VERY hard to reach a person when you have a problem. They only shipped a small part of an order but I have to wait three weeks to get refunded. Customer service is NOT real for them
Tombow dual brush pens at Hobby Lobby are $14.99 and for the same exact set at micheals it was $26.99! That's crazy. I have put the ban on Micheals. That's total gouging.
As many times as I have "stupidly" tried to place on online order for delivery, coupons don't work, lies or omissons are made about what is eligible to ship. Not until you spend an hour or more shopping to meet what they are the requirements, when you get to the cart, Nooooo, there is some other rule that is not found anywhere else while you are shopping. I kept adding to my cart today with "Michaels" products to meet the $ threshold for free shipping, but it did not apply that discount. Michaels, you lie, cheat, take my time and and are a deceptive company! I am done.
Went to the store with my wife today, there were dozens of signs that read 40% off spring floral arrangements all around the store. My wife picks out several pieces and other various items and heads to the cashier. The cashier says the spring floral pieces she picked are not the items for discount. The signs clearly stated Ashley brand spring floral and nothing more, the exact brand my wife had picked. I went and snapped a picture of the isle with several of the signs directly on the bins she chose from but they still said "Nope, Sorry"...not sorry. I asked them what the point was of having dozens on signs around the store. Pissed off, I gathered all the signs in the store, brought them to the cashiers and asked them to "toss em' in the trash", because they are worth nothing more than that. Terrible service, and zero f's given. Doller store has more class than this place!
I checked michaels website for impeccable yarn colour Aran and it showed stock. I got in my car and drove out. When I got there, there was no stock. I found a lady stocking yarn in the next aisle. I said good morning (it was just after 10 am), she would not even look at me, just continued stocking. When she finished, she snarled yes?! At me. I asked her if she knew where there was impeccable yarn Aran Color. She went to the section and said "yup, it's out, none on order, and none in the back" so I said that's odd on line shows stock. So she says, I COULD NOT believe this, with a smirk on her face, "guess you'll have to order on line then. I left and I have never felt so unwelcome and snubbed. I will never go back to that store again. She was so rude!
Michael's arts and crafts stores are closer to me than Jerry's. I won't shop at Hobby due to their stance on several society issues. That said I always try to give Michael's business first. Normally it's very sound. The last few times I went to Manchester CT and Mansfield CT stores. Manchester I went in looking for product which they were out of stock. There was no one on the floor to assist me with questions. Finally when I went to the checkout to ask for help, the older woman asked this checkout guy to assist me and he wandered off to do something else. If I had done something like that when I worked, I would have been severely scolded if not terminated the very same day. Sheer ignorance and not customer oriented at all. Then I went to Mansfield to get the last product they had in stockā¦a Cricut Maker 3. The box was damaged when I purchased but I had no idea how bad the damage was inside the box til I got it home. I called the store infuriated as the whole machine looked like a bomb had fallen on it. But do you think anyone would do anything immediately to make the customer happy. This is a regularly $400+ machine. These stores are sadly lacking the support of their base, which are the creators that are suppose to be helping to heal our communities through art! How sad that we are being left treated like everyone else. I hate buying $#*! online, but if that comes to it, I will gladly abandon Michael's and other art places in the future.
I was experiencing a frustrating day shopping for Spring decorations and decided at last moment to see what MICHAELS had to offer. Jean at the Onalaska, WI store went above and beyond my expectations with her excellent customer service. I am very happy with my purchase and will not hesitate to visit MICHAELS at a future date. Thank you Jean!
I picked up an order of 6 large canvases today and once I got home I noticed that 4 of them were badly damaged. I drove 2 hours out of my way to get the canvases because only 3 could fit into my car and I had to make 2 trips. Once I got home and got the canvases out of my car, I noticed that 4 of them had badly damaged corners so I called up management and spoke to a lady called Lilian. Lilian was incredibly rude to me and put the phone down on me when I was asking if there was anything she could do. I was very nice on the phone, kept very cool and simply asked if there was a way I could send photos of the damaged canvases to the company as driving another 2 hours with another 2 trips to get the canvases back to her and an extra trip to drive back with the new and undamaged canvases was a lot of work and hassle for me when someone on their floor made a bad mistake. I am pretty sure the canvases must have been stored at the back because no professional artist would buy these canvases on the floor with the amount of damage they had. Right now, I am shocked that this lady called Lilian is even a manager. She behaved like a child and clearly has emotional issues or anger issues. How can any management employ somebody so unprofessional. I am appalled at the lack of customer service. Shame on management. I will never go back to this store ever again.
