Complete fraud! Do not buy anything!
11/7 - placed an order,
11/8 - credit card transaction cleared,
11/26 (approximately) - support ticket opened requesting help with an update,
11/27 - confirmation of a support ticket with basically a "we're busy now" response.
Today is 12/15, no response, no merchandise, money taken over a month ago.
Placed an order back on June 24th order shows in stock yet mine is still processing. I've contacted customer service three times and have gotten the same answer " our supplier has it allocated and you will receive an email when it ships" it's going on two months now, they had no issues taking my money but can't seem to supply the product, at this point I feel they have no concern if it ships or not they got paid and that seems to be their only concern. Would not recommend using this company, customer service is absolutely nonexistent.
As an artist on Spotify, they are selling our "official" merch with no contract in place. We've never received a penny, hopefully because fans have been smart enough to avoid them. One product they are offering is out of print so good luck with that. When we've reached out, the only response is "someone will be in touch. They are riping off both fans and artists. Stay clear, buy direct from artists when possible.
Placed an order at 7:48 Sunday morning (12/11/22). Immediately sent in a cancellation when I realized what I ordered was the lesser version of what my husband wanted (single lp vs 4 lp set). Immediately canceled and received the automated reply at 7:50. Two minutes! Got an actual human reply at 9:07 that they would 'try' to cancel the order. They didn't try anything at all - the order was not shipped until about 2 am on 12/13. Now they say it is not returnable because it is vinyl. This company is only after your money, and hopefully they won't stay in business long pulling these scams.
I don't know if this company is a scam or just a middleman distributor at the mercy of poor supply management. Either way, their online store advertises shipping within a week, but I still haven't received ordered records two months out. They did reply and offer a cancellation and refund, but noted they were just experiencing "processing" issues. Just weird this company is linked via Spotify. Probably better off from buying from your local record shop, direct via artist or record label.
I'm only giving this site two stars because I did actually receive a vinyl album from them in good time and it was at a good price. The other one I ordered, however, was a different story. I ordered "In Flames - Reroute to Remain (Remaster 2023/2LP/Trans Red)" from them on 3/2/2024. This was marked as "in stock" when I ordered it. On 3/13, I noticed there was no movement at all on the item, so I emailed them asking about the status. I went back to the site and located the album I purchased and sure enough, it showed as "in stock." So what was the issue?
They replied back on the same day (props for that, at least), saying
"We apologize for the delay in shipping your Reroute To Remain vinyl record order. Unfortunately, we've encountered some unforeseen processing issues and currently don't have an estimated ship date. In some cases, updates may not be available until your order ships, at which point you'll receive a notification."
Ok. But you have it as in stock. Is it the same stock? Did you offer me a replacement? A discount?
Nothing. Just generally dismissive and a "you'll get it when you get it" attitude.
I waited a few weeks and emailed again on 4/10/2024, thinking I might get a different answer from someone different. Nope. Same answer, pretty much and same attitude.
I canceled my order soon after. I don't care if they have a lot of music that I like at good prices. If you let companies get away with treating people like this, they'll normalize bad behavior and that's the last thing we need in these times.
I've unsubscribed to their email. I'd rather pay more to get the actual item than to donate to some vapor media that will never arrive. This is what I get for trying to support other online sellers besides Amazon. If Amazon did what they did, they would have more than made up for it somehow.
Merchbar is my go-to for artist-related memorabilia. I have found some really cool deals on Merchbar vinyl. Just check out the artist roster and see all the amazing bands you can get Merch from in one place! Great service. Highly recommended!

Don't buy backorders from Merchbar, if the order is not fullfilled within 120 days it's supposed to automatically refund. However, despite well over 120 days passing there was no refund. They kept moving the 'estimate' of when it will be shipped a month forward every month. Merchbar counts on you forgetting about the order so that they can keep the money. Don't do it, its a complete sham.
Merchbar has a great selection of vinyl and other merch but it's a lure. You place an order, they charge your credit card and you hear from them only after it's shipped. If there's a backorder, you don't get a notification, even months later. That's weak, and you're not going to see your $$ back unless you complain to them.
Does anybody know of a more reputable source for vinyl?
Thanks
Renzo
After waiting two months with no updates from multiple emails, I was able to track down a phone number for MerchBar. I did call and did get ahold of someone. They were of no help unfortunately. A single part of my vinyl order showed up in the stipulated time frame. The bulk of the order was over two months late. I stopped payment with my credit card company and mysteriously within a day or two my order was switched to shipped. The super short version is that MerchBar is not a company I would order from again. Lack of people to talk to was a scary ideal when they have your money and no timetable for delivery of the product, nor a helpful customer service agent to ease your mind. If you like uncertainty of your order with no help from the company supplying you with the material...this company is for you. If you like communication and transparency and a guarantee you will get your ordered product timely-do not order from MerchBar.
