MarketWatch's reputation has significantly declined, with customers expressing frustration over perceived censorship and biased reporting that favors specific political narratives. Many users feel that their comments are unfairly rejected, undermining the platform's claim of being an open forum for discussion. Additionally, complaints regarding subscription issues, poor customer service, and a lack of useful content have emerged, leading to dissatisfaction among former supporters. While some users still appreciate the site's financial information, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, indicating a need for improvement in both content quality and customer engagement practices.

I have been trading for 6 years. The truth about this group is that they are directly involved with Hedge fund manipulation. The are liable. They are criminal. I will never take advice from people that manipulate the game.
Take it for what it's worth. I am a retail trader. I grind everyday. These people care more about the guys making $20M per week then they will ever care about giving you advice!
Market watch is given out false news regarding the Israeli and Palestinians in Jerusalem. All other news articles are saying the same thing that Israelis are attacking the Muslim in the mosque while they were worshiping in the month of Ramadan but MarketWatch news was saying Palestinians are attacking (what with stones) no one can see guns in the Palestinian hands. Please if you can't get your story right and trying to spread lies then don't write no news. We don't want to hear your rubbish.
Marketwatch used to be one of my go-to for any financial news. But now, all the articles and news in MW is paid subscriptions. There is no way you can read any news if you click on any links from their main page.
They are notorious... on their page, they say that inorder to read the news you need to either subscribe or login using an account (either FB or google or their own). But when you sign up and login, then they still display message to subscribe inorder to read any news or articles. Crucked people... BOYCOTT MARKETWATCH... teach them a lesson and make them shut down their website.
Seriously, who in their right mind would pay for opinionated news?
No way I'd pay to read what people think no matter how long they've been in the market.
How absolutely terrible of you to post that article and be on the hedge funds side. Talk about market manipulation and scare tactics at its finest. I hope you're happy with your selves.
Since they can travel to the future and back I am sure they already saw this review and still did what they did anyway!
They are so good that they can tell when a stock will plummet 30 minutes before it does! Amazing!
You idiots couldn't $#*! your way out of my girlfriends vagina. Thanks for publishing 30 minutes before the actual crash. We were able to sell and not be affected.
We know the deal. Cat is out of the bag. Start looking for a new scam... we can see everything you do...
Good night Marketwatch... yes we know you are all paid off by hedge funds to spread fear and doubt and encourage panic selling - but to accidentally post your article 35 minutes BEFORE the co-ordinated crash of a stock price actually happens is straight up $#*!ed.
Enjoy the SEC investigation...
Fake News. They are in bed with the Hedgies. They know the future before it happens. Next time they tell you a stock dropped before it happened, use it to your advantage:-)
I need them to explain to me how they had advance notice that GameStop was going to fall 30%. This is absolutely disgusting Proof of market manipulation in my eyes!
Spreads false or misleading information and is known to participate in blatant stock market manipulation
Whatever Market watch says to do, do the opposite.
I give one star bacause I cant give it zero. Market watch is a crap rag.
Please shut down your sad excuse for a news outlet. And if you decide not to, at the very least implement a higher standard for journalistic best-practices than what currently exist. Go write copy you hacks.
Not satisfied with advertising revenue, now subscription. Very bad move. There are free alternatives.
Honestly, I could use other sites, but the summary of Crypto/Stocks is good enough to get a reading of the day.
The articles are abysmal. May as well call it Commie Watch. Any article about a relationship they take the side of the woman and tell her to divorce/dump the guy. Any article about covid claims it's the virus ruining the economy; not the Fed artificially shutting things down. They pretty much think that open borders, the destruction of the nuclear family, and the general degeneracy is great.
They promote bubbles, they contradict themselves constantly (even the same day) with one article telling you everything is great with X and the other telling you it isn't. Many "articles" are a paragraph long and tell you almost nothing. I think they turned off all comments now that people who disagree with them are commenting.
But. They have an ok Gui for their summary.
Market watch is nothing more than a left leaning publication, that silences any descent by blocking your posts that they do not agree with, these are fact based posts that can easily be checked, for example I posted about former C. I. A. Director John Brennan "bugging" the senate judiciary computers this can be found with a simple search BLOCKED, I can list examples like this all day, Its like watching Lawrence O'donnell for god sake! I Quit Market watch you can have your "one size fits all" thinking good riddance.
I use Marketwatch to get basic financial news. I've noticed over the last years they have more and more liberal articles that are heavily skewed towards socialist policies. And now they want us to pay/subscribe. What a joke! Today was the last straw as a fairly benign comment I posted regarding the fallacy of an article was rejected. I've reread the post and they clearly just don't like that I disagree with the academic elitist author of the article. One of the regulars, Rex Nuttig is one of the main editors and columnist and is dyed in the wool Marxist. So I'm gone for good Marketwatch.
Marketwatch is now a subscription service. Why would I pay for their opinions? I used to read them for the humor value - Never for their advice. The comments at the end of the articles had the most value. Bye Marketwatch!
I was a fan of Market Watch when I was able to freely read the articles (while generously giving the site my views, and putting up with ads) but I won't pay to read these articles. They are entertaining. In a world full of free entertainment. But they don't add value to my life, like, say... food? You people realize it's a pandemic and we haven't received any stimulus in over 6 months right? Sad.
