We hired a moving company through U-Haul/MovingHelp.com for a 3 hour job, and about an hour before it was supposed to start we were informed by the movers that they would be an hour late because a previous job was going longer. Turned out they were two hours late so we ended up loading and moving everything ourselves, and the movers only showed up for the unloading at the new house and worked 45 minutes. The movers communicated to us that we had to request refunds through MovingHelp directly, but later MovingHelp said there was nothing they could do because the movers had already been paid. I genuinely believe the movers were willing to issue a partial refund for the 2 hours not worked but MovingHelp refused to allow it, so we ended up disputing the charge with our credit card company, who immediately refunded us for 2 hours. I would not recommend MovingHelp.com due to the fact that they refused to assist with refund and told us to go after the movers ourselves. Good thing we used a credit card to book them!
Today, i had a very bad expereieence with your customer support executive. The service i booked didn't show up and i called the customer care and explained the problem and asked for a solution. The representive was not provided the solutuina dn instead of that he was explaining the facts and at particule situation he cut the call.
Very very bad service
The company we booked at MovingHelp.com lied to us. When we confirmed they were "on the way". Well, after 2 hours he wasn't taking calls. Straight to voicemail. Heres where this gets interesting. I started with an online chat with an agent named Marisol. I've been in the customer service industry for 30 years and this girl shouldn't be working in Customer Service. She was RUDE an unhelpful. I asked to speak to a manager three times. She wouldn't get me to a manager. Unheard of.
I than called into their customer service number and spoke with Marco. He basically said "too bad, I'll rebook you with another mover but you have to pay the difference". This company is nothing more than a reservation agent for independent movers. They take a fee off the top and don't care a bit about what happens with the mover. Research your mover very carefully. MovingHelp.com could careless about you.
Their website promises professional movers that ensure your belongings make it to your new home safely, what it doesn't say is "Use at your own risk" They do not require their movers to be insured. We hired movers to unload the uhaul we rented to move my 80 year old mother and 86 year old father to be close to us and they robbed them blind of irreplaceable family heirlooms, jewelry including a Rolex watch. Some of the jewelry was my mothers grand mothers, my mother 14 months later is still heart broken and all we could do was hire an attorney to track down the thieves and place a judgement against the owner of the so called moving company who does not appear to have anything of value. movers.com just wants to repeat the fact they are not responsible for damage, loss, theft etc. even though their website would lead you to believe they have checked these people out as they refer to them as professionals and ensure your belongings will make it safely to your new home! DO NOT USE! U-Haul should not be endorsing a company on their website that do not require insurance from the very people being hired to load, move and unload peoples life possessions!
I tried to become a moving helper and Uhaul/ moving help DID NOT approved me because I'm a woman they denied me and said I don't fit there business model and what's that? That I'm not a man! Don't use there site there are others out there
This is by far the most unprofessional and reliable company I have ever come into contact with. I booked my first set of movers who never contacted me. I called, email, texted and no response. The customer service team is a joke; they do not help you at all. I could not get anyone to call and assist me in rescheduling and went back and forth on email with them countless times. I was originally told that I could cancel and rebook for the same price, that was a lie. Paid an additional $40 for the second set of movers the morning before my scheduled move. Same thing as the first: no one called me back or got into contact with me. Went through a nightmare with the customer service again. Waited on the phone for over an hour while they tried to contact companies. They booked me with a third one, who was another $40 extra. They did text, but told me that they could not accommodate my timing. Not surprising considering it was 12 hours before my scheduled move. Do not use movinghelp! I have never written a review in my life until now.
I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. Dennis from Expert Movers through Uhaul's Moving Help website was so rude! He texted me saying he'd be 2.5 hours late for my move and then got angry at me for being disappointed. Then after I waited over 4 hours for Dennis to show up he texted me instructions to cancel the move. He did not pick up any of my phone calls and left me stranded to move alone. Absolutely trash. Uhaul should take Expert Movers off of their website. I am still appalled at how the entire situation happened. And I hope Dennis and Expert Movers see this review. DO NOT USE EXPERT MOVERS THROUGH UHAUL MOVING HELP. You will be stranded on the day of your move.
