When something goes bad, and your moving help breaks something, you have no recourse. MovingHelp.Com points out the waiver on their site that absolves them of ALL liability, forcing YOU the customer, to file a lawsuit if your stuff gets ruined.
Their movers are NOT required to carry liability insurance by MovingHelp.Com and most of their movers, I've determined, are just muscle-ey guys who just show up and load or unload, and have no real moving experience and don't really care.
I WAS a loyal customer, but after my antique desk was damaged and I was treated this way, I will NEVER use them again. Ever!
I hired CentrexMoving to help unload my things. They damaged a lot of different things. While CentrexMoving admitted fault, they did not do anything about it. I contacted MovingHelp and they said it was up to the discretion of CentrexMoving and that nothing else could be done. MovingHelp will provide no support. Just keep that in mind.
I used this service to hire movers through Uhaul. "All my kids moving" had great reviews on this site and so I hired them... It was terrible! They never even showed up! I went to Yelp to see they had only 1 star reviews, nothing better than 1 star. Clearly Movinghelp.com filters reviews or creates their own. DO NOT TRUST MOVINGHELP.COM or Uhaul. When my movers did not show up they referred me to another "5 star moving company" that was TERRIBLE... If my stuff makes it to the final destination I will be shocked. They didn't wrap stuff at all. I had to send a payment to the movers moms checking account when they were done, because they said they miscalculated mileage. Very shady! Because the movers looked and acted a bit dangerous I just sent the money to the "mom" on- line and chalked it up as a very bad experience. Please DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE and stay away from UHAUL. Use PODS instead.
Nightmare ~ Never hire them!
No Show day of moving! We even confirmed night prior to move. Day of moving we waited hour past appointment and called. We had to call several times to get someone. When we did the person at Right Choice said they had to check why scheduled help didn't show... we waited again for a call back, nothing! We called again and line was constantly busy. Finally got them again on phone and the response was shocking... the Right Choice person said to us "they didn't show up and that happens sometimes, then told us "nothing we can do, sh*t happens"! We pleated with Right Choice to fiind another crew immediately and we were told NOPE nothing available till next week. We had the 26ft UHaul rented in the drive with All our belongings packed. We were so Upset and angry we demanded a refund and told to contact UHaul.
Just a note, we are both in mid 60's and told them, they didn't care(period)!
Never Ever Ever use this service unless you want pain, suffering, worry, anxiety, stress, high blood pressure and worst communication you can imagine.
This review is mild... really wanted to use 4 letter words to describe them and their so called company!
One last comment, we wanted to write this review on the main UHaul website we used for our reservation, but it's not allowed unless you complete your payment!
Stay Away and tell everyone you know who reads this to never use Right Choice UHaul moving help in Ft Myers and surrounding areas.
Their website promises professional movers that ensure your belongings make it to your new home safely, what it doesn't say is "Use at your own risk" They do not require their movers to be insured. We hired movers to unload the uhaul we rented to move my 80 year old mother and 86 year old father to be close to us and they robbed them blind of irreplaceable family heirlooms, jewelry including a Rolex watch. Some of the jewelry was my mothers grand mothers, my mother 14 months later is still heart broken and all we could do was hire an attorney to track down the thieves and place a judgement against the owner of the so called moving company who does not appear to have anything of value. movers.com just wants to repeat the fact they are not responsible for damage, loss, theft etc. even though their website would lead you to believe they have checked these people out as they refer to them as professionals and ensure your belongings will make it safely to your new home! DO NOT USE! U-Haul should not be endorsing a company on their website that do not require insurance from the very people being hired to load, move and unload peoples life possessions!
Customer service at its worst. Expect to get bullied as a customer. There is no curtesy straight demands or threat to pill out resource in the middle of the job and will leave you stranded if the job takes a little longer. No validation of the estimate before start of the work. They play around showing up at your destination instead of origin place and eat time jut over commute. Pretty bad service and dont expect any help. If you happen to hire ensure youre on close watch as they would some stuff inspite of repeated reminders if they are heavy. Go get ready to be stranded once you hire them. Most unprofessional service.
Veteran Movers stole my money because they never came to my home to do the job. I was contacted by Joe that verified all my information and asked for the payment code. They should have been there at 10am on 11/5/20 but they didn't show. Calls and texts were unanswered. Moving Help backs these thieves and won't hold them accountable.
I hired a company through MovingHelper and they did a really bad job loading my U-Haul. I called the owner of the company and told him before I would pay for the services and he said we would deal with any damages once I arrived in Florida because he believed his guys had done a great job after speaking to them. WRONG! Several items were damaged and MovingHelper takes no responsibility for the company's they recommend people to use on their site. I consider this false advertising as well as misleading customers and taking their money and leaving it up to the customer to fight for reimbursement for damages.
Our mover canceled last minute and after calling both U-Haul, MovingHelp, and using the chat feature, we were left out to dry. No other movers were provided for us and the customer service was TERRIBLE. Now we are on the hook to move on our own.
Not only did they cancel last minute, but they required US to log on and do the cancellation. Furthermore, the customer service at both U-Haul and Moving Help were extremely incompetent and unhelpful. No attempt at rectifying our situation was made.
If you want an easy, stress free move DO NOT USE MOVING HELP. You're better off hiring high schoolers at this point
Absolutely horrible - horrible packing - damage to furniture and property - they didn't take care of my property. The damaged the front door when they removed it. Property stolen and damaged. They came unprepared for the job without boxes and needed to use my boxes without any credits. Moving Help is nothing more than a stunt by UHaul to keep business away from competitors. These movers use UHaul and one hand washes the other.
