Mason Jars

I ordered from Belgium some Mason jars lids and rings because I wanted real Mason quality. I ordered from the site masonjars.com I paid 75 dollars for shipping plus some custom taxes because I didn't want to risk getting "fake" or bad quality lids here in Belgium. I was horrified when I opened the box.
My order of lids and rings arrived in brown paper bags instead of new green boxes. Some lids
Were scratched (se pictures).
Inside each brown bag, there was a very unpleasant smell: it is impossible even after washing to place those lids on food.
I lost with this company 150 dollars because of 75 dollars shipping plus additional custom taxes. They said by mail after I complained that they repackage the lids and rings after selling the glass jars with "pour lids"… So these lids have been handled by people, have been stored nobody knows how and are being sold as "new" in brown paper bags without telling the customer. We had to put all of the lids and rings in closed plastic bags because the smell was terrible. I have no words for what happened…This is suppose to be a serious company who sells new products… with the name mason jars…

Do not buy Mason products, they are made in china, they falsely advertise with the American flag! I ordered a lot of wide mouth canning lids for $115.00, what I recieved was lids not in small boxes like usual, I recieved random amounts of lids in plastic zip lock bags, which some look like they were stepped on, random amounts in small cardboard containers, crushed boxes I should say, In the plastic bag they were delivered in had white powder, looked like white dirt. When I emailed them saying I wanted my money back, they gave me a song and dance telling me they could only give me like $40.00 back, and for me to get the whole amount would take over a month. I will never purchase another mason product, I will be buying Ball or real American made canning products! They are thieves and not to be trusted.

I ordered 48 wide mouth lids in November. I started to use them to can carrots. The first batch I used two ball jar lids I already had and four of the masonjar lids. The two ball jar lids sealed; the four masonjar lids did not. (they puckered along the seal line).

In addition, these lids (which were shipped from China) were supposed to arrive in 7-12 days and took three weeks and when I got my credit card bill there was an additional "fee" charged to my account.

I tried to email the company but the email wouldn't go through.

I bought four of the mason jar pour lids and within a short amount of time they either broke or the seals stopped working. Apparently the warranty is only 30 days (well of course they'll last that long). When I contacted the company to inquire about the warranty and see if this was typical, I was given one $7.00 credit to my account, which covered one lid. Shipping would have been extra. I was not going to buy more. I told them to keep the credit. They never responded. I won't be doing business with them again.

Big or small, large or wide, these jars are just perfect for every storage. Great value for money. Surely recommended.

I've eaten there during the pandemic (outside), and most recently inside. I have to give the lobster cobb salad two thumbs up! It has everything I love in a cobb salad plus a generous portion of lobster meat—easily a full tail and a claw!

Our baked brie with raspberry jam appetizer was delicious! I'd like to see that become a regular item on the menu.

However, the bartender on that night needs a lesson in making a Manhattan. I requested a bourbon Manhattan and wasn't offered any choice of bourbons. (Since we were not near the bar, I had no way to know what they had on the bar back.) It had very little sweet vermouth which had settled on the bottom of the glass (definitely not shaken or stirred) and came with several ice cubes filling the glass. Not a hint of bitters, either. At least there was a cherry, lol. It was a quick and lazy Manhattan.