How many terrible reviews will it take? I should have actually read reviews about MovingHelp rather than trying to find reviews on the "moving company" that I hired through this site. I thought I hired my moving help through Uhaul. It turns out that they redirect you to MovingHelp, which does not require the businesses it advertises to be licensed or even actual companies. I will not write the name of the company I hired, because I've already received angry text messages from him about my review that I posted on MovingHelp.com. However, I will say that our move was less than satisfactory. The two men who came were unprofessional and caused damage to not only our furniture, but the apartment we were leaving as well. We felt so uncomfortable with their service that we decided to unload the furniture at our new house ourselves and not risk any more damage. After I wrote my review and the owner contacted me, I reached out to MovingHelp. They told me that once the move is scheduled, its basically out of their hands. They are not responsible for any of the "companies" that are hired through their site. Any disputes are to be settled between me and the mover. The live chat person was extremely insensitive and spewed pre-written lines about how MovingHelp claims no responsibility. I'm appalled that Uhaul would partner with a company like this
STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT A HEART ATTACK ON YOUR MOVING DAY!
ITS A SHAME THIS COMPANY EXIST. MY EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL AND THEIR RECOMMENDED MOVINGHELP WORKED HAND IN HAND TO MAKE MY MOVING THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. GOOD JOB, MR. JOE & TEAM!
So, me and my family have had numerous moving companies move us around here in Denver within the past three years and they've literally always sucked, so we tried moving helpers for the first time and we used a company called Enermost Matters Moving, and let me tell you that I can't speak for any of the other moving companies listed on moving helpers, but these guy's were absolutely amazing as they moved our four bedroom home into a U-Haul truck beautifully, and efficiently as well, and were so careful of our items and were polite and friendly as they even cleaned oil stains off of my garage floor on their hands and knees, but also took out all of our trash for us and were just the best to the point that I had to leave my first positive moving review ever, and so I absolutely recommend these guy's to anyone to move them as we will use them for every future move from now on. Thanks, Kathy M.
If you ever have a problem with the movers or your reservation, there is no one that will help. Once you pay them online they have no reps to help with any problems that may arise, be it on your end or the movers that you contracted out with. DO NOT USE THIS SITE unless it is to find the name of a mover and book them directly after doing a quick internet search for there phone number.
I booked a Uhaul truck for a long haul move from London Ontario Canada to Charlotte North Carolina. Not knowing anybody in the Charlotte area I made sure to book movers for when we got there. I assumed using a company affiliated with a large company such as Uhaul would be a safe choice. However I was wrong. The Uhaul move went great. But the moving help did not. We found out 4 hours before we arrived to Charlotte that somehow our reservation had been moved from Sunday to Thursday. Considering I only had the truck reserved until the Monday this made no sense to me. Why would the system just move the date without even notifying the customer. How is moving help booked on a day that the customer doesn't even have possession of the rental anymore. I contacted the moving company who was very friendly and tried to help as much as possible but he was unable to do the job on the Sunday. So I was forced to find another company last minute in a city that I am unfamiliar with at nearly double the cost.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. Last week I booked 2 helpers from this website (company is called 5 star movers) and called to confirm the time and place like 3 times with them. On the day they never showed up and called them about 10 times and they never answered the phone and left me hanging and I had to move everything by myself. The next day they immediately cancelled my order so I cannot leave any bad review on their website. Dont waste your time here. Very bad service.
This review is for Centralia Relocation Service.
The movers were scheduled to arrive at 10am. When we contacted them, they said that movinghelp.com had deleted our appointment and the system has been acting up. I did find it a little strange that when we called, they said they were just looking into this. If our appointment had been deleted, how did they know to look into it? When we contacted them again to get an ETA, they told us they would arrive before 12pm. At 12:15, we texted them and asked if they had a new ETA. They told us it would be 2pm. Given that we've "rescheduled" twice, I can't say whether or not I believe they would have actually showed up. Because we had to move our washer and dryer and a few other items at 5pm, 2pm would not work for us. Unfortunately, we had to cancel and we have been left to find friends to help us move (and I've just had tendon surgery).