I paid for 6 hours and only got 4 hours of work out of 2 employee with All 4 you movers. Now the excuse was they couldn't understand how the system allowed us to book them for Saturday due to them being over booked that morning. My $380 was already taken from my account and we needed to move asap so I could not wait for refund so the guy called an agreed to move us on Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. That gave us less than 12 hours to pack everything which was stressful when we thought we had at 45 hours to pack. We stayed up the entire 12 hours packing overnight. Only for 2 guys to show up and seem tired during the loading of uhaul to the unloading of the uhaul. We get to new apt and the lead guy said well I have to get to another job so they would only unload the HEAVY items ONLY. Mind you not one of us had any sleep, been up all night thinking we had help moving as im disabled and can't help. So not only the movers had additional help from my son and husband they still left us with a uhaul FULL OF BOXES. That my husband & son couldn't finish by them selves. We had to keep the truck an extra 2 days due to my husband had to start his new job. And finally come Sunday 11/1/20 my 2 sons & my husband finished unloading uhaul boxes. I originally placed order on 10/29/20 reserved uhaul for Saturday 10/31/20. After phone call on Thursday 10/29/20 w/ All 4 you movers we agreed to pick up the uhaul earlier to be squeezed into their schedule for Friday after again only given us than 12 hours to prepare. Yes I'm mad, upset and frustrated- all bundled in one. I didn't get what I paid for and they left us stuck out with a loaded truck, we had to pay extra 2 days due to no way for us to return the truck same day. Beware using this service movinghelp.com. You never know who will show up.
The level of "who cares" that was put into moving my things was astounding. Almost every piece of furniture was scratched or damaged in some way. My grandmothers antique table has multiple gouges taken out of it. They were provided moving blankets and instead of using them they just threw the bags in the trailer. AVOID AT ALL COST. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
We booked movers a week in advance. I got a call from Kenny at movinghelp.com. I was told that not only would they call the day before but 30 minutes before they got there. The day of the move no one showed up. We called and the mover said "oh, yeah, I meant to call you. I'm on my way to Indiana". Rebecca spent half the day to get another mover there to help. We were charged for the first guy that flaked AND twice the rate that he was getting for the second guy. There's no customer service number to call so you have to sit on eternal hold with uhaul for them to transfer you. When I spoke with John at customer service he said I can refund the first job since it didn't happen. Is that all you need... oh no there's a matter of the $335 charged to my card! He said since it was same day service it would cost more. Not my fault. He ended up not doing anything since they are just a marketing place. Called the bank to dispute the whole charge! Btw... they don't have a number listed but HERE IT IS! *******110
There's supposed to be a payment code for each mover you reserve, and they don't release payment from your account to the movers unless you provide them with the code that they then submit to uhaul as proof service was provided. Somehow my first mover got paid without me releasing the payment code and WITHOUT EVEN SHOWING UP! Find friends or hire people directly, AVOID MOVINGHELP.COM at all costs.

If anyone at movinghelp.com would like to resolve this issue, it's been 5 days since I started calling, 3 days since my case was created and 20 minutes since I initiated your "live chat" service. I am very upset and my case number is #*******. If you bother to contact me for a change, make it good.
We went through U-haul and movinghelp.com twice to hire movers to help us load. Both times, they never showed up and quit responding to phone calls or texts after they had confirmed that they would be there. After 20 minutes on hold with U-haul, they sent us to movinghelp.com who said they couldn't do anything to get new support and that we should call U-haul for a refund. Refunds don't help you when you drive 5 hours to a storage unit to load and then have to drive another 5 hrs to your home. Uhaul and moving help should have made an effort to arrange replacements but they are too stupid to be useful and they told us this was a common problem and they aren't willing to do anything about it. I hold Uhaul responsible for this chronic problem because they refuse to hold their subcontractors responsible or at least boot them off the site for not showing up. No one in my family will NEVER EVER use U-haul or movinghelp again and we move A LOT.

I tried and tried to contact in and out movers with no response. I decided to cancel my move request via text after which I was called by someone at the company who then started to harass me. I hung up and they called again. I hung up again and they called a third time.
DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS! They did still charge me though they were useless.
Twice I booked a moving service thru MovingHelp and twice I was called back and told that I would have to choose a different company. The last time just days before I was scheduled to move with NO GUARANTEE that the new company would be available. NOT ACCEPTABLE!
I had arranged for Forte movers to help me move, disabled from cancer, to move me about three miles, Not only were they three hours late, no communication, then an hour later and mind you, I am sitting in a car outside of the house I was moving from with a Uhaul truck and receive a text they are around the corner. I text and called numerous time to no avail
Another 1.5 hours later another two said they were coming and it took them another half an hour to get there
I was told by one of the movers do NOT give them the payment code that it was free. I went to tip them and they said again it is free
I contacted my bank and disputed the cost, Now I just talk to the owner and since this was a couple of months ago, He said there are no free moves and when I brought up the payment code, He said he never heard of a payment code
We all know there is a payment code. Stay away
Hired a company thru moving help and will never do that again. I get no answer from either party about any of the damages they did to my furniture, and the movers didn't finish the job. Next time I move I'll call someone direct, forget the middleman, and pay less in labor. Both parties were a rip-off and will never recommend to anyone.
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
