THE WORST MONEY SERVICE EVER! WILL BE CONTACTING THE NEWS REGARDING THIS, IAM CANADIAN AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY FROM COSTA RICA... THEY SENT MONEY 3 TIMES IN 2019 2 IN THE SAME DAY FOR WEDDING EXPENSES AND THEY BLOCKED ME BUT DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO SAY IT. EVERYTIME I TRY TO RECEIVE MONEY FROM MY COUSIN, MOM, STEP BROTHER, STEP SISTER... IT GETS REJECTED. THE LOCAL OFFICE MAKES IT VERY CLEAR THAT IT IS MONEYGRAM REJECTING IT. WHY?!? I HAVE LIVED IN CANADA FOR A LONG TIME AND NEVER ENCOUNTERED PROBLEMS TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM MY FAMILY. THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A CRIMINAL.

They seized my money transfer and I never got paid. Lost 700$ and I tried to make a complaint but the guy on the phone said they have no complaint departement. This is the closest thing to fraud. When the sender called they started asking alot of personal questions. DO NOT USE MONEYGRAM I LOST 700$

On 5/12/20 I used Moneygram to send my son $140. He couldn't pick it up that day so I cancelled the transaction. I received an email confirmation of cancellation stating a charge will show on my account but the credit will be completed in 3 to 10 business days. It has been 27 business days. I have verified the charge with my bank showing on 05/14/20 and no credit as of 6/12/20. I have proof. I spoke with a Moneygram representative today. He hung up on me after stating the credit has taken place and there isn't anything else he could do for me. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he was the supervisor then repeated that he is going to end the call. I promptly contacted my bank which thankfully requested that I forward the cancellation email to him. I say thankfully as the original cancellation confirmation email mysteriously is missing from my email account. Did you know that companies can recall an email? They can and they did. They purposely erased my only "proof" that a cancellation took place. My bank is investigating. I went to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint only to find out I am the 701st person to file a complaint against them in 3 years. Imagine how many others there are that just didn't know to file a complaint! How is this company still in business? Why isn't anyone doing anything about it? Moneygram targets poor people that don't have access to technology or have bank accounts. I only used them as my son is one of those people. Since, I set him up on Paypal. Please, somebody do something about these crooks!

Sent my sister money and when she went to pick it up she was denied. I had plenty of money to transfer and no reason was given to why it didn't go thru. Stick with Western Union more reliable!

I send the Money to an old lady my aunt, everything was fine, USerid, when she went to cash it, they will not ca$#*! in Medillin, this is the third time with Moneygram. Go and check my record, I have to cancel it, instead of refund of 204.99, you refunded $200, I need 4.99 ASAp, I am contacting BBB and the federal agency who monitors you and also my congressman.

I bought a money order in Walmart and sent it to US immigration and it was sent back to me took it to Walmart and they said it has a stamp on it, I tried calling moneygram and they never picked, I followed the instructions to return the order and they

My dad passed away I sent money to my brother for funeral which is my mom son they don't give him the money when i call they said because there is a lot of fraud I have to give his birthday, why were don't have the same last name and he picked up another person last name ask me if I send money for that person before (I never know that person) after 45mns of interrogation he told me my brother can go ahead and pick up the money, while he went to the place to pick it up the guy already canceled the transaction he being lying to me the whole time please don't use this company if you need the money on hurry use XOOM from PayPal thank you I never use them again and I make sure none of my friends and families use them I can't wait to see them out of business

SENT £2500. 00, £83.00 COMMISSION TO THE STATES. THE RECEIVER WAS TOLD HE CAN'T COLLECT THE MONEY AS THEY NEED TO SPEAK WITH ME. CALLED THEM, SCRUTINIZING ME WITH LOADS OF QUESTIONS. AT THE END OF THE DAY, THEY TOLD ME THAT MY MONEY NEED TO BE RETURNED BACK TO ME. REASONS- I CAN'T SEND MONEY TO BUY A CAR BUT I CAN SEND MONEY TO FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT USELESSSSS!

Cant get the funds back

I sent funds and reciever had an error didnt like the people and cancelled the send went to a 711 store in another city only to be told I would have to go back to the sending store to recover the funds which is a 2 1/2 hrs drive away only to be told 7-11 stores no longer payout or send money yet the machine is still in the the store. Order was cancelled and a collect number was issued to be collected at another store which they stated would pay out when arriving at this store being a 2 hrs drive the owner said he was no longer accredited to pay out and something about the fees the most interesting part was his comment about forex trading as he did this his view was they hang on to the money as long as possble as they make money from your funds while in their hands
After calling the call center with people whos english is extremely hard to understand I was once again told all the stores I could get my money back from one does not exist anymore and 7-11 has terminated paying out or sending moneygram seems to be a pretty hard thing to get your money back guess a few phone calls to financial regulators to have a look at this may get a refund of my money
Moneygrams web page for location is very out of date certainly not a group I would send money thru again and pretty much lesson learnt dont send money to others thats not your family of known to you
Cant say the call center people are very helpful and certainly would not let me discuss this with a more senior staff member just the usual muck you around policy as is most large companies
