Uhaul, a company that I no longer have any respect for. Adding to the false sense of security is the claims section of the website, which is a farce, and the fact that usually there is since protection that comes with using a credit card as payment. The movers hired through the site didn't mention that they badly damaged several pieces of the furniture during the move. It didn't occur to me that I needed to inspect every piece after they said they successfully moved everything. After finding my mirrored dresser, headboard, antique chest, and washer damaged, I contacted movinghelp.com and filed a claim through their website. Their response was they are a neutral party and don't do anything (though they have the claim section of their website and of course collect a fee with each booking). The moving company won't respond and movinghelp won't even require them to respond and continues to let them advertise on their site. I am so disappointed in both the moving company and the website. I was scammed by both.
I have tried, believe it or not, twice to place an order with this company. The first time, I was charged TWICE for a moving help order that didn't process and held my funds for five days for $300. When I called U Haul to get help I was given the phone number for Movinghelp.com and called. Alicia spoke to me, rudely and was very condescending. She wouldn't help with my issue. I asked for a supervisor and of course he had "just went home" per Alicia. The bank couldn't help as the funds were being held through MovingHelp.com and of course they had no record of it. The second time I called and spoke to believe it or not Alicia again. She went through the order process with me over the phone and then stated she couldn't process the order as the billing address didn't "match". I checked with my bank - it's correct. I called her back after seeing the funds on hold for this order and she stated if I didn't give her another form of payment she wasn't going to help me. Again the sweet Alicia was rude and condescending as usual and of course a supervisor had just gone home. Why would U Haul associate with this company? It's a horrible reflection on them. Now again I have to wait for this to "drop off" my account just as before. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
The worst experience of my life, they never called and I had a hard time moving. I never recommend moving helpers, the worst moving company in the USA.

Let me make myself clear, the individual mover Moving Help contracted with were wonderful. Moving Help as a company was the worst organization I have engaged with. They never communicated what I needed, they sent an order to the mover for an upload only. I ordered 2 UHAUL pods I only received 1. I flew from the East coast to the west only to have a botched incomplete job because of no communication between Moving Help and UHAUL. I recommend not using Moving Help or UHAUL PODS. I was on hold for 32 mins stranded in my storage unit waiting to speak with Moving Help. It was a nightmare and no one responded. UHAUL stated they were so sorry but it was not their problem as they had no way to connect to Moving Help. A complete waste, now that they have my money, 500.00 dollars, I still need to get the job finished. The actual movers were just as frustrated with Moving Help.'s communication, Be for-warned after they get your money there is no follow-up at all. I can't even rate Moving Help on their site. The infrastructure of the organization is worse than poor from my experience and the whole experience was a nightmare.
We book 2 helpers end of may, they arrived 2 hours late and drunk! That is not normal. We are still waiting for a compensation
I made a reservation via Uhaul.com (which uses movinghelp.com) for assistance in moving in Roseville, CA. I made the reservation online on 6/20 for 7/5 and then also followed up with the assigned company, A1 Moving. Movinghelp.com charged my card. I confirmed the reservation on 6/20 Witt the company in writing. On 7/3, I sent a text to again confirm the time and move. He moving company replied it was no longer working with MovingHelp. I immediately called MovingHelp (almost impossible to get a number for it) as MovingHelp never contacted me to find another company. I called it and waited on hold for over 2 hrs. Finally got ahold of an agent who said he price would now be 3 times the amount of the original price which had been charged stating it was my fault for "waiting so late to change the reservation" & that since my move was after a holiday I now "had to pay a premium and also a $10.95 fee to book on the phone." I am reporting them to BBB So buyer beware of their bait & switch tactics and fraudulent behaviors.
I cancelled my move with them via voicemail and u-haul and when they called to confirm. They still charged my F**king card. Disputing it with the charge card bank now. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Two guys showed up at my apartment and got the job done in an hour. Great guys, would recommend their service to a friend!
Movers 4 hours late, after an excuse "oh the client before you added on hours" then finally said movers were on the way, (while i was on the phone with uhaul who heard convo) should be there in 30 mins, so should have arrived around 2. 2. 30 i get a call saying whats my address they are on their way, which means i was lied to about them sending people at that time (1.30). Showed up at 3 to a truck that me and husband 3/4 already packed. Help us with the last few items, then@ the drop off location, the young kid was constantly complaining about things being too heavy for him to lift. Kept taking things from the 3rd helper to do the "light stuff". Same kid then tells me "hey i left your dining table at the patio, i couldnt bring it up all the way, let my boss know." at one point i started helping bringing stuff in becuase i was wayyy behind schedule, and then the older one says "grab it with her(me), she can help you". Then after i left my husband finds they put all dressers in one room!