I ordered a record on backorder. After about a month I check the status. No update, but the website now says the record is in stock. So I email support asking when it will be sent. They say they had "processing issues" and can help me refund my order now if I "wish not to wait any longer." A legitimate business would reach out to a customer to let them know processing wasn't working and let them know they have canceled the order so their customer isn't just out the money. If I had never reached out, I would never have gotten this taken care of. Seems like they were hoping I would forget so they can pocket the money.
Additionally, how are you going to say you'll help me cancel the order if I don't wish to wait any longer without any clarification of the issue or a time frame? How long are we talking? The communication with me when there has been an issue has been indifferent, unhelpful, and fully pushed forward by me. $#*! you guys
Bought a vinyl for my son at college for xmas, and he had that one already, so we tried to exchange it - completely un-opened and brand new still, and they said no. Terrible policies here.
I ordered a record back in AUGUST. I messaged every month asking if it was coming and they said to be patient with them and yes it was. In December (14th) I asked for a refund. They said the order had been canceled ( no one told me or refunded me) and the refund needed to be processed. Here it is January 3rd and still no record, no refund. I called Amex and they took care of it which I have never had to dispute a charge before.
Beware, I have placed 2 orders one took over 3 weeks to fill and the other has been since March 7, and they are still advertising the album as IN STOCK, fast delivery which is a lie. They blame the delay on their suppliers but the suppliers aren't running the ad and taking your money. I have notified the FTC about their business practices and looking at a Class Action Suit Against them since there seem to be plenty of disgruntled customers out here. If you are one contact the FTC, file a report, and don't buy from Merchbar.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. My first order was Feb. 16 2024, America Now Playing. It was Feb 23 before I received a confirmation and only after I contacted them. I was told, "we've encountered some unforeseen processing issues and currently don't have an estimated ship date." I finally received the item on March 8. In the meantime, I ordered 2 more albums on March 7 which I still haven't received and they ram my credit card 2 weeks ago. I contacted them and received the same excuse. The funny thing is that their website claimed both albums were in stock and their banner at the top claims fast shipping, both lies. People should not have to put up with this kind of misleading practice so If this happens to you go to the Federal Trade Commission Website,https://www.ftc.gov/media/71268, and file a complaint. It may help end this practice and hold them accountable for their misleading ads.
I ordered 4 items, two of which were stated to be fulfilled by Live Nation. Four weeks later I have received one item, and have two invalid tracking numbers for the other items. Their cust svc reply simply stated that they are from reputable shippers and they're certain they'll arrive. FTC mandates require that items be delivered in 30 days or refunded, so I'm sure the latter will be happening soon in accordance with federal law. The one star is for the $10 item with $3 tracking fee that I actually did receive.
They advertise items as "In Stock" with estimated arrival dates, even a countdown timer on a "sale" when they have no stock. I have ordered a record that is still showing in stock with estimated delivery times of about a week. It has been a month and when you want to cancel they will refuse saying they have already given your money to the actual supplier providing the product. They are basically a glorified pre-order front end for other businesses.
I attempted to order the same jersey on two separate occasions. After waiting with no notifications concerning the order I wrote several emails to finally a week later receive a response saying my order didn't go through...neither order went through. What a joke this company is. If you really want to receive whatever you order go somewhere else. If I could give 0 stars I would.
They are only a reseller. They don't have any "merch" or albums. They take your order and then fulfill it through other third party sources. Takes forever to get your product. Plus your shipping costs are A LOT higher than what they quoted because it's more third party vendors shipping to you.
What is worse, their policy for returns on vinyl records is HORRIBLE. They will not accept unopened vinyl records that are retorted. They will only take back a vinyl record if it is "defective" (but YOU pay return shipping.). So you don't open an item, but that still will not take a return. That is hella crazy.
POS company. Plenty more ethical companies selling merch. Move on.
The website customer service doesn't give you an estimated shipping time that is true.
The website says that the order can arrive in over 2 months, but it's been over 5 months since I ordered vinyl and after all 5 months I didn't receive any update about the shipment process!
I ordered also a vinyl from Spotify store of the same band (Covet) that was on pre-order and promised to start the shipment in July, and they did send an update.
It's like Merchbar doesn't want your money. Stay away at all costs!
