My husband has had three surgeries at the Woodlands Texas facility. Because we are self-pay, they demand payment up front. In all three instances, he took a cashier's check. For the last surgery, he gave them a cashier's check for $15,000. After the dust settled, it was determined he was due a refund of approximately $5,000. The surgery was in July, 2024. Today is Oct. 11,2024, and still no refund. After yet making another call, he was told that checks are cut on the first of every month, with a 30 day hold. When he asked to speak to a supervisor, he was told that was not possible; as they could only call him back. Apparently, the people that handle the refunds don't even accept calls. He was told that customer service reps can't even call them. They can only be contacted by e-mail. This is frustrating and ridiculous. We held up our end of the bargain, please hold up yours. We are not wealthy people. $5,000 is a substantial amount of money to us.

My experience with this Memorial Hermann Hospital is that, when they can - and when they have to, to protect their money and reputations - they will lie, cheat and cripple a patient, as they did me.
Perhaps all you need to know is that they are a hospital, and they employ more lawyers than doctors.
Dr. Michael Greaser: he butchered my feet, immediately sent me to his team of highly compensated lawyers, and would never see me again, knowing that he had crippled me.
David Callender, CEO of Memorial Hermann: I asked him, I begged him, I pleaded with him for his assistance and compassion. He literally was never respond with one word to my Federal Express letters, e-mails or voice mails. In my opinion, he is a Crime Boss and should be put in jail.
I paid these people lots of money for the competency, compassion and humanity that the Hippocratic Oath requires they swear to honor and uphold. Yet, full well knowing how much damage that they had done to me, they were happy to treat me as though I was roadkill on the side of Interstate 10.
I would like to close by saying that there are tons of honorable hospitals and doctors in Houston and Texas. I swear to you that when Dr. Michael Greaser and Memorial Hermann Hospital and their criminal CEO, David Callender, severely injured me, they treated me in a manner that is felonious, godawful and inhumane. And I'd like you to ask yourself why, if they injure you, they would treat you any differently than they treated me, a man that never did anything to them except as them for medical help and pay them lots of money.
Not in a vengeful way, but not wanting you to be put through the six kinds of hell that Michael Greaser and Memorial Hermann Hospital put me through, I want to ask you to find another doctor and Hospital than Greaser and Memorial Hermann.
Thank you for reading my review. Tom Boone.