Known criminals for Grand Theft were sent to me and Stole all my valuables. One is still on probation for Grand Theft. Moving help did NOTHING. You can use their 'dispute resolution' service. Moving help doesn't even read it. If they had, they would see that the movers were lying. I gave a good review initially. They refused to allow me to edit it after I realized all of the damage to my things and the major theft by these movers. I then put in a second review and movinghelp.com deleted it. They don't care at all what happens to the person and the person's belongings. Period.
They do like the commission they receive from the 'movers' and continue to allow those movers to move others after stealing from me. I also asked them to investigate other incidents. Movinghelp.com stated, "MovingHelp.com is a neutral online venue and we cannot be involved in customer disputes. If the Company you hired refuses to pay you the money you feel you are entitled to, you do have the option to seek these funds legally."
Therefore, Movinghelp.com and Uhaul.com does nothing except collect money. Yet, they do become liable when they are aware that movers are criminals and they send them to other people.
This company is a joke. They make you pay upfront for a "Maybe" we can move you. You rent a truck from Uhaul and then you pay them for movers, who can't move you during the hours you have already reserved the truck for. You can't talk to an actual person, you have to email, and they don't read the email, they just reply with a default email. I have been waiting patiently for my refund and it has been over 5 business days. There was no service provided. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. I'm sure with the non-refundable $6.95 you charge each person who you don't provide service for is rip off enough. But you want to hold $200 of my hard earned money. WHAT A JOKE. I'm also convinced that any positive reviews come from YOUR COMPANY AND NOT ACTUAL CLIENTS.
I used to be a moving help provider on movinghelp.com, but recently I was removed for telling them that a company was putting money into his crews bank account and ordering services just to boost their ratings up from a 1.5 star. And I had a misunderstanding with the agreement and thought even if I had family or friends wanting my services as paying customers, that they had to book through movinghelp! I never went to the jobs I sent my crews out and then I submitted the payment codes and just cause the customer had my last name I got accused of making false reviews on my account yet I had no access to that information. And I tried to communicate with movinghelp.com they only have a contact number for customers no contact number for the actual moving helpers. So in a nut shell they just want your money then as soon as they have it they say your on your own. Absolutely no communication. And not professional at all, I mean were all human and we do make mistakes from time to time but as soon as I was told NO! "Family or Friends" could use my services I didn't do it again and it was only 3 days later they just shut me down and said I was warned several times but have documents proving otherwise, and they refuse to email me back to discuss things. They treat people feeders bottom and think they are better than everyone else and have never made a mistake or misunderstanding. If I could I would give this company a -10. Next time go with "MOVERSCOP.COM" And look for Rise And Shine Movers" if your ever moving to the Missouri or Illinois side I know they do an outstanding job and very reasonably priced.
LEFT US HIGH AND DRY! Supposed to pack us up to move and another company to unload... Day of move, no communication until 30 minutes AFTER their prearranged arrival time of 9am. Then said wait awhile until they can get another crew to help us. It would of been around 1pm until someone could help us. NOT including time it took to load furniture, drive to new home. Our appt for unloading was 2pm. Sooooooooooooooo. That left us high and dry. No choice but to beg neighbors and load ourselves. Here we are in our 60's humping boxes and items they were supposed to. Great! NO THANKS! STAY AWAY! No customer service. Their subcontractors seem to be people off the street, unvetted, unqualified grunt workers.
The mover called at the last minute and stated that he could not make it. Left me in a horrible position. And I was billed for a service I never received.
This is the worst service u have ever seen on the planet. The reps are rude, arrogant and I actually feel they are racist by the way they treated me. They hung up on me twice. I requested a copy of the recorded call (as it explicitly says on the menu) due to the horrible nature of the call but each time they hung up. Only one rep gave her name Sarah and she was extremely rude and insulting/disrespectful just like the rest of them she put me on hold for over 30mins and never came back. This is the worst place ive ever seen and I think it should not exist as a business that offer service to the public. HORRIBLE IS THE NICEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE MOVINGHELP.COM
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
Answer: Run do not use this websight they will rip you off and there is no one to talk to never see your money back.