Opened a case on moving helpers website and after 2 weeks i do the online chat and their response is "we are just a go through company to help find you local movers, once you give them the pay code its out of our hands, you have to go to the company that you hired for any refund/ dispute"
Their FAQ says: "if your mover doesn't show up, just look for someone else that does same-day moves". Essentially, you're on your own.
The guys were on time and very courteous and pleasant. Easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this company!
John was very knowledgeable and careful I would recommend again this company! All of our stuff were taken care of
I registered on July8,2018 to have Movinghelp.com help me with a move on August 9th, 2018. They took their $215.14 that day. I had to cancel the service which I did by text as well as phone call to the mover on July 30th, 2018, He said no problem head office would refund my money, 10 days later i called him back he said he would look into they were having trouble getting money back. Two months later head office tells me they returned money to mover and it was up to me to get it back The mover is not returning my calls and as far as i am concerned the firm that initially took the money should be returning the money. This is not fair as i never used their service and no one cares WATCH OUT THEY DO NOT HONOUR THEIR COMMITMENTS. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS OF SCAM AND FRAUD.
U-haul. I am so disappointed in your company. On Monday I booked a rental car and moving help. I attempted to call the moving guy that you recommended all week and got no answer and his voicemail was full. Today was the moving day and I was never able to contact him. I have him until noon today hoping he would show up and he didn't. I went online today and switched to a second mover who promised he would be at my house by 5pm. He never showed up either. These are the people that your company are backing as good movers. I called the 800 number and was told the truck I have was rented for tomorrow so I had to call the local scheduling office to see if I can keep it. Called the number I was given four times and was transferred to Miami and they said they couldn't help and to call back tomorrow. Now I am stuck paying for another day on the truck because I trusted that the movers that you recommended were on the up and up, the person that has rented this truck tomorrow is sol because I have to keep it because it's half loaded and I have to get the rest of my things, I have lost a whole day waiting around for movers that never came and I used a day of my pro for this. I will never ever use your company again and I will make it my mission to let everyone know this is how you do business.
U-Box set up order for deliver & load & return to U-Haul for 7boxes in Asheville, NC. Talked to Rebecca, Melanie, Chantia (twice w/ her) was quoted firm price of $1002. 95. Next day, Rana Sprivrilli advised that we were not on the loading schedule and I had to cancel order order and enter new one. NEW PRICE $720 TOTAL.
Two days later, received a new call from H&H Movers and they advise new price $997 total and I have to call U-'Box and place the order over again,
Same day, talked to Judy with U-Box (won't give her last name; says she doesn't have one. Must be like Cher), She says she must change the price $1400.
Tried to explain that they caused the cancellation and U-Box did this because they wanted to raise the price.
Judy No Name says that H&H Movers won't do it for $997 and U-BOX can't book it for that even I just spoke to H&H and that advised that they will take the business for that number.
Don's say you weren't warned.

Great service! The guys were super fast and gentle with my stuff. Made moving super easy! Highly recommend.
If I could give a tenth of star rating I would. My brother a disable veteran that used a U Haul to move. We saw there was moving help available and decided to take advantage. The problem is you find a service, but can't speak with them until you've rendered payment for moving services you can't confirm they can actually provide. For disabled people it's not as cut and dry as for folks that are not disabled. There are extenuating circumstances that must be addressed before a disable person on a fixed income can spend there money. This is where the problem come in, because this service takes payment before you are allow to communicate with the moving service. If they are unable to deal with your extenuating circumstance. You now have to attempt to get a refund for a service that was never provided. Considering you as the disable person on a fixed income don't have any extra money to still go and secure the services your require. You are now at the mercy of a flawed system that has your money tied up in a refund process that takes 3 to 5 business day at a minimum, but you need service now. Now after you spend an entire day about 6 hours bouncing around between entities pointing at each other. Because it says "Powered by U Haul" but it's not U Haul it's Movinghelp.com which is a third party organization. So after spending an entire day trying to get to someone that can actually help you get answers to the question you have. They don't actually answer your question. They tell you they can take the money you paid and turn it into credit to be used instantly. How is it instant if it takes an entire day to communicate with you. How is this service a help if it ties up your entire day, only to turn around and stand behind the flawed process, then hang up on you. Anyone whom uses this service either has no other choice of is cracked in the head. The is the last time I will ever subject myself to anything that has anything to do with U Haul. There are far better services out there, that are actually trying to service the customer not pretend and take your money. Get a life, and I am, one that doesn't have U Haul in it.
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
Answer: Run do not use this websight they will rip you off and there is no one to talk to never see your money back.