I've never bought anything from Michaels.com and I'm not even in the same country. Yet I received advertising email that addressed by name. Not cool. There's not even an unsubscribe link in the email. Unethical
I will never stop with this mf company never again I ordered something and ask the driver to please ring me door bell and I will come to the door and get my stuff and I was told by one of your employees that they txt me and l told her how can they txt a home phone and I no she was lying at that point and she told me to take it up with my bank and I will just take it up with the Better Business Bureau complaints and I will never in like shop with your company and your company get very poor star with this customer
Unfortunately after purchasing an item today at Michaels I realize that it was inappropriately placed and/or labeled at their store so when trying to use the Silhouette Cameo replacement blade I realized that it was instead a rotary blade. I scrambled to get to the Michael store and arrived at 8:57. Upon arrival I realize that I would not be able to run in and purchase the item I needed because they had locked the doors early. I was able to call and get a hold of one of the employees and when she sent me to her manager he basically hung up on me. I will not be purchasing anything from this store in the future. I certainly realize the challenges of staffing and have my own challenges as somebody who is managing staff as well as working for over 30 years in a variety of customer service positions. However, this is poor customer service in all regards. To hang up on a customer and not give them an opportunity to search for something that would take one minute is pretty rude, especially when you don't honor your store hours. I guess I will be shopping elsewhere.
Larry did an AMAZING job with taking care of us. He knew what he was doing and overall made our experience amazing.
I placed order for same day delivery, and used my vouchers. They canceled almost everything but one item. Which still I never received even 2 days later. Never got my vouchers back also!
They are currently selling a Schylling Toy guitar in store for $41.99 (so called SALE PRICE 20%off). It can be bought at another retailer for $11.99 each. NO THANKS MICHAELS. You are a RIP OFF plain and simple. And your sales staff are the rudest in the industry. I cant provide a proof of purchase because I walked out without buying and then discovered it was available for less than 1/3 the price.
Very dissatisfied with this company both as a customer and as an employee. It's not clean ever. No one is efficient. Always understaffed. Customers are rude. Everyone is too busy on the management staff to help anyone including lower class staff. Should be shut down by dept of health
I ordered for the first time from Michaels. It sated it would arrive on a certain date, well it did not. I waited and waited the date kept pushing out. I contacted MIchael's and they stated all they can do is replace or refund. If i replaced it it would take an additional 4-6 days. WTH are you serious instead of them shipping it ASAP they did not accomodate. If anyone is going top order please be aware that the date of delivery is just a suggestion. So beware and don't trust.
Today morning I was at Burlington store. After waiting on the line for half an hour, big line up was made. The only cashier called and another one came. I broke my nail and it was bleeding and I asked for the band aid. She said we don't offer it. I complained about the line up and she rudely responded to me. One of the worst customer service I have ever had.
When I bought my product, I realized I had made a mistake. I tried to cancel the order immediately, but this option on the website did not work. I started a chat with King D., a customer service representative. I was told my order was canceled. The next day I checked my account, and my order was ready to ship. When I emailed again to cancel, I was told it was not possible. I wrote an email back to explain the situation. And I am still waiting for a response.
It was the last time I bought something from this store: bad customer service and no way to cancel the product.
Ordered 5 items for Christmas gifts. Waited several days for updates. Found out only after I tracked shippment that the items were out of stock and or damaged. Was told they would sne replacements only to find out a week later they were also out of stock. I had to call to find that out. NEVER WILL I ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN
I went in for art supplies well some yeso to help create textures on my paintings...when I approached the cashier the tall man employee whispered some things in the cashier's ear. I felt so awkward. I don't appreciate unprofessionalism at any level. I try to make people feel welcome and invited. I will not return here or any location!
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
